C5 Richest Man in Cangzhou

"What's your business here?" The towering black-faced security guard eyed Chen Feng with a hostile gaze.

"I'm here to see someone," Chen Feng replied truthfully.

"To see someone?" The security guard scoffed, "Do you even know where you are?"

"Mount Yuquan," Chen Feng responded calmly.

"Damn, you know this is Mount Yuquan and you still have the nerve to look for someone? Think anyone here would know you?" Wang Dahai laughed scornfully. Chen Feng's entire outfit didn't look like it was worth a hundred yuan, and he was riding a delivery e-bike. How could he possibly have any connection to the residents of this upscale villa community?

Chen Feng's brow furrowed. He had been so intent on staying under the radar that he hadn't anticipated encountering a prejudiced security guard.

Wang Dahai grew more insolent as Chen Feng remained quiet, convinced he had unmasked him.

"So, who is it you're after, kid? Secretary Li or Boss Shen?" Wang Dahai taunted. Li Juncheng and Shen Hongchang were the most renowned figures in all of Cangzhou City—one the top official and the other the wealthiest man. Many had come up the mountain claiming to know them, only to be debunked and roughed up by Wang Dahai.

"I'm here for Shen Hongchang. I've purchased a villa from him and I'm here to check it out," Chen Feng sighed. He knew Wang Dahai was unlikely to believe him, but he was willing to give him one more chance. If Wang Dahai allowed him entry, he could overlook the entire incident, considering he would be a resident here soon.

As expected, Chen Feng was met with raucous laughter.

Wang Dahai doubled over, laughing until tears rolled down his cheeks.

"Hahaha, did you all hear that? This fool claims he bought a villa from Boss Shen—I'm dying of laughter here."

"Has he lost his mind? Doesn't he realize that even a square meter of these villas is beyond his reach, even if he sold himself?"

"If he could afford one of these villas, I'd eat his electric bike."

The security guards were beside themselves with laughter, having encountered their fair share of boasters, but never someone like Chen Feng, who boldly claimed ownership of a Mount Yuquan villa right off the bat.

This wasn't just boasting anymore; this was outright dreaming!

Chen Feng shook his head, bemused by the security guards' reactions in front of him.

Why does telling the truth seem so unbelievable these days?

"Alright, kid, you've given me a good laugh, so I'll let you off the hook today. Beat it, get off Mount Yuquan. You've got no business being here," Wang Dahai said with a chuckle, dismissing Chen Feng with a wave of his hand as if he were shooing a fly.

By his usual temperament, Wang Dahai would have given Chen Feng a thrashing to teach him a lesson in humility. But since Chen Feng had brought them some amusement, he decided to show a rare act of mercy and spare him.

Meanwhile, in a villa's opulent living room, Chen Zhong paced nervously by the window, a burly man standing behind him.

The man had dark skin and exuded a rough, outlaw vibe that made it hard to associate him with Cangzhou City's wealthiest man.

Indeed, he was Shen Hongchang, the richest man in Cangzhou.

"Mr. Chen, when is Young Master Chen expected to arrive?" Shen Hongchang asked, his voice betraying a hint of anxiety. He had been restless since learning that the Chen Family heir was due in Cangzhou, costing him a night's sleep.

He was uncertain about the temperament of this scion of the Chen Family and whether he would be approachable.

Despite being known as the richest man in Cangzhou, Shen Hongchang was well aware that his status was confined to this local sphere. In the grander scheme of the capital's elite, his so-called wealth meant nothing.

"The young master, he..." Chen Zhong began, equally uneasy. The phone call had ended over an hour ago, and by all accounts, Chen Feng should have already been here, yet there was still no sign of him.

Chen Zhong considered calling to check on Chen Feng's whereabouts but hesitated, not wanting to risk irritating him.

Just then, it was his phone that rang.

"Young Master!"

"I'm at the gate," Chen Feng said curtly before hanging up.

Chen Zhong's face shifted in color. At the door? Why didn't he come in?

"Listen up, kid, I told you to beat it. Are you freaking deaf?!" Wang Dahai was instantly irked when he saw Chen Feng not only ignoring his command but also brazenly making a phone call right in front of him.

Chen Feng offered a wry smile and responded, "You're telling me to beat it?"

"Oh, what? You need me to show you the door?" Wang Dahai's sneers were punctuated by the cracking of his knuckles. Mid-sentence, he landed a kick on Chen Feng's electric bike.

The bike shattered into pieces. That bike had been Chen Feng's companion for three years.

A frown creased Chen Feng's brow, and a chill swept across his face. He had ridden that electric bike through all kinds of weather, delivering food for three years. He had grown attached to it. And now, it lay in ruins, thanks to a security guard's boot.

Chen Feng's mood soured on the spot.

Wang Dahai, unconcerned, signaled to several security guards to encircle Chen Feng.

"Since you're not taking the hint to leave, I'll make it easy for you. Come here, stick out your face, and after I slap you twice, I'll let you leave," Wang Dahai boasted, convinced that Chen Feng was at his mercy.

"You're sure you want to slap me twice?" Chen Feng asked with a smile, stepping closer to Wang Dahai.

"What, you think you can do something about it if I slap you?" Wang Dahai laughed heartily, convinced the young man before him was a fool.

He might have been just a security captain, but he was backed by the Shen Family. The mere mention of the Shen name was enough to crush someone like Chen Feng.

In this domain, even high-ranking officials had to tread lightly. Without the Shen Family's say-so, if he declared no entry, it meant no entry, and no one dared to challenge that!

As he spoke, Wang Dahai swung his hand toward Chen Feng's face.

But the slap never connected. His wrist was caught in a vice-like grip, and in a swift turn of events, it was Wang Dahai's own cheek that received a stinging slap.

Suddenly, a face as dark as a storm cloud materialized before him.

"Boss Shen?" Wang Dahai's mind reeled, his tongue nearly tying itself in knots. The man who had unexpectedly shown up was none other than the illustrious Richest Man in Cangzhou, Shen Hongchang!

"Boss Shen, what brings you here?" Wang Dahai stammered, acutely aware of the formidable reputation of Cangzhou's wealthiest.

"Are you planning to take a swing at me as well?"

Shen Hongchang's voice was heavy with foreboding. He had been pondering ways to ingratiate himself with Chen Feng, yet in a mere moment, his own bodyguard had not only stopped Chen Feng at the door but had also nearly come to blows with him.

In that instant, Shen Hongchang harbored a murderous desire towards Wang Dahai..
