C6 Alenta's Existence is Threatened

Alenta opened her eyes with difficulty, she then got up when she remembered her mother again.

"Don't move yet, Alenta! You are still recovering and need a lot of rest," Selly shouted when she saw Alenta about to withdraw her IV drip again. Selly approached Alenta's body and held her back to the bed.

"I, I have to see my mother," Alenta answered stubbornly.

Selly sighed and touched Alenta's shoulder, "Alden is looking for her, don't worry. He will come right here and tell everything,"

"My mother, she...." Alenta could not continue her words, she could only cry without being able to do anything because she was still weak.

Selly pulled Alenta's body into her arms. He patted Alenta's shoulder softly, letting her sob there.

"Everything will be fine, Alenta. Everything will be fine, don't worry. Me and Alden will help you,"

Alenta nodded, she really hoped that Selly's words had a point. She hope her mother is all right.

Alden rushed to the National Health Hospital. He approached the registration counter to ask about Mrs. Alenta.

"Ms. Helenna Andriani? But she died three days ago. She was in shock when she heard of her daughter's death, her heart was already in trouble," said the employee guarding the counter.

Alden raised his eyebrows, "Died? But isn't she going to be operated on?" Asked Alden surprised,

"Yes, but because her family had died and there was no one to pay for the operation, the operation was cancelled," the employee explained again.

Alden was shocked to hear the employee's narrative. He clenched his fists, feeling angry with the laws that apply in this country. How could a hospital of this size abandon dying people just because of the cost?

Alden took a deep breath then exhaled roughly, "Where is the mother buried?" Alden asked putting aside all the anger he felt.

The employee looked at Alden with a suspicious look, "Who are you? Why do you keep asking about the deceased?"

Alden bit his lip hearing the employee's question. He thought hard and then said, "I am a distant relative of Mrs. Helenna. I just learned the news that her daughter, Alenta, has also died,"

The employee looked still doubtful about Alden's statement. However, she still saw several patient files related to the hospital.

"He was buried in a nearby public cemetery,"

Alden nodded his head and thanked the clerk. He rushed out of the hospital quickly.

The employee was still staring at Alden's departure with suspicion. She took his cell phone out of his pocket and put it to his ear,

"Hello Mrs. Lauren, recently someone asked about the late Mrs. Helenna. He said that he was a distant relative,"

"Okay, thanks for the information, Siska,"

Alden doesn't know that the National Health Hospital is a hospital headed by Lauren, the person who forcibly aborted Alenta's womb.

Alden immediately ran to Alenta's room. He stood nervously in the doorway for several minutes. His forehead creased deeply, trying to prepare the right words so Alenta wouldn't be too shocked. Alden chuckled at not finding it. He gave up and knocked on the door slowly.

"Come in Alden!" Shouted Selly from the room.

Alden then walked into the room.

Alenta immediately got up when she saw Alden there.

"How? Have you heard about my mother?" asked Alena impatiently.

Alden took a deep breath and looked at Alenta with a confused look. What should he say about the death of Mother Helenna?

"Alden, tell me!" Alenta demanded loudly because Alden was just frozen in place.

"Alenta, I'm sorry but your mother is dead," Alden said softly.

Alenta's heart sank hearing Alden's words. Tears filled her eyes again. Her body felt like floating when he heard Alden's words.

"Died? My mother died?" muttered Alenta with trembling lips, she gripped the side of the bed until her fingernails turned white. Her whole life is now destroyed, there is nothing left in his life. The only family she had her life taken away.

"Yes, she was shocked to hear the news of your death," Alden explained with a regretful look.

Alenta's body felt weak hearing Alden's words. For several minutes, the sound of Alenta's cries filled the room. Selly tried to calm her down.

"Alenta, you have to be strong. Your mother and child won't like it if you keep sinking. You have to move on with your life," Alden suggested.

"Alden is right, Alenta," said Selly.

Alenta wiped her tears harshly. Alden was right, his crying wouldn't change anything. Her mother is not coming back.

"Where is she buried, Alden?" asked Alenta.

"In the public cemetery nearest to the hospital,"

"Take me there, Alden. I have to meet her, I have to apologize to my mother's tomb," Alenta said nervously,

Alden looked at Selly asking for approval about Alenta's condition. Selly understood the meaning of Alden's gaze then said in a confident tone, "She's fine, you can take her for a while,"

Alden nodded his head, he helped Alenta to get up from the bed.

"I have to stand guard here, you guys go," Selly ordered. Alden and Alenta followed Selly's words and left the room.

Alden and Alenta arrived at the parking lot quickly. Alden glanced at the hospital patient clothes Alenta was wearing. The girl looks conspicuous.

"We have to change your clothes first," Alden said.

He glanced at the back seat and found a hat there. "Wear this, you have to hide your identity," Alden continued.

Alenta took the hat and quickly put it on. After that, the car left the hospital area at high speed.

Selly had left Alenta's room and was surprised by the arrival of several large men there. The men forced their way into the room next door. They rummaged through the entire room there as if they were looking for something.

Selly backed away and then returned to Alenta's room in a panic. She hid all the hospital equipment so that some of the men would not know where Alenta was.

Selly was nervous when she heard their approaching footsteps. Feeling pressured, she immediately hid behind the door. Her heart pounded as the door was kicked open by one of the men. Selly bit her lips when she heard the man's steps into the room where she was. Selly covered her mouth to keep from making a sound. Seeing the man's stocky body made him shudder in horror. If she was caught, then her petite body would definitely be crushed so easily by that big man.

"This is just an empty room sir, there's no one here," one of her colleagues suddenly came to tell the man.

The man immediately closed the door again when he heard the words of the hospital staff there.

Selly breathed a sigh of relief seeing the man fail to check the room and choose to leave there. They almost got caught. She came out from behind the door and peeked their way out of the window. After feeling safe, Selly sneaked out of the room and then asked one of her colleagues who was there.

"Who are they?"

"I don't know, they're looking for a young man who came here,"

Selly was surprised to hear her colleague's narrative. She immediately took out her cell phone from her jacket pocket and texted Alden about this.

Alenta stared at her mother's tomb with a very broken heart.

"I'm sorry Mom, I can't take good care of Mama," said Alenta nervously. She sat beside the tomb and hugged it tightly. She regretted not accompanying her mother when she was dying. Her mother must be scared and very lonely.

Alden looked at Alenta who was devastated with a look of pity. Alden stood a little away to give Alenta space. His phone then vibrated in his trouser pocket. Alden took the phone and looked at the screen. His eyes widened when he read the message sent by Selly.

"There are a lot of big men looking for something here Alden, you have to be careful,"
