Emily( the oldest shapeshifter) POV

I was tense about Rieka. She had not returned home for days, she had escaped in order to take revenge from the king, she was not aware of the king's power.

He is very powerful, her parents themselves couldn't stop the king, they lost their lives as the king killed them and took their charms away.

Their souls are trapped in that charm, I tried to fight the king but the emperor is a Sorcerer he can defeat anyone.

My powers couldn't stand In front of his powers even for a minute.

Before Rieka's parents died they took a promise from me that I would keep their daughter safe and protected.

It was not my duty to keep their daughter safe and protected.

When Rieka returned home, I was the happiest shapeshifter on earth, finally she had returned home safe.

She told me that she wanted to take over her father's position. I could let her take it but the other shapeshifters would not accept her as their queen.

Our wolf pack (shapeshifter community) is unlike the other ones, the women don't rule over the place.

Only the males can rule, the male shapeshifter would never accept her as their queen.

I tried to make her understand but she couldn't understand, I cannot blame her because she is still too young to know more about this.

The king has brought her up just like their precious jewel, she was their little angel.

The king always wished that his daughter would take over his place as the queen, he never knew what the thoughts of the other shapeshifters were.

I told Rieka to return to her room as it was too late and she needed some rest. I had to be strict with her even if she didn't like it.

I had to keep a close watch on her, so that she would not escape again, it would be dangerous for all of us and especially for her.

The king wants all of the charms, he is in search of us.

We cannot move to another place, because the king's soldiers are in search of us.

I called one of the caretakers of rieka.

"Did she have her dinner?", I asked the caretaker.

"Yes she had her dinner, she is sitting near her window watching the stars above, she seems sad and lonely", the maid replied.

"Keep a close watch on her, see to it she doesn't escape again, and give me all the information of every move she takes", I told the maid.

"Yes sure", she replied.

"Even if she wants some fresh air outside you will go along with, don't leave her alone even for a minute, did I make myself clear", I said.

"Yes mam, I will keep a close watch on her", saying that the maid left.

Ryan POV

"It was morning, Ryan woke me up and handed over a bowl of soup for me.

I made it with fresh tomatoes and vegetables, which we collected yesterday.I also added some fresh mushrooms in it, hope so like it", he said.

I tasted the soup, there is doubt that Rayn is a good cook.

"The soup is delicious ryan, your future wife would be very lucky to have a chef husband", I said.

"It's not that good, I just gave it a try, I am nothing compared to you Dean",he replied.

"We need to prepare for the hunt, get the arrows ready Ryan", I added.

We searched for prey but we found none

"I think we need to have the same thing for dinner, dean", Ryan said.

"Yes, so let's collect mushrooms, fruits and let's go fishing. There is a lake there", I replied.

We caught a few fishes, which we would have for dinner, collected mushrooms which were not poisonous, and also we collected a few fruits for max.

We fetched fresh lake water, which would be useful through the night for the 3 of us.

Today day went by, we couldn't find rieka.

"Today was the second day, we couldn't find your beloved Rieka dean", Ryan said.

"Yes I know, let's find a place where we would spend our night, before it gets dark", I said to Ryan.

"Dean take care, we were lucky yesterday that no wild animal showed up, if you find something fishy wake me up, we both will face this together",Ryan said to me.

"I will handle it Ryan, you should sleep now, get into the tent, good night ryan", I said.

We settled our tent. I tied Max near a tree which was near the tent, gave a few fruits for Max to have and also poured some water in his container.

We cooked our meal and had it together.

"Today you can sleep in the tent, I will keep a watch", I said to Ryan.

"A very good night Dean", Ryan said.

I sat near the tent and watched the sara above me twinkling.

"Where are you Rieka?", I murmured in my mind.

Rieka POV

I was locked in my room, prisoned by my aunt. She didn't let me out of my room even for a minute. I felt suffocated inside that room. I felt like escaping but I couldn't, because I knew what the consequences would be. My aunt didn't love me, nor did she like me, she was always jealous of my mom. My mom married the king and she had to marry a normal man. My aunt wanted to live a royal life, but she was forced to marry an ordinary shapeshifter.

When the king's proposal came to my family, my aunt was already married,so my mom got the opportunity to meet the king, my dad liked my mom the very first time he saw her, and wished to marry her.

My aunt never visited my mom or me, she hated us.

After my parents death, the eldest wolf decided that I would stay with my aunt as she was my only relative here.

She used to enter my room only to serve food for me, she never asked me how I was doing, or never asked if I was feeling lonely.

It is true that kids who lose their parents are then treated badly by their relatives; only a few of them turn out to be lucky, if they have good relatives.

My aunt entered my room and placed the food on the table.

"Your food is here you can have it", she said.

"Can I move out of the room just for sometime?I need some fresh air. I am feeling suffocated here, in this room", I asked her.

"You can't move out of this room without

my permission, you are a disgrace to our family, after you escaping from here, do you know how much we had to hear from people who are staying around us.

No one will be ready to marry you, I am thinking of searching for a perfect suitor for you, so that you can marry and leave this place forever. A suitor who belongs to another place, no one will know you there, that is the best thing I can do for you",she replied.

"I don't wanna marry auntie, I am not ready for that, please don't do this to me!!", I replied with tears in my eyes.

"You have to marry, you just can't stay unmarried", she replied.

"I am too young for marriage, please understand, I am not ready", I said..

"When I was younger than you my parents made me married, I was not ready, but as time passes you will learn how to take care of your household and your husband, you will learn everything, you will have small kids who will keep you busy too, your life would be perfect",my aunt replied.

"I won't marry anyone, and you can't force me to", I said with a stern voice.

"We will see my dear Rieka", she replied.

saying that she left the room, I sat near my window weeping, I miss my parents so much, they would never force me to marry anyone, without my permission.

The only person who cares for me here is Helena, without her what would I do.

Helena is the only hope for me, she is the only one who supports me here.

Without her I will not be able to escape this living hell.

Today Helena didn't come to visit me, as my aunt didn't allow her to enter my room,

I can't understand why my aunt is treating me so badly. What is my fault ?

If her parents made her marry an ordinary man, it is not my mother's fault but it was my grandparents fault, why is she blaming my parents and me for this.

Rieka's Aunt POV

I hated my sister from the bottom of my heart, my parents made me married because of her, she couldn't marry as I was not married, I was the eldest it was my duty to marry first, there were no suitors Willing to marry me, my parents were worried about me, when they found a suitor who was willing to marry me, they made me married with him, they didn't know anything about that man, my life was a living hell after marriage, he was not too rich, he couldn't afford basic things which were needed in the house, my sister married the king, she lived a happy life without struggling, she was so lucky, because of her my parents put me in this situation, I never visited her, or attended her wedding.

She was dead for me, I hated her and her daughter.

Suddenly one day the older wolf came to my place to visit me.

She told me that I had to take care of Rieka, as her parents are dead, she has no relatives here.

"As you know that Rieka's parents are dead now, she needs someone's guidance as she is still 17, when she turns 19 she can take her responsibilities of being a princess by ruling over", the older wolf said.

"But she is a woman, she can't rule, only sons are permitted to be the king and rule over, the shapeshifters won't accept her as their queen", I said.

"I trust Rieka, I do believe that they will accept Rieka as their queen, Rieka is not a girl to lose hope, I do believe that one day she will defeat the Sorcerer",the older wolve replied.

I wanted to say no, but that is when I got an idea, I can take my revenge from my sister, I can take advantage of this situation, I will choose a family for Rieka to marry, and make her feel the exact same way I felt.

I agreed to take the responsibility of Rieka.

"Okay I am ready to take the responsibility of Rieka, but I would not like anyone suggesting on how should I take care of her, I will take every decisions in her life",

I said to the elder wolf.

"You are her aunt, you will think what is best for her", the elderly wolf said to me.

"I will take a leave now", she said.

Rieka was Missing for a week and she didn't return back to her place.

1 day ago she returned back with scars on her body, she will be staying with me.

I showed her the room in which she will be staying and locked her room from outside so that she couldn't escape.

I started to search for a suitable suitor for her whom she would marry.

Rieka was beautiful, any man would die to marry a girl like her, so finding a suitor would be so easy.

The only problem was her cousin sister Helena.

Helena is the daughter of the king's brother, her mother passed away during her birth, and soon after a few months her father passed away.

My sister cared for her, and treated her like their very own daughter.

Helena and Rieka are not only sisters they are best friends as they grew up together in the same House.

She keeps a watch on Rieka, and meets her daily.

I need to keep Rieka away from her sister so that she doesn't interfere in my matters and in my plan.
