C6 Meeting Him Again!!
Ye Zhenzhen stood up, her chest filled with a wave of anger and despair, her fists clenched tightly. Was she really powerless to do anything?
The sharp smell of gasoline reminded her that if she delayed any longer, the car she had just been sitting in would definitely explode!
Her eyes darted around the convoy, knowing the person giving orders had to be among them. At the back of the convoy, she noticed a car that stood out—a sleek, black stretch Bentley.
Without hesitating, she sprinted toward it, the sound of the engine revving reaching her ears. Faster, she urged herself. Just a little more effort, and she could change everything!
Her throat felt like it was on fire as she finally reached the Bentley just before it started moving. She banged on the window with all her might. "Please, help me! I'm begging you, please help!"
One car passed... then another... The cars at the front of the convoy were already moving again, and soon this one would too. But still, no one paid her any attention.
Zhenzhen glanced at the BMW parked crookedly by the roadside, then back at the Bentley, her determination only growing stronger. She pounded on the window even harder, reopening the wound she had gotten when she forced open the BMW door. Blood trickled down the glass, a stark and desperate sight.
Yet, there was still no response from inside.
Her eyes filled with despair as she prepared to turn away. Just then, the Bentley's window slowly rolled down, revealing the profile of a man.
When the window was fully open, Zhenzhen gasped. How could it be him?
His features were sharp and striking, as if chiseled from stone, combining into a strange harmony and an irresistible allure. The air around him seemed to freeze, sending a shiver down her spine.
Ye Zhenzhen's heart clenched involuntarily, her hand instinctively protecting her stomach, but the flatness of her belly reminded her that it wasn't ten years later when she discovered her pregnancy and felt utterly trapped.
The last words she heard before her death echoed like a curse in her ears: "Mr. Yeh sends his regards!" Those words were a deep-seated scar on her soul, a curse she couldn't escape even in death.
She knew he hated her, just as she hated him. Yet, she had no idea what role he played in the incident that led to her demise while he was imprisoned.
Now, he was right in front of her. And she didn't even dare to show her hatred!
Ye Zhenzhen summoned all her willpower to resist the urge to flee, her nails digging into her palms to keep her mind clear. She hypnotically reminded herself that it was ten years ago, that he didn't know her, and she didn't know him!
She hadn't yet been trapped by him for three years, only to be moved by Lu Cheng during her most vulnerable moment and eventually marry him. None of that had happened yet.
This man had nothing to do with her!
So, just treat him like a stranger. Don't be afraid. Breathe deeply, relax...
The man in the car glanced at Ye Zhenzhen with a cold, disdainful look at her stunned expression. As the window began to roll up, Ye Zhenzhen snapped back to reality, quickly grabbing the window to stop it from closing.
"Please, can you help save someone? The accident up ahead is serious, and there's going to be an explosion!"
"What does that have to do with me?!"
The deep voice, the indifferent tone, was just as she remembered. His gaze cut through her like a knife, making her skin crawl with tension.
Ye Zhenzhen bit her lower lip, suppressing the fear she felt deep inside. There was no time for hesitation; she had already made up her mind. Looking at the man, she spoke, "Are you in a hurry to get revenge? For your father?"
As she spoke, her gaze shifted from the mourning band on his arm to the back of the Bentley—specifically, the somber hearse behind it. Her slender, pale finger pointed directly at the enlarged black-and-white photo on the hearse.
The Range Rovers ahead had already driven off, leaving only the Bentley and the hearse behind.
The car window rolled down again, and the man inside furrowed his brow slightly, asking, "Who are you?!"
Before Ye Zhenzhen could answer, she heard a sharp "click" beside her—the sound of a bullet being loaded. Immediately, the dark barrel of a gun emerged from the car, aimed squarely at her forehead.
