Chu Jiuge didn’t have to think about it to know the porridge she’d left on the table had been eaten by someone in the courtyard.

She let out a short laugh and didn’t make a fuss. Instead, she lit the stove herself, cooked a cup of rice, then went outside to pick some wild greens and stir-fried them.

It didn’t taste all that great, but it was still better than eating mush. Chu Jiuge ate alone
