C746 I Want to Hug You

Shen Yi no longer had any problem with her clothes as she stroked her beard. She could not win, so she admitted defeat. She could only take a bath and sleep.

There was no morning class on Wednesday, so Shen Yi rarely slept in. She got up at 7: 30 and went to the restaurant for breakfast after tidying up at 8: 00.

She never had to worry about breakfast when staying at Ni Chenjun's place. Once she went out, she could see breakfast arranged neatly on the dining table. In the middle of the dining table, there was a white porcelain vase with a bunch of fresh flowers with water droplets in it. The curtains were pulled open. So she could see the light reflected by the sunlight on the flower petals and the golden trail of dancing dust in the air. Shen Yi smelled the sweet scent of bread and jam in the air. Her heart was extremely calm, but there was an indescribable warmth spreading in that calmness. Bit by bit, it broke her heart that had been frozen for many years.

Shen Yi did not immediately leave the room. Instead, she leaned against the door and quietly watched Ni Chenjun who was wearing an apron and working in the kitchen with his head lowered. Ni Chenjun was very tall. When he stood together, he was more than half a head taller than her. So the kitchen sink was a little too low for him.

There was the sound of water in the kitchen, and Ni Chenjun was washing something in front of the sink. His waist was very short, and his legs were very straight. The apron tied his waist clearly and the sun flashed. He could even vaguely distinguish the color of the skin under the white shirt. When she first came, she did not see him cook with her own eyes, but she ate a bowl of fried noodles with him. After that, when she came back from the bar, he had already prepared breakfast. She also didn't stand behind him quietly and see him make breakfast for her. But it seemed that it was always like this. He could make her wake up at the right time. Once she went out, there would be a table full of delicious food to welcome her.

Shen Yi quietly watched for a while. Before he turned around with the washed carrot, she closed the door behind her.

Ni Chenjun heard the sound of the door opening and looked back at her with a smile. "Good morning. Did you sleep well last night?"

Shen Yi slowly walked over and stood beside him. She watched him peel the carrot and cut it into small pieces, then put it into the juicer with the sliced apple pieces. "Good morning. She slept until dawn."

"That's good." Ni Chenjun smiled. "Go outside and sit. I'll fry another egg."

After saying that, he did not care about Shen Yi's reaction. He just turned around and went to the fridge to get the eggs.

Shen Yi did not go out. When Ni Chenjun heated the pot and prepared to fry the eggs, she poured the juice in the juicer into two cups and dripped a drop of olive oil and some honey on each cup.

The fried egg in the frying pan sizzled. Even if there was a smoking pipe, there were still some naughty oil particles with a nice smell that went into her nose.

Shen Yi took a deep breath. "It smells so good."

Ni Chenjun held a small spade in his hand and gently fiddled with the fried egg. From time to time, he would look at her a few times, "Just wait a little longer."

Shen Yi responded and did not say anything else.

Ni Chenjun felt that something was not right with Shen Yi this morning. Usually, she was very enthusiastic about eating. Unlike today, she did not even come close to the frying pan when she came in. Instead, she quietly stood beside him and watched him fry the egg. She did not answer him. He looked sickly.

When it was almost time to fry the egg, Ni Chenjun turned off the fire and put the fried egg on the plate. Just as he was about to turn around, Shen Yi hugged him from behind.

Ni Chenjun was stunned. He was stunned for a moment before he asked, "What's wrong?"

Shen Yi held Ni Chenjun's waist with both hands. Her face was pressed against his back. "I just want to hug you."

Shen Yi felt the temperature and the strength of the muscles under her face through the fabric. She felt that her originally calm heart was also inexplicably rippling.
