C2 Never leave me

The room was illuminated by the moon and the street lights outside, and on the wall was a big picture of a smiling woman next to a man who was actually him.

His fists tightened, his feet rooted, and his face completely lost all color as he looked at the photo.

He finally plucked up the courage to move forward and open the curtains, he looked around the empty room and saw that not a hair of her was there. He glanced at their wedding photo once more. He was taken aback by her beauty that, as years ago. He moved forward to touch the photo without realizing it and stood there staring at her for a long time, stunned. His eyes had gone from mist to a downpour as his hand found her face.

Just then, something flashed before his eyes and there was an abrupt "Bang." echoed.

His nostril flaring, enraged. He punched the picture repeatedly until his hand started to bleed and the picture shattered violently before he threw it to the ground.

He leaned against the wall, closed his eyes, breathed deeply, and pounded his fist firmly. His breathing was shallow and heavy in darkness.

Shortly after, he straightened his back and hurriedly turned to go.A cylinder figure emerged gradually from the shadows. She dropped to her knees and picked up the broken glass from the blood-stained picture frame. She ran her hand over the photo and remembered the moment, the man cradling her in his arms as he spoke.

"Laya do you know how much I love you "

"I can kill and die for you"

She smiled mockingly. "What a corny sentence."

She broke the picture in two, tearing apart the man and woman, then took a shard of glass and stabbed him in the chest. The man's and her hand's blood combined, drenching the picture in blood. Her unspeakable love was evident in the mist of sadness in her eyes, and even though she appeared miserable, her smile never left her face. She got up and went to look out the window at the most opulent car that stayed there until morning.

He was still sitting in the car, staring at the tiny, run-down house, despite the early hour of the morning. He did not seem stressed or worn out. He could not leave, not that he did not want to.

The entire night, he believed that she was staring at him through the window with the same tender eyes, though the room was dark and the window was partially closed, obscuring his view. Nevertheless, she appeared to be standing there watching him. He was afraid that if he touched her, she would vanish, even though he wanted to run up and embrace her tightly. Seated in the car, he observed her as she stood behind the window.

They would have been a happy family with a child if only she was not the girl he detested the most. His phone continued ringing, but he did not pick up the call or give a damn. He took a moment to pick up the phone and dial the number.

"Ascertain her condition within the cell. I require every specificity. Get it done as soon as possible."

Years later, he plucked up the courage to ask where she was. Before the next person could say anything, he hung up. It was a while before he picked up his phone once more and dialed a number.

"I will see you in fifteen minutes,"

His voice was calm and stern as usual.

Ana Elrod angrily threw her phone onto the bed, but she did not hesitate to head to the Italian café where they usually meet. The sole child of the top five wealthiest families, Nobody, not even her parents, has ever treated her this way. She could not have put up with him for so long if he had not been the only man she loved.

A lady in tasteful, designer clothes was breathtakingly gorgeous in a posh café. As she came in, every breath saw a glimpse of her. She went straight up to the man, who was sitting there looking very formal in his expensively tailored suit and opulent shoes.

"You did not come back last night."

She put her handbag on the table and spoke up as she took a seat.

"Last night, you suddenly felt ill... All I could do was allow you to remain." His voice came out slowly, but clearly. "It is been a long time since we have known each other, and you know me very well... I hope there will be no second time." His remarks were harsh and blunt.

"Iden… I am sorry, but I cannot deny that you are the only man I have ever liked." With a hint of melancholy on her face, she looked at him as she spoke.

"You know what I detest the most, Ana?" It was a slow, icy-cold voice.

Her voice trembled at the stare of his cold, lie-detecting gaze. "Deceptions" She dared not meet his eyes.

He circled the rim of the cup with his thumb and said, "Hopefully, you will not make me hate you in the future."

She lowered herself slightly to grasp his hands, sobbing with regret in her voice. "Iden, I am sorry... I promise never to make you hate me."

She not only brought a business proposal to him last night, but she also had the audacity to act unwell, dutifully obligingly ignoring the fact that he was Iden Ruan.

A couple sitting inside the café, their hands clasped, looked peaceful and romantic from the outside. People only look at them as if they were a perfect match.

A long black jacket-wearing woman was standing outside the café. Her face was barely visible under the hood, her hands were tucked under the jacket pocket, and her purple-black hair hung loosely over both shoulders. Her slightly purplish-hued eyes were hazel-grey as she stared straight through the glass window at the man and woman inside. The coldness in her eyes grew progressively colder.

Sensing the stare, the man seated inside glanced out the glass, feeling a little uneasy.
