C9 He Was Impotent!

Gong Mochen stood tall and straight, his handsome features set in a somewhat cold expression. He didn't have the same commanding presence as Gong Lingye, but he was striking nonetheless.

Soong Yiren couldn't fathom what Yu Ruonuan found so appealing about him. Ruonuan frequently skipped classes just to see him, neglecting her studies in the process. Soong Yiren sighed inwardly.

Without taking a seat, Gong Mochen fixed Soong Yiren with a chilly stare. "What do you want?"

Pointing to the seat across from her, Soong Yiren blinked playfully. "Mr. Mochen, you're quite the head-turner. Standing here, you're bound to draw attention. Do you really want eavesdroppers for our conversation?"

A frown creased Gong Mochen's brow, his eyes betraying undisguised revulsion. With visible restraint, he sat down. "Out with it. What do you want to say?"

Soong Yiren was direct. "There's a banquet at your place this Sunday. It'll be a gathering of Imperial City's elite. I need two invitations. And I intend to attend as your girlfriend."

Gong Mochen regarded her as if she were out of her mind. "And why would I agree to that?"

This repulsive woman had realized that her usual tactic of distancing herself to get what she wanted wasn't working anymore. She had lost all sense of shame.

Soong Yiren sipped her coffee, her voice light and tinged with amusement. "You saw the text I sent you earlier, right? Imagine if all of Imperial City, not to mention Hua Country, heard that Gong Mochen was impotent. I wonder what they'd think."

At her words, Gong Mochen felt a surge of murderous intent.

Unfazed, Soong Yiren continued, "Mr. Mochen, I've set up a little program. If my wish isn't granted by Sunday, that message will go viral across Hua Country and the world. Curious about the fallout?"

In a swift motion, Gong Mochen grabbed Soong Yiren's wrist, his grip so tight it could snap her bones.

Despite the increasing pressure, she remained silent, holding his gaze.

Seeing the unwavering resolve in Soong Yiren's eyes, Gong Mochen's annoyance grew. He released her wrist with a look of loathing and wiped his hand with a handkerchief, as if to cleanse himself of their contact. His anger was far from subsiding.

Yes, he had recently become impotent, prompting him to consult a doctor.

Ever since a minor car accident at the start of last month, which resulted in an injury to his genitals, he's been dealing with this issue. The doctor initially assured him there would be no lasting effects, but since the injury, there's been no response from his genitals.

He had hoped for a quick recovery, but even after a week of healing, the impotence persisted.

He even tested his reaction to pornographic videos, to no avail. Consequently, he sought medical advice in secret.

The doctor found no physiological issues and suggested it might be psychological, recommending that Gong Mochen pursue psychological therapy.

He has been seeing a psychiatrist for two weeks now, with no improvement.

But how could this girl possibly know about his condition?

Soong Yiren regained her composure, locking eyes with Gong Mochen as she spoke earnestly, "Young Master Gong, to be honest, I don't love you, nor do I desire anything from you. My actions were born out of desperation. Frankly, I need the status of being your girlfriend, and I'm asking for a year of your time. After that year, I promise not to trouble you or disclose your health issues to anyone. Plus, I'll offer you a compensation that I'm sure you'll find indispensable."

Gong Mochen ignored Soong Yiren's mention of a "compensation," finding her statement utterly absurd.

His concern was directed elsewhere.

Squinting, he pressed, "How did you come to know about this?"
