C8 Who Are You?!
At that moment, Yeh Lin lifted Ye Zhenzhen's chin, forcing her to look at the photo. "If you want to hate someone, hate Mr. Bing. If his people hadn't tampered with the car that day, Sen wouldn't have died. And if Sen hadn't died, you wouldn't be caught in this mess. So, don't forget to add him to your list of people to hate!"
He seemed like a figure rising from the flames of hell, his eyes burning with anger and hatred. She realized then how strong his desire for revenge was. Even though he knew she was innocent, she was the only survivor of that crash and was destined to suffer. As for Mr. Bing, who betrayed his father, Yeh Lin wanted him to never find peace, even in death.
Now, Mr. Bing stood right in front of her. Memories threatened to overwhelm her, and fearing her expression might give her away, Ye Zhenzhen quickly turned to the car accident scene and said, "Go ahead, check if your young master is in that overturned car!"
Mr. Bing shot her a fierce glare and headed toward the Maybach. The window of the black Bentley was still half-open, and Yeh Lin's sharp gaze remained fixed on her face. Ye Zhenzhen avoided his eyes, focusing on the accident scene instead. Her face felt like it had been cut by something sharp, her heart in turmoil, but she dared not show it.
He must be wondering who she really was, but she couldn't let him find out. After all, she was the one who would eventually bring down his business empire and send him to prison.
"Who are you?!"
The voice from the car was cold enough to freeze someone in their tracks. Yeh Lin couldn't believe an ordinary girl her age would have the courage to confront him, especially with such knowledge of his affairs. Ye Zhenzhen turned her gaze back, meeting those icy eyes.
Inside, there was only a cold, indifferent confusion, not the memory of his glance back before getting into the police car, filled with hatred, unwillingness, and a raging fury, like a hurricane that could sweep away everything, or a black hole that could swallow it all.
She kept reassuring herself that this was the price Yeh Lin deserved to pay. He had nearly destroyed the best years of her youth, and she owed him nothing! Yet, when faced with him from ten years ago, she still hadn’t figured out how to answer his questions.
In the suffocating silence, Mr. Bing, who had already assessed the situation with the overturned Maybach, broke the standoff between them.
"Sir, it's the Second Young Master!"
Yeh Lin's eyes changed instantly. He flung open the car door and rushed to the overturned Maybach. "What are you waiting for? Help him!"
As soon as he got out, others from the Maybach and the following car quickly followed. Ye Zhenzhen hurried to the accident scene. Seeing them pull Yeh Sen from the car, she urgently shouted, "There's someone else in the BMW! Please, help them too!"
No one responded, as if they hadn't heard her.
"Please, it's a matter of life and death! Help him too!" Ye Zhenzhen pleaded with the men in black suits with white flowers, but they remained unmoved.
Someone glanced at Yeh Lin, and Ye Zhenzhen knew he was the key. She pushed past her strong reluctance and approached him, pleading, "Please, save him. What I said earlier has been proven, hasn't it?"
Yeh Lin didn’t even look at her, instead pushing others aside to check on Yeh Sen on the ground. Despite the blood covering his face, he was still breathing.
"Sir, we're running out of time!" someone reminded him.
"So what if we are? Nothing is more important than Sen!"
Yeh Lin's words carried a hint of obsession, along with a childishness that Ye Zhenzhen had never seen before. She watched him with a complex expression as he humbly knelt on the ground, carefully examining Yeh Sen. It was clear to her once again just how important Yeh Sen was to him—so important that he seemed to have forgotten the purpose of today.
"I'm the one who told you about your brother, so don't you think you should help me save the person in that car?"
Even though she knew it wasn't the best time to interrupt Yeh Lin, she was running out of time.
