C7 Chapter 7

Lun widened her eyes seeing that she was already in the palace and on the King's shoulder.

What the hell is going on?

'M..My…" She cleared her throat and dangled her legs. 'My King, can you please drop me down?" She said.

Why would he carry her over his shoulder like she weigh nothing? This affection the King has for her isn't ordinary at all.

'Are you shocked we got back home so quickly?" The King asked as he dropped her down at the corridor. In front of the King's room.

More than shocked. She nodded.

'The next minute, I was talking and another minute, I'm already here. I'm confused."

'You don't have to be. Seeing what happened in the woods, there's likely to be a war tonight." Wulfgur said to her with a frown. 'I know you're kind of stubborn and wouldn't want to stay back. So, just prepare in case anything happen."

'I really can't stand back, My King. It my job to protect you and fight anyone who tries to harm you." Lun bowed and stepped back.

She couldn't look at the King's eyes that moment. King Wulfgur smiled and nodded.

'I will go back to my room. Call the Minister Philip for me."

'I won't go against your order, My Lord." Lun answered, still in her bowing position.

She waited till the King entered his room before she rose her head up.

'Phew!" She breathed out. 'I need to stay away from the King. His affection towards me mustn't distract me at all." Lun spoke to herself as she walked away from the corridor in search of Minister Philip.

Damn! She's new in this kingdom. How will she know who Minister Philip is and where he is living?

She got to the palace gate and asked one of the guards there some question about the ministers. She was given directions and set to go out.

Lun suddenly stopped and walked backwards to the gate again.

'Do you have any sword?" She asked with a smile.

The guards looked at her, most with a frown. Why would she ask for a sword?

'Why a sword?" The guard asked her.

'I might need it. And you too should be prepared. There might be war tonight."

'And what made you say that? You're nothing to say that out. Do you wish for another war to happen? Are you a spy?" One of the guards asked.

Lun scoffed. 'Spy indeed. That's what the King said!" She almost yelled. Totally annoyed.

'Oh, I'm sorry."

'You're welcome, now do you have a sword? I'm very good when it comes to using sword. I've learned martial arts in China. I'm not only good at using guns." She said proudly at the guards.

'Alright. We will go get it."

'You need to be fast. Once the King see that I'm still here, my head will surely be cut off." Lun replied to the guard who was already on his way to get the weapon.

Few minutes later, he was back with a clean looking sword.

'It's new. You can have it." The guard said.

'Thank you. You've been a good guard not like the others." She rolled her eyes at the other guards.

Lun collected the sword and made her way to Minister Philips house.

Luckily, as she was told, the house isn't far from the palace and it was easy to get.

She walked to the entrance knocked the door.

'Who is that?" She heard a voice from inside.

'It me, Lun. From the King. I'm the King's personal..uhm..bodyguard, solider. Whatever. The King said you should come with me.to the palace." Lun delivered.

'The…The King's bodyguard? Since when did the King have interest in bodyguards?" The voice answered her and the door opened.

Minister Philip stared at her and frowned.

'Aren't you the boy who got wounded I'm the morning? You're the King's bodyguard?" The man asked and Lun nodded.

'Yes. Anything wrong?"

'Aren't you too small and young to protect the King? Why was the king in need of a bodyguard in the first place?"

'You can ask the king. He has an answer to that. You and I don't want to delay the king. We should be on our way now." Lun responded.

'Yes! Yes! His anger can be out of control. Let's go. And…." Minister Philip cleared his throat, pointing at the sword in her hand.

'The King really care about just with the way I saw him this morning yelling at the maids and asking how your health condition is. It been long I see so much affection In the King's eyes. But why are you with a sword?"

'Oh! This?" Lun raised the sword up. 'It would be better to keep your mouth shut. I'm sorry but you're talking too much already. I might use it on you. The main reason for this sword is, I think it has a job to do tonight if possible." Lun replied him.

Minister Philip just nodded. He didn't want to talk further. He has been warned.

Just as they were going along the bush path, the same rustling sound came again.

'There will be war tonight like the king predicted. We are being ambushed now. The hunters are around us." Lun began to whisper and Minister Philip began to shiver.

'Why don't we just go back home and locked the door till tomorrow." He suggested.

'We are surrounded already……" Before Lun could complete her sentence, she heard,

'Attack the kingdom!"

Every hunters rushed out from their hiding place to attack. Some faced Lun while others scattered themselves into the kingdom.

'Oh my! They are heavy loaded with weapons. I'm a wolf for crying out loud. Somebody help! I don't want to die through a silver object." Minister Philip cried out loud.

The time stopped and everyone stopped moving. Including Lun who already drew out her sword to slay the hunters.

King Wulfgur came down from the tower he was. He has been watching every movement with his eyes clearly. Corner to corner. His ears listening attentively to every sound that was made. Even the sound that's far away from the tower. He listened carefully to it.

He won't sit back and watch his kingdom destroy right before his eyes. That's what he came here for. To prevent any harm from happening to his people.

Wulfgur walked to where the army stayed throughout the day till night and night.

'Wake those who are asleep and tell them to get ready. I've made every thing easy for you in the next ten minutes. Capture and bring every hunters you find in this kingdom here to me. Including their weapons. Head east and you will find them. They've not gone far." King Wulfgur commanded immediately. He got prepared in a flash too.

'No one shall do any harm to my kingdom. To my people whom I am so concerned and care about. Not even my Mena." He whispered but in a dangerous tone.

He has so much to do with this hunters.
