C917 Orphanage and Adoption

It's an abandoned orphanage.

Because some developers saw the future economic benefits of this piece of land, the wealthy developers decided to buy this piece of land to build a commercial district. The orphanage faced the fate of demolition.

But this was a public orphanage. There was no demolition money, only chaos and chaos.

There were not many people in the orphanage. Most of them were children with disabilities and no one was adopting them. Plus, they were old, so no one was willing to take them away.

Ivan was a healthy child, and she was beautiful. Unfortunately, she was already eight years old and could remember many things, so no one was willing to adopt her. She could only be sent to another unfamiliar orphanage with other children.

On the day of her departure, the director combed her two braids and tied her favorite butterfly hairband at the end of her hair. The director quietly helped her pack her small schoolbag and took her to the car of the new orphanage without saying a word.

Ivan could not bear to part with the director, even though the director was fierce. He would always hit her palm, but no matter what, he was still the person who raised and taught her for eight years. Furthermore, the most familiar person in the world would not follow her to the new orphanage.

She stuck her head out of the window and looked at the director standing at the entrance of the hospital. She expressionlessly watched the car drive away. Her hands were hanging by her side, and she did not wave at her to send her away as she had imagined.

She probably couldn't see clearly.

She thought for a moment, then reached out her hand to the window and waved at the dean.

Maybe she was wrong, or maybe the road to leave the orphanage was bumpy, but she actually felt that the dean was smiling at her.

After so many years, this was actually the first time she had seen the dean smile.

She had never seen the director smile before, so she did not know what this smile meant. She only knew that it was not a happy smile. At least, it was not a smile as satisfied as when they got candy and toys.

Ivan arrived at the new orphanage. The orphanage was very beautiful. It was very big, and the director was kind and gentle. When he smiled, it was very nice. In the orphanage, she saw a small playground and classroom. There were children in the classroom who were in class. On the podium stood a young and beautiful sister, who was teaching everyone how to write.

Ivan looked at them through the clear window. She instantly fell in love with the orphanage.

This place was very clean. There were cleaning aunties, cooking delicious uncles. There were also many gentle instructors and older sisters. Although there were always boys bullying her, every time the instructors and aunties saw her, they would stop her. She even made a friend, and she lost an eyeball. However, Ivan felt that it was very good when she heard from the director that he would arrange a surgery for her with an artificial eyeball.

Sometimes, Ivan would be bullied by the boys and cry, but she still felt very happy because she could learn arithmetic with the instructor's sister. Only when she was holding the pen, could she smile without any scruples.

Ivan did not stay in the orphanage for long before a couple came to adopt a child. They immediately took a fancy to Ivan, who was quietly writing at the table.

The director said that she was old and remembered that they really wanted to adopt her.

The husband and wife said yes, and then Ivan had parents.

But they did not want Ivan to call them parents, nor did they ask her to change her name, because they said that their child would come back one day.

Ivan carefully fawned over her adoptive parents, but only called them in her diary and essay.

Her adoptive parents treated her quite well. They gave her food, new clothes, and even spent money to let her go to school.

Ivan did not have any friends in school, because everyone disliked that she did not have parents. She had filed a lawsuit because of this, but the outcome was still unresolved. Because her adoptive parents said when the teacher called home, She is not biological, but adopted. Don't call me again in the future.

Ivan knew that she was adopted and that they were not her biological parents, but their words still made her feel sad.

In the school, children without adults supporting them were pitiful. Because even if she spent her books and threw away her toolbox, no one would stand out and teach her a lesson even if she was stuck in the alley and threatened. In the end, they would feel that they were destined to be bullied.

Ivan did not dare to resist because she was afraid of bringing trouble to her adoptive parents. She was also afraid that her adoptive parents would abandon her or say the words "not biological."

Although she understood that she was not, she always felt that she should be.

They only had one child. Even if she was not now, sooner or later she would be.
