C2 Who Are You? Why Haven't You Died Yet?

That face frequently appeared in the media.

Gu Chi!

Known as "Crazy Gu" or "Chi," he was the seventh child, a wild and unpredictable figure who returned two years ago. Rumor had it he was ruthless, cunning, and unfaithful, with a mother who passed away early. His brothers and uncles either died or went mad under mysterious circumstances, supposedly his doing. He even subjected his stepmother to unspeakable cruelty. A true villain, a madman!

Yet, like her, he was also short-lived in a previous life, dying before reaching 27.

In her past life, Qiao Mo heard the roar of a plane and saw Gu Chi's face, hiding in a cave, too scared to come out. This time, she was determined to change her fate, seek revenge, and make different choices.

Qiao Mo crouched down, clutching her head, muttering, "Don't kill me, don't kill me."

Footsteps crunched on the sand, echoing like they were treading on her heart.

"Thump! Thump! Thump!" Her heart raced, feeling like it might leap out of her chest.

She held her breath, unable to inhale or exhale.

A pair of hiking boots came into view, leading up to long legs clad in white casual pants, the sea breeze fluttering the cuffs. A sharp gaze fixed on her.

Qiao Mo looked up and met a pair of narrow, almond-shaped eyes, bright as stars but with a gaze as cold as death, scrutinizing her from above. She immediately lowered her eyes, trembling visibly.

Her head was pressed against the barrel of a gun, and it felt like any movement would trigger the gun, making her head explode like a watermelon. Her mind raced with fear.

The man in front of her exuded an overwhelming sense of intimidation, making it hard for her to breathe.

"Who are you? Why are you on this island? How are you still alive?" His voice was deep and cold, like a winter chill, as if it could pierce through her like a bullet.

Qiao Mo tilted her face up, forcing a harmless smile despite her shaking body, and replied softly, "My name is Tong Mo. I accidentally fell into the sea two months ago and drifted to this island."

The man crouched down, his face strikingly handsome, with eyebrows that seemed to touch his temples and those same narrow eyes, cold and sharp. His nose was high and his skin smooth, though unusually pale.

"Is that so? Your storytelling skills need work." He moved the gun to Qiao Mo's temple.

"Thump! Thump! Thump!" Qiao Mo could hear her own heartbeat, loud and frantic like a drum.

Qiao Mo lowered her gaze, staring at her hiking boots. Two lifelike snakes were painted on the surface, startling her so much that she plopped down onto the sand.

"I'm not kidding, I've been living on this island for 57 days."

The next second, the man suddenly grabbed Qiao Mo's chin, lifting it so her eyes met his fierce, cold stare.

"Ah~~ ah!! It hurts! It hurts!" Qiao Mo screamed in pain, feeling like her bones were about to be crushed, collapsing onto the sand.

Tears welled up in Qiao Mo's eyes, streaming down her face in no time.

"Why are you doing this? I finally meet someone alive on this island, and you want to kill me?"

"Do you know who I am?"

"Gu... seventh young master."

The man released her chin and grabbed her slender wrists with a grip like iron. Qiao Mo gasped, rubbing the sore spots.

"Young master Gu, I swear, if I'm lying, I'm a liar. Just get me off this island, and I'll do anything you want. I won't spill a word about you."

"Anything?" The man looked at her with a deep, penetrating gaze.

"Yes! Anything, as long as you get me out of here."

The tall, burly man holding a gun said, "Mr. Chi, you can't trust this woman. Who could survive alone on this island for two months?"

"Fine, get rid of her." The man stared directly into Qiao Mo's eyes.
