C36 Why Did the Prince Read the Storybook?
Gu Jun’an went straight to the Imperial Academy. The one in charge of the academy was the extremely unreliable and useless Gu Xinghe.
Gu Xinghe had a book on his face. He was lying on the rocking chair under the tree, enjoying himself.
Gu Jun’an lifted the book off his face. The bright sunlight pierced into Gu Xinghe’s eyes. Even with his eyes closed, Gu Xinghe felt uncomfortable. He reached out to cover his eyes and said angrily, “Which one of you is blind… So it’s Seventh Brother. Hehe, Seventh Brother, why did you have the time to come to the Imperial Academy?”
“Come and find a few books!” Gu Jun’an threw the book on the rocking chair. Gu Xinghe didn’t mind. He smiled and said, “What books do you want? I’ll help you. I know all the books in the Imperial Academy.”
However, when he was looking for the books, Gu Xinghe’s face was slapped.
“Old Seventh, why are you looking for so many books? Aren’t those books for the delicate and weak women?”
Gu Jun’an glared at him and said impatiently, “Can you find them? Didn’t you say that the Imperial Academy is more familiar with it than your home?”
Gu Xinghe smiled awkwardly and tried to hold back his embarrassment. “Of course I can. Isn’t it over there?”
He pointed at the bookshelf on the right.
Gu Jun’an glanced at it. “That’s where the history records are.”
“Oh, then, then the left? Or the east?” Actually, he didn’t know where the books were placed.
The assistant editor couldn’t stand it anymore. He pointed at the bookshelves behind them and said, “Your Highness, the Seventh Prince, and the other books are all on the second row. There are more than two thousand books for you to choose from.”
Gu Xinghe scratched his ears awkwardly and said, “Oh, I remember now. I remember everything clearly.”
“Hmph!” Gu Jun’an snorted coldly with disdain.
Gu Xinghe looked at the books on the bookshelves and said, “Old Seventh, when did you start reading these?”
Gu Jun’an ignored him and picked up a pile of books and left.
The assistant editor immediately chased after Gu Xinghe and said, “Your Highness, you took the books away without saying anything. You have to keep them. Otherwise, if you lose these books, I won’t be able to explain it.”
Gu Xinghe waved his hand and said impatiently, “Go, go, go. I didn’t take them away. Why are you still holding on to them?”
The assistant editor said with a bitter face, “I don’t dare to stop you, Your Highness. You are the most difficult to talk to. Your Highness is the Seventh Prince’s brother, so you have to help him. Besides, the Imperial Academy is the one who brought the Seventh Prince here.”
“Fuck your brother! Who do you think he is? Why should I clean up his mess?” Gu Xinghe cursed. He didn’t even tell him the reason why he was looking for books. Did he have such a brother?
He was cursing, but he was still going to register the books.
“You guys, you can’t always pick the weak. I… Bah, I am not a weakling!” Gu Xinghe threw the pen on the table and went to sleep.
The assistant editor was helpless. His king’s brothers were so weird. It was just like the saying, ‘Every dragon has nine sons.’
When San Qi came back, he saw Gu Jun’an reading books in the study. He thought that he had something important to do, so he didn’t disturb him. He just walked out after he served the tea. It was the same for two or three days. He was confused.
Why didn’t he feel anything?
If the king was busy, he would be dead. But now, he could sleep on the tree or stand under the sun.
San Qi saw a book lying on the table while he was serving the tea. He was shocked.
“What are you reading, Your Highness?”
“There is nothing that can’t be eaten.” “Ancient Godly Beasts.” “Legend of the Wild.”
