Jordan’s Point of View

As I watched in amazement at the disappearance of the spirit wolves into me, was this a special kind of ordination or what? I guess no.

But wait, what did they mean by saying, never misuse your powers? Were they really gonna stop me from calling down fire and brimstone on those fucking blood tasty rogues in custody of my best friend? Hell no, ‘cos I'll need to deal with them at the slightest provocation for messing with the wrong dude.

I had left the scene of the induction and was already on my way to the clan. Though I never knew what to expect, would I be scolded or not? I wondered.

I had still decided to shift back to my wolf form or better still use one my wolf's ability which was disappearance. But a little pondering made me desist badly.

“Hey there, what's up with you?”

I heard a young he-wolf call out. I could say he was on a trip because he had a walking partner. I wouldn't know if that was his girl or sister, but both looked cool.

I watched in amazement, his boldness and friendliness at the same time, reaching out to a stranger you've never met before, that required a lot of courage.

Thus I responded, “I'm good, and hope you are too” which he nodded in affirmation. He reached out his hand for a handshake.

“I'm John, and here's Jane my younger sister, we were actually on a field trip when we bumped on you”

“Well, nice to meet you duo. I'm Jordan and I doubt how safe it is out here, especially for your pretty Sis."

John chuckled, forcing out a smile before teasing, “hope I can take that for a compliment?" as he held onto his sister.

"I don't know about that, but all I can say is, there are rogues parading everywhere and it's not safe to be here”

“My candid advice though. You can decide to take it or not. But if I were you, I'd return home right now to avoid regrets.”

He laughed, as in saying, it's obvious this dude doesn't know what I'm made of, or capable of doing.

Jane, who only starred, snapped immediately and uttered.

“Don't worry dude, we'll be fine. We're only on site seeing, as soon as we're done, we will head back home, hope that will be all for now.”

"Suit yourself guys,” I mumbled. "But remember, stay safe."

They clasped, holding each other's hand while continuing their steps. Mehn, it was so annoying as they never knew my ordeal with these rogues even with all the strength I had clustered.

Anyways, I didn't have to misuse my powers, if not I would send some leashes to teach them some lessons. Letting a loved one out of one's sight isn't a funny event. I had this feeling of depression and felt like ending it all when Zane was abducted and believe me, it's a feeling I won't want anyone to pass through cos gosh, it's damn devastating.

Well, they've chosen their path, what could I possibly do, let them go and have my peace of mind.

Now, it was time to head home. And that's the focus as it is now. I may not know what I'm gonna expect back there as our clan was one of the few clans with a high level of discipline. And an attempt to run away from the Pack is a breach of trust and it's punishable, especially with my inability to return with Zane.

I knew I'll be answerable to the clan especially with the fact that we left together and it's our identity to watch out for each other no matter how strong they are perceived to be.

Another aspect of our clan's discipline was focused on sexual purity. Yea, it helps us muster our strength, growing stronger, as each aspect of forbidden intercourse e.g. sex outside marriage, adultery, etc could reduce the effectiveness of our powers, and if at that period, we're poised with any attack, we may likely be defeated.

So, good enough, for the while I'd been away, I wasn't sexually immoral but my area of failure was only my Inability to watch out for my best friend. With this, I may be shown a bit of mercy, totally pardoned or restrained, and if adherent to instructions and authorities, I may be restored later on.

A lot was going through my mind already, right from our leaving the clan, which was unexpected, our supposed adventure through the woods, exposing us to the Lycan and the clash which poised a threat to Zane's life.

Of particular interest was the girl at the woods whom was identified as Sapphire. I don't know why she kept messing up my mind, was I really attracted to her? Hail no, as she was far too insolent for my liking. I was kind of mused at the time our eyes met. They look so magical and pierced directly into my soul. But what would I call that? Nothing. Sure, just nothing to get stressed for, I snapped.

But I kind of miss her and would wish to meet her again, maybe someday, sometimes, etc.

Ok, now I'll need to be sure that I'm all alone this time around as I needed to shift in order to calm some nerves and also aid get a faster pace back home.

Alright, now, I'd shifted and ready to reunite with my clan. Wish me luck as I'm already out of ideas to to what to expect back there.

I had reached the nearest path of my clan and shifted back to my human form. I passed through the border, quietly trying hard to conceal my identity, thus avoiding guesses in order not to attract any scene. I was surprised to meet the whole paths as quiet as it was. What could have happened? Though I had no answers to these questions.

But my instincts were wrong as the moment I crossed the bordering paths, into the clan's meeting ground, the whole clan was already gathered.

Though I was amazed as at what could be the purpose of the assembly, their next action almost snapped me away from consciousness and immediately, I heard a towering “surpriseeeee.”
