C1 Rebirth 80 Was Forced to Get Married!
“Hey, where did you put my medicine? I can't find it anywhere.” An elderly man's voice crackled over the phone.
Zhou Ruonan, driving her mobility scooter home, responded with a hint of impatience, “Oh, come on, didn't I leave it on your coffee table before I left? Just don't move around too much, I'm on my way back...”
“Ah!” Before she could finish, two bright lights flashed, and a large truck came barreling toward her.
“Hey, what happened? Hello? Are you okay?”
---
“Stay back!” A loud shout echoed from a small, rustic house.
Outside, a middle-aged couple exchanged satisfied smiles, especially the man with dark spots on his face, who looked particularly smug.
“Looks like we'll be holding a grandchild next year.”
“Let's go, no need to eavesdrop.” The woman tugged at the man's sleeve, whispering, and he followed her back to the house next door.
Inside the rustic house, a young girl, barely eighteen or nineteen, watched the man with the crooked grin standing by the bed, her eyes filled with anxiety.
“Liu Ergou? Didn't he get trapped in that coal mine a few years back? How is he alive?” Zhou Ruonan's face was full of shock.
Seeing the nervous young girl sitting on the bed, Liu Ergou felt a surge of excitement. He never imagined that at over thirty, he'd have the chance to get married.
"Girl, once you're married, you stick with your man, no matter what," said Liu Ergou as he reached to pull at Ruonan's clothes.
Ruonan's shirt had a row of small buttons, and with one yank, Liu Ergou tore off a few, revealing her pale skin.
"Liu Ergou, you jerk!" Ruonan shouted, desperately trying to cover herself with one hand while pushing him away with the other.
Liu Ergou only got more excited by her cries, his actions becoming even more aggressive, showing no hint of compassion.
In the next room, a couple was wide awake, listening to the commotion with a sense of satisfaction.
"Honey, it's been years since we had anything like that, hasn't it? Being young is something else," the middle-aged man sighed.
"You're incorrigible. Just go to sleep and stop thinking about what's in your pants," the woman replied, turning over.
"Bang!"
Suddenly, a loud crash came from outside, like something had collapsed.
Startled, the couple quickly dressed and rushed outside.
Smoke filled the yard, and they saw that the door of the neighboring mud-brick house had been smashed open by a large bull, with a young boy sitting on its back, slapping its sides.
"You little rascal, what have you done?" The man was both shocked and angry, rushing forward to pull the young boy down.
The boy, startled, quickly shouted to the girl inside, "Ruonan, I'm here to rescue you! Come with me now!"
Without a second thought, Ruonan jumped onto the back of the cow, completely unfazed.
"If you dare run, I'll report you to the authorities tomorrow!" the middle-aged woman shouted angrily, realizing Ruonan was really about to escape.
Riding away on the cow, Ruonan shouted back, "You can report me all the way to the state capital, but I'm not marrying into that family, no way!"
Her mind was racing, and she suddenly understood that she had been reborn in 1980, the year she was 18.
That year, she had just taken her college entrance exams, and if she remembered correctly, her acceptance letter would arrive soon.
