C3 Miserable Death!(last part)

Ye Zhenzhen's eyes widened in shock as she suddenly found the strength to sit up and grab Ye Tiantian by the collar. "We are... sisters..."

She had thought their relationship was just a moment of weakness, but Tiantian's words cut deep. Were they in cahoots all along?

"Sisters? What a joke!" Tiantian's eyes were filled with resentment as she pried Zhenzhen's hand away and shoved her back. "What kind of sisters are we, really? Same father or same mother?"

"Ye Zhenzhen, do you know how long I've wished for your death?"

Zhenzhen fell back onto the bed heavily, her vision darkening. Only then did she remember that Tiantian wasn't her sister by blood at all. She was just the daughter of her stepmother, and because her stepmother was kind and she herself was well-behaved, they had been as close as sisters.

"If it weren't for your late father's will stating that the Ye family fortune could only be inherited by you or your child, do you think Cheng would have let you live this long?" Tiantian sneered.

"Looking at you now, you really do resemble your late mother. But soon, you'll be joining her! In the end, it will be my mother and me who rule the Ye family!"

"What are you saying?!" Zhenzhen struggled to get up, but her body, weakened by blood loss, had no strength left.

Her mother... wasn't she supposed to have died in childbirth with her brother?

"I said, your way of dying is exactly like your mother's!" Tiantian covered her mouth with a light laugh, but the malice in her words sent chills down Zhenzhen's spine.

"Ye... Tiantian!"

Zhenzhen gritted her teeth, her heart boiling with hatred, as she turned her gaze to Lu Cheng, who stood coldly by. "Did you know about all this too?!"

"What are you still dreaming about? As long as we have the child, the Ye family fortune is ours! Did you really think someone would pursue you for five years, even if you were pregnant with some unknown man's child, and still want to marry you?" Tiantian mocked her naivety. "Besides, you're practically deaf!"

"What are you wasting your breath on her for?" Lu Cheng finally spoke, his usual gentle demeanor replaced by a chilling indifference. "Is there really anything left to say to her?"

"The doctor did mention saying final goodbyes," Tiantian sidled up to Lu Cheng, wrapping her arms around his neck and pouting playfully. "After all, we were like sisters once. It wouldn’t be right to let her go with regrets."

"You're always so considerate," Lu Cheng chuckled, pulling her closer and giving her a playful squeeze. "Once we're back, let's try that position again—I really enjoyed it!"

Zhenzhen was overwhelmed by their blatant disregard, glaring at them with such intensity that she coughed up blood.

"Feeling upset? Frustrated? Let me help you with that!" Tiantian smirked at Zhenzhen's expression, planting a quick kiss on Lu Cheng's cheek. "Honey, give me just a moment!"

With that, she walked over and removed Zhenzhen's oxygen mask, causing her to struggle for breath.

Still unsatisfied, Tiantian yanked out Zhenzhen's IV line. "It's better for you to find peace sooner rather than later!"

Zhenzhen was in agony, her body convulsing uncontrollably as she gasped for air, like a fish out of water.

Never had she felt more certain that she was on the brink of death.

"Oh, and I almost forgot to mention—once the property transfer is signed, I'll return your child to you. Then you can all be together as a family!" Tiantian added with a sweet smile, delivering the final blow.

"You... lied... to me!" Zhenzhen's scream was a desperate effort, her eyes fixed on Lu Cheng as another mouthful of blood erupted from her lips. Her throat burned, but all she could manage was a hoarse, rasping sound, unable to utter another word.

Back then, if he hadn't promised to treat her child as his own and care for them both for a lifetime during her darkest moments, she would never have chosen to marry him.

"Zhenzhen, you're so naive. How could anyone want that illegitimate child, Cheng? If it weren't for needing him to inherit the estate, who would let him live this long?" Tiantian sneered, then turned to Lu Cheng with a pout, "Isn't that right?"

Lu Cheng nodded in agreement, "Once the inheritance papers are signed, there won't be any need for that child to exist."

A wave of hatred crashed over Zhenzhen, threatening to tear her apart. She thought nothing could hurt her more tonight, but this was the final, devastating blow. They truly were despicable.

The heart monitor by the bed showed a flat line, beeping steadily.

"Doctor, doctor, is my sister going to make it?" Tiantian called out from the ambulance, feigning a look of sorrow.

Zhenzhen lay there, her eyes wide open in defiance, pupils dilated, body rigid.

The lead doctor stepped into the ambulance, glancing at the torn-off respirator and blood transfusion tube. His eyes flickered briefly, but he simply removed his mask and whispered in her right ear, "Mr. Yeh sends his regards."

With that, he gently closed her eyes.

Those were the last words Zhenzhen heard in this world.
