C15 He Wasnt Dead but He Wasnt Awake!
"This is the price you pay for causing Sen's death!"
"It was your brother who hit someone with the car, not me!"
"Your mistake was being in that car!"
...
"Lin, do you have no heart?!"
...
"Lin, you're a monster. The child you destroyed was your own!"
...
"Zhenzhen, let me take care of you and your child from now on! I don't care whose child it is; I care about embracing the future with you!"
...
"Sis, even though Dad's gone, as long as we stick together, we can overcome anything!"
...
"What kind of sisters are we, really? Same father or same mother?! Zhenzhen, do you know how long I've wished for your downfall?!"
...
"Why are you wasting your breath on her? Is there any point in talking to her anymore?!"
...
"Zhenzhen, you're so naive. How could Cheng ever want that illegitimate child? If it weren't for needing him to inherit the estate, I wouldn't have let him live this long!"
...
"Once the inheritance papers are signed, that child won't be necessary anymore!"
...
When Zhenzhen awoke from her nightmare, two days had passed. The painful memories kept replaying in her mind, tormenting her without mercy. Suddenly, the memories before she lost consciousness flooded back.
Sen!
Sen was dead!
She jolted awake, realizing she was in a hospital room. Her first thought was to escape, to get as far away as possible! She didn't want to be resented by Lin, trapped and tormented by him any longer!
"You're awake!"
A steady male voice reached her ears.
Zhenzhen turned her head in panic and saw Mr. Yang sitting by the hospital bed, handling some work.
"Mr. Yang?"
Zhenzhen struggled to sit up, feeling a burning pain in her neck. When she touched it, she found it wrapped in thick bandages.
"Your neck injury was severe, nearly cutting an artery. Don't move around!" Mr. Yang quickly reminded her, noticing her frightened expression.
"Mr. Yang, that person, the one who was taken to the hospital with Mr. Hsu, did he die?!" Zhenzhen asked urgently, unable to contain her concern.
Yang Keng looked at her with a puzzled expression, surprised that this was her first question upon waking. However, he quickly replied, "No, he's not dead, but he hasn't woken up yet."
"Oh!" Zhenzhen exhaled deeply, relieved. As long as he was alive, it was no longer her concern.
Now, she had the presence of mind to take in Yang Keng's unexpected presence at the hospital. She had assumed he would send an assistant to handle things.
"Actually, I was planning to inform Chairman Ye about your accident," Yang Keng said, his expression complex as he tucked some documents into a folder, signaling a desire for a longer conversation.
Zhenzhen was startled. "Didn't you promise not to tell him?"
"You're Chairman Ye's pride and joy. Not informing him about your accident wouldn't be right," Yang Keng replied calmly. "Besides, it's my responsibility to report anything important to him."
"Then why didn't you?" Zhenzhen asked, now calmer, realizing her father hadn't returned yet, meaning he hadn't been told.
"Take a look at this video first," Yang Keng said, turning the laptop screen toward Zhenzhen and clicking on a video.
It was a news report:
"On September 1st, a brawl in front of the former Iran Society president's memorial has been confirmed as a conflict between the Iran Society and the Six-union Society. Due to its severe impact, all key individuals have been arrested."
"The Iran Society's next president, Yeh Lin, was out of town during the incident. Upon hearing the news, he rushed back and announced the dissolution of the Iran Society. He sincerely apologized to the public, admitting his failure to control members who disrupted social stability. He also claimed that other members of the Iran Society are law-abiding citizens and promised to make amends to society in the future."
"The Six-union Society, with its century-long history, has been forcibly disbanded. The leaders are facing criminal charges for their involvement in this incident."
"With this, the two most legendary organizations in the city have completely vanished!"
