Grace examined Tom with tear stricken eyes and spat, “How could you pretend to love me for four years? I loved you, Tom. How could you be so heartless?”

“I had to pretend because if I rejected you, you would have given up on your childish dream. You know how sensitive you are. “ Tom muttered, tearing his gaze away from her face.
