C11 A Strange Attachment With Him

DEAN POV

We reached in the middle of the forest, it was already dark. We set up our tent and cooked the fish that we had brought along with us.

"Do you think we will be able to find her?"Ryan asked me.

"Yeah I am 100% sure", that we will be able to find her here", I replied.

"I am not going to return till I find my answers,Ryan I want to know why Rieka used me, I loved her, I cared for her", I said.

"Do you still love her Dean, after knowing who she is?", Ryan asked me.

"Yes I still love her Ryan, even if she is a shapeshifter it doesn't matter to me", I replied.

"I love the way she is, I would not like her to change, the only problem is that why didn't she tell me everything about herself, was she scared of me?, I would protect, I would help her Ryan", I added.

"I know you her love unconditionally,your love will never fade for her, you are very courageous Dean, you know it is dangerous staying here in the forest, but you are still staying here for her, I am proud of you my friend",Ryan replied.

"You risked your life for me Ryan, only few people have precious friends like you, and guess what I am the lucky one to have you as my friend", I said.

"I am the lucky one to have a friend like you, that is what friends are for, always stay together whenever we need each other",Ryan replied.

"My grandma used to tell stories of the shapeshifters, I never knew that they existed, I thought it was just a fairy tail", I said to Ryan.

"I knew that they existed, my great grand father had once witnessed a shapeshifter, they are not dangerous unless you harm them", Ryan replied.

"You are afraid of Wolf Dean, how will you face Rieka when you are afraid of them?"Ryan asked me.

"I am afraid of Wolves, but I am not afraid of Rieka. Ryan I love her, why will I be afraid of her", I replied.

"We need to spend the night in this forest, we will take chances of sleeping, one needs to be awake and stay alert to keep a watch through the night", Ryan said.

"You can sleep Ryan, I will stay awake, anyways I am not feeling sleepy, you can rest in the tent", I replied.

"Are you sure Dean?, Ryan asked.

"Yes I am sure Ryan, you can sleep, I will keep a watch", I replied.

Ryan entered the tent and slept, I kept a watch, to make sure there were no wild animals trying to harm us.

I kept my weapons ready, and sat near the tent, near the fire to keep myself warm.

There were different thoughts in my mind, I had a sleepless night.

The next morning when we woke up, we went fishing near the lake, we caught many fishes, we fried them and had them for lunch.

"Hope so we find Rieka today", Ryan said.

"Hope so Ryan, if we are unable to find her in two days. You can return to the village, I cannot put your life in danger", I said.

"I am not returning without you Dean, I promised myself that I would be with you until we find Rieka",Ryan replied.

"It's too dangerous to stay here for too long, one day has already passed away, Don't forget this is the forest, Rieka's home, she knows this place very well, she must have been hiding somewhere which is not in our reach, please understand Dean, don't you know what happens in the woods here, once someone steps into the woods in the dark, they are not lucky enough to survive, I can't let anything happen to you Dean please understand",I said.

"I have already made up my mind Dean, I am not going anywhere leaving you alone here, don't argue with me, you know I won't listen to you", he replied.

"You are very stubborn Ryan, you will never listen to me", I replied.

"Yes I won't, I can't let anything happen to you here, staying alone here is way too dangerous, you will need my help, so i am here to protect you dean", he added.

"Okay fine, help me find some sweet apples for max", I said.

We were now in search of apples and mushrooms which we would cook for dinner.

"We need to collect as much food as we can before it gets dark, and also a place where we can put up our tent", I said.

"Yes, we need to be quick, we need to also find Rieka", Ryan replied.

We found some few sweet apples and gave it to Max so that he could gain some strength for the rest of the ride.

Today's day went just like the previous day, we couldn't find Rieka anywhere.

I put up our tent, and also lit the fire in the woods. We cooked the mushrooms and fishes which we had collected, and had them.

"It's too boring having the same food every time", Ryan said.

"I know it too boring having the same thing, tomorrow we will wake up early and try to find something new to have, may be hunt an animal, I have brought my bow and arrow along with me, if we are lucky enough we can hunt a deer,we can have that for dinner tomorrow, let's pray that tomorrow's day bring luck to us", I said.

"Yes now what we can do is pray that we get lucky tomorrow, find Rieka and then return back to the village, but what are we going to answer the villagers when we return back?", Ryan asked.

"I have still not thought about that, as soon as we find Rieka we need to figure about that", I replied.

"Yes we will Dean, today i will stay alert and awake, go sleep Dean", Ryan said.

"No Ryan you should sleep, I will stay awake and keep a watch", I replied.

"You will fall sick if you don't have enough sleep, listen to me get some sleep",Ryan added.

"Are you sure you want to keep a watch?", I asked him.

"Yes I am 100% sure", he replied.

"Okay fine then I will get some sleep, good night Ryan", I said.

"Good night Dean", Ryan replied.

Rieka POV

I couldn't stop thinking about Dean, I know that by now he must have known everything about me and my identity, that I am a wolf, a shapeshifter and not a human.

He must be so mad at me, I know he will hate me for hiding my identity to him, but it was not my fault, I had lost my memory, I had not known about my identity,I would have told him everything about me, that I belong to the royal family, I am a princess.

I wish I could get back to the village and apologize to Dean, I wanted his forgiveness but I couldn't leave my house for some time. My aunt had kept a strict watch over me, so that I would not escape again.

I was sitting near my window watching the stars above me, the stars give me peace.

I miss my parents so much, if my mother and father would be alive, they would make me laugh, take care of me, I would be sitting along with them, telling them how my day went, sharing things with them.

I am so lonely, Dean used to make my day, I felt a strange attachment with him, it seemed that I already knew him.

No one knows that I was in the village,and I spent a few days in the village with humans. If they get to know that I was with the humans, they would all get furious and we would have to move to another forest.

This is my home,I have many memories here, my parents' memories, and childhood memories.

"Missing someone?", My sister asked.

"Yes I am missing my parents and someone special", I replied.

"Thank you for not telling anyone that I have spent a few days with the humans", I said.

"I would never do that sister, I know what the consequences would be if they get to know about that, they would keep you as a prisoner or even worst, they would make you married to someone who belongs to another royal family, things would be complicated for you sister, life would be a living hell for you and I would never let that happen", my sister added.

"Thank you so much sister for caring for me so much", I said.

"I love you Rieka, and I will always care for you", my sister replied.

"Everyone here thought that I was dead, but you believed that I was alive", I said.

"I felt It in my heart sister, that you are alive so I followed your scent", my sister replied.

"You are too weak Rieka, you cannot fight the king by yourself, you need to train to do so, I am afraid that they would not send you to the school of shapeshifters, so that you can get the training", my sister replied.

"If my parents would be alive they would send me Helena, they always took me as their precious daughter, they never compared me with the boys here, they treated me just like their son, I want to take revenge from the emperor for what he has done to my parents, I cannot let him go just like that, I am thinking of escaping from here sister", I said.

"It is not that easy to escape my sister, I can at least try", I replied.

"It's useless trying, if they find you again you know what the consequences would be, and this time I will not be able to save you again this time sister", Helena replied.

"Then what should I do? I just can't sit here doing nothing", I replied.

"Just wait for sometime Rieka, I promise you I will help you escape from this place, just give me sometime, I need to think of something",Helena replied.

"Thank you so much sister", I replied.

"Don't thank me it is my duty to care for you, by the way who is that special person whom you just mentioned?", She asked me.

"He is the guy who saved me, he rescued me, dressed my wounds and also offered me a place to stay, I liked him, he is caring and sweet, he looked good too, but I never told him about my identity, he must be hating me so much, I feel so bad sister", I replied.

"It is not your fault Rieka, you didn't remember anything, otherwise you would tell him everything about yourself right?"She asked.

"Yes I would sister, I would never hide my identity from him sister", I replied.

"What's his name RIEKA?She asked.

"His name is Dean", I replied.

"Oh okay Dean, he has a nice name, is he attractive?"She asked.

"Yes, he is attractive and charming. Any girl would desire to have him, he had a good body structure and also a good personality", I replied.

"Are you In love with him sister?"She asked.

"Yes maybe I am in love with him, I feel a strange connection with him, it seems like I know him, I know everything about him, and I have also been with him before, but I don't remember where", I replied.

"You will soon remember everything Rieka", she replied.

"Is it okay to love a human?", I asked my sister.

"Yes it is absolutely okay to love a human, it's your heart, no one has the right to judge you", she replied.

"There is a tiny problem!", I replied.

What's the problem?",she asked.

"He is scared of Wolves, so he must be scared of me too as I am a wolf", I replied.

"If he loves you he will not be scared of you and he will accept you for who you are, so don't worry sister, you will get to know everything, when the correct time comes, if he is worth it for you or if he is not '', she replied.

"You made me feel better sister, thank you, I don't feel lonely when you are with me", I replied.

"You can share anything with me sister, I will always be by your side", she replied.

"I love you so much sister",I said.

"Love you too sister", she replied.
