C5 Faang Xiao

With her head lowered, Shan Ruoshui's long hair partially obscured her face, which bore an enigmatic smile.

"Who's that girl?" At the other end of the hallway, a pair of eyes hidden behind sunglasses showed a hint of admiration, the smile on his lips mirroring the one on Shan Ruoshui's face. This person had a flawless, elegant presence.

"Faang Xiao, who are you looking at?" Lu Xu stood beside Faang Xiao, peering in the same direction. "That girl..."

"I'm looking at the bold newcomer my sister mentioned," Faang Xiao said, pointing at Shan Ruoshui.

"Who is she? She looks kind of familiar," Lu Xu said, frowning at the girl. "Does Faang Qing really know someone like her?"

"Shan Ruoshui," Faang Xiao replied with the girl's name.

Their conversation wasn't quiet, so Shan Ruoshui naturally heard it. She turned her head, a fleeting chill in her eyes that Faang Xiao caught. Seeing him, the name "Faang Xiao" surfaced in her mind. She looked away, puzzled about why this famous actor was here, her eyes flickering with curiosity.

Faang Xiao crossed his arms, observing the girl.

Shan Ruoshui sighed helplessly. She had only intended to stand by the door to garner a bit of sympathy, but now this actor was causing a stir. Lifting her head, she walked over to Faang Xiao and Lu Xu, nodding slightly. "Hello, Mr. Faang."

Mr. Faang...? Faang Xiao chuckled; it was the first time someone had addressed him like that. Usually, he was called Movie King Faang or Young Master Faang. The title "Mr. Faang" was indeed rare.

"Hahaha, someone actually called you that..." Lu Xu laughed even harder, but Faang Xiao's icy gaze eventually silenced him.

"Hello, Shan Ruoshui, nice to meet you," Faang Xiao said, retracting his gaze and extending his hand.

Shan Ruoshui looked at Faang Xiao in surprise. A major movie star actually paying attention to a newcomer like her? Are all big stars this nice now, or is he just pretending to be friendly like she and Xi Mu used to do? She quickly extended her hand for a handshake, barely touching his before pulling back. "Hello."

Faang Xiao glanced at his hand, which she seemed to avoid like the plague, then clenched it and withdrew with a soft chuckle. His demeanor was as graceful and elegant as everyone said, even his chuckle was easy on the eyes. "I heard from Faang Qing that you're quite impressive."

Ruoshui raised an eyebrow. Faang Qing? Why mention him suddenly? "That's high praise from Director Faang. I'm not sure I deserve it."

"Your voice is excellent," Faang Xiao said, trusting Faang Qing's words even though he hadn't heard it himself. "Staying in this group might ultimately hold you back. I hope you reach your peak soon."

"I know what I need to do. Thank you... thank you for your guidance," Ruoshui replied, puzzled by Faang Xiao's actions. In her previous life, she hadn't interacted with him, only knowing him to be as cunning as a fox. Since when did someone with such a sly reputation offer... well, not quite advice, but something close?

Seeing Ruoshui switch to calling him "senior," Faang Xiao nodded in satisfaction. He had to admit, "Mr." sounded a bit harsh to the ears; "senior" was much more pleasing.

Ruoshui couldn't understand what Faang Xiao was so pleased about. His slightly narrowed eyes carried a hint of charm, making him quite pleasing to the eye. However, Ruoshui smiled politely; appearances didn't hold much appeal for her. She'd seen plenty of attractive faces before, many even more striking than Faang Xiao's.

Despite his charming smile, Faang Xiao couldn't capture the adoring gaze of the younger generation, feeling a bit frustrated but not showing it. "Do you have a company in mind?"

Lu Xu remembered Faang Xiao's cold gaze and didn't dare speak, but he could still send a look his way. He glanced at Faang Xiao—Hey, hey, hey, you're not planning to poach someone for your brother, are you?

Shan Ruoshui had the same thought and was a bit wary. Was she, a newcomer, really worth the concern of a top actor? "Thank you for your concern, but I'll think it over myself," Shan Ruoshui said, bowing slightly and intending to leave. With people bustling around, quite a few were already watching them.

Faang Xiao could tell Shan Ruoshui wanted to leave. Other newcomers would love to stick around him longer, but she seemed eager to escape, which was amusing. Faang Xiao had no intention of stopping her.

"Well, I'll be going then," she said, spotting Meng Hao turning the corner. Shan Ruoshui nodded and ran towards him.

Faang Xiao watched as Shan Ruoshui said something to Meng Hao, who then looked furious. Remembering the earlier incident with her teammates slamming doors, he couldn't help but laugh.

"It's rare to see you so amused. What's so interesting?" Lu Xu asked, regaining his right to speak after Shan Ruoshui left. He was surprised at how much Faang Xiao had laughed in such a short time. Usually, when Faang Xiao laughed like that, it meant someone was either in trouble or had caught his attention. So, which was it for Shan Ruoshui?
