C5 Breaking the silence
Hati
My eyes widened at the sight of her. And my body moved in her direction on instinct. She was standing in place at the entrance, with her eyes stuck on the ground before her. It was her! The girl that filled my dreams all night. Today I was stuck in my thoughts wondering why that was the case. But now that she was before me again, all thoughts paled in comparison to her beauty. And soon my nose caught the scents of chocolate, strawberries, and rain mixing into a mouth-watering whole. I could not find the right words to describe the woman I was walking towards. Even looking at her simply existing made me question my eyes. Was she the Goddes herself, or perhaps an angel? Or was this simply one more dream? And when I thought that my heart stiffened, and my mind hoped and wished that the waking never comes. And if that alluring body was real, I hoped never to dream of anything other than her. My eyes lingered on her figure and made their way toward her face. Even the stars would envy the pure white of her hair, which was effortlessly pined in a bun, whit a few strands falling lazily around her face. Long eyelashes surrounded her eyes, which still looked down at her feet. And when I finally stood in front of her, they fluttered towards me. Her eyes pierced my soul. And it was as the gravity shifted from the ground and became a person pulling in every fiber of my being. The deep red that could even mock the flames themselves, sparked and set my soul ablaze. And then one word kissed her plump parted lips and escaped from her. As if whispering a beautiful melody it charmed itself in my ears, setting my wolf into a frenzy.
"Mate"
Aelia
As the light blinded my eyes, I planted them down towards my feet. And I could feel the heavy gazes of people prickling my skin. The calm room soon erupted in murmurs as all of the people present started talking at once. And my heart quickened and in my mind, I screamed. I stood lost in space, scared like a deer in front of a wolf. Even without looking, I knew they were talking about me. Their eyes tore my body up. Probably mocking my hollow shape and pale face. But then out of nowhere, the slight scent of whiskey, cigarettes, and wood creeped into my senses. Engulfing my mind and reason. As if approaching it slowly became stronger, making all of the other senses overwhelmed. I could feel my wolf squirm in excitement, and my heart, in turn, pounded even faster. And then a pair of black leather shoes entered my vision. And with my head full of thoughts I raised my face up. And in the blink of an eye, all I could see before me was yellow. This pair of eyes shone like liquid gold, and the way they looked at me made my skin feel hot. The aura around this man that was towering above me screamed elegance. He had hair so black that even the midnight sky would envy it, and his full rosy lips would make even roses envious. His well-defined jawline ended where his lean neck started. And the outline of his neck melted and spread into broad shoulders. Thick arms looked like they could hold the sky if it ever fell. He was shining so brightly in my eyes captivating me with invisible energy. Like a planet caught in a new orbit, I wished to come closer. And it was then at that moment I heard Samira howl in joy, and both she and I at the same time whispered her thoughts out loud.
"Mate."
Third person
When the doors of the ballroom opened two people were clearly shown. But the moment that the chandelier light fell on the girl only she remained visible, radiating like the sun. And people gasped and became shocked at the beauty in front of their eyes. The silence that covered the room was loud. But that loudness didn't last long before it was interrupted by the voices that followed. Aelia Van Hith daughter of one of the Alphas, was always an enigma. People spent their time making up stories and legends of her appalling face and body, calling her deformed and monster-like. But those rumors were a far cry from reality. From the back of the room, new gasps caught the attention of many. And in return their eyes followed. Hati the Alpha of the world's biggest pack was walking in a daze not even looking at the people before him. The mass moved like water and split in two, making a clear path to the front. Many perhaps expected he would great Sergei. But his steady steps stopped in front of Aelia. Not even a second had passed since he arrived when her small face moved up toward his. Both of their eyes slightly widened in surprise. The moment the two of them stood one in front of the other, the rowdy hall became deadly silent. This tall man dressed in a black suit was already so attractive to make anyone sigh in envy. His tall proud stature, wide shoulders, and lean muscles were bound by the clothes he wore accenting, even more, his willful and wild nature. In comparison, the woman before him looked small. And that in return made her look fragile and soft. Her every curve was perfect and elegant, like a statue sculpted by the Goddess herself. The long white dress further contrasted his black appeal. Their appearances were so different that their charms became that much easier to see. Everyone in the room looked at them, holding their breaths scared that the slightest sound would disrupt the scene before them. Together they looked like a painting of a dream. A second passed as it was an eternity as they stared into each other's eyes, rooted in place. But then the woman's lips moved breaking the silence with only a single word. And that one word was a whisper, that hit the room like thunder.
"Mate."
