The dinner went by without any drama, and most people left before I finished eating, making it easy for me to clear my plate. As I carried the tray, one of the servants approached me.

"Please leave the plates here. They'll be cleared soon," she said.

I was slightly surprised, as in my pack, it was customary for servants like us to clear dishes after meals. I felt out of place
