Ye Zhenzhen stared blankly at her laptop screen. In her previous life, Yeh Lin had also taken a hearse around the city. However, when confronting the leader of the Six-union Society at the funeral parlor, he was betrayed by Mr. Bing, barely escaping with his life. Though someone else took the fall, he still ended up spending six months in jail for being unable to retreat in time and allegedly participating in a brawl.

After his release, he led the Iran Society through a transformation, founding Tiansen Group and eventually becoming a legend in the business world, a major player in the industry. This time, however, history had clearly changed. Yeh Lin had an alibi for not being at the scene, indicating he was in control of the entire situation. He was indeed impressive; without prior arrangements and calculations, he wouldn't have chosen to end things that day. Rumor had it that his father was taken down by the Six-union Society, and his revenge was executed brilliantly.

Yang Keng observed the changes in Ye Zhenzhen's expression, then clicked on another video. It was traffic footage, capturing the moments before Yeh Sen's Maybach collided with Ye Zhenzhen's BMW. Ye Zhenzhen glanced at the video, unsure of Yang Keng's intentions.

"Look here!" Yang Keng didn't explain, instead freezing the frame at the moment Ye Zhenzhen was held at gunpoint. Ye Zhenzhen's eyes narrowed as she looked at Yang Keng. His gaze was intense as he pointed to the barely discernible figure of a man, whose features were unclear, and directly asked, "Who is this person pointing a gun at you?!"

Ye Zhenzhen's heart stopped momentarily, staring at Yang Keng in shock, unable to speak. The atmosphere in the hospital room became tense. For a long while, silence prevailed.

Yang Keng kept his eyes fixed on Ye Zhenzhen, determined to get an answer. Ye Zhenzhen met his gaze, recognizing him as the person her father trusted the most. He was at his prime, embodying the stability and vitality of a thirty-year-old man, decisive and efficient in his actions. He followed closely behind Guqin, gradually earning respect in the Ye family, second only to her father.

After her father passed away, he almost single-handedly took control of the Ye family business. At that time, she didn't see how hard he was working. Instead, she was influenced by her stepmother to act impulsively and seize power, which led to them drifting apart and eventually becoming adversaries.

Back then, in her foolishness, she pushed away the only person who truly cared for her.

Now, with time turned back, she has a chance to mend their relationship.

But this matter is life and death—can she really tell him?

"Mr. Yang, can I trust you?"

In the awkward silence, Zhenzhen finally spoke, but her question only added to the tension.

Yet, Mr. Yang's expression didn't change. He simply nodded slightly.

No grand words, no exaggerated expressions—just a subtle gesture that felt incredibly trustworthy.

"What exactly was your relationship with my dad?!"

Zhenzhen couldn't help but ask again. She had always been puzzled by why her father trusted Mr. Yang so much, even specifying in his will that Mr. Yang should oversee everything and instructing her to trust him unconditionally.

After her father's death, Mr. Yang had countless opportunities to take over the Ye family business or, at the very least, use its connections to start his own venture. But he stayed, guarding her father's legacy, waiting for her to be ready to take on the responsibility and return the business to her.

Until she made those foolish moves and finally drove him away.

"Why do you ask?" Mr. Yang could clearly sense that after the recent accident, she had changed. The once spoiled young lady seemed to have matured overnight, reaching a level where he could see her as an equal.

"You two didn't seem like just a typical superior-subordinate relationship!" Zhenzhen stated confidently.

"Your father showed great kindness to me and my family," Mr. Yang replied, his words simple but carrying the weight of a thousand pounds.

Ye Zhenzhen nodded, as if this was the only explanation that made sense.

"Can you tell me now?" Yang Keng asked sharply, still insisting on an answer.
