C16 Chapter 16- She is cheating?

Sebastian POV

I was still wondering what was wrong with Jennifer's number all of a sudden when my boss called me.

"Sebastian, I need the file in my office". I heard from my superior and I dropped the phone and took the file to his office,after he reviewed it and handed it back to me I rushed back to my seat and took my phone.

Jennifer called me twice,I shouldn't be answering falls during office hours but I couldn't help it so I took the phone to the restroom and called her back.

Jennifer answered on the first ring.

"Sabestian, I am so sorry I heard you called earlier and my friend was on the phone. I went to use the restroom,I am so sorry he can be a prude at times". Jennifer explained and my mind felt at ease a bit.

For a friend the man really did cross some boundaries,you shouldn't answer someone's call and talk so rudely to someone you don't even know.

"That's fine Jenny I just wanted to be sure you were alright and the phone didn't get stolen ,but your friend crossed a boundary". I replied.

"I am sorry and I scolded him for it,when you two meet he will apologize to you". Jennifer said and my worries depleted.

"There's no need for that as long as he understands what he did, I just really missed you and I wanted to hear your voice a bit". I said.

"Aww did you miss me that much? Aren't you in the office?". Jennifer asked.

"I am". I replied.

"Then get back to work Mr Sabestian,love you". Jennifer said.

"Love you too". The call ended.

I took a deep breath and put my phone into my pocket as someone opened the door of one of the restrooms smiling at me.

"Love you too". My colleague mimicked as he laughed and walked out of the restroom.

Oh my goodness I wasn't going to hear the last of this.

He was going to tease me with this if he didn't tell the whole office that I was calling my love during office hours.

Get yourself together Sabestian,I gave myself a little prep talk before going back to work and my other colleagues were staring at me,of course I will become the talk of the office now,great just absolutely great.

At least I was less bothered by the loud voice I heard in the background the day I called Jennifer but it didn't mean that that feeling that something was wrong went away but I shrugged it off and got back to all I needed to be thinking about now was how to get that promotion.

When work ended I decided to go over to her house unannounced since today was Friday tomorrow would be the weekend I could sleep over there,I knew if I didn't visit her I won't be able to sleep well at night so it best I visited her it won't be the first time I was sleeping over at her , besides she comes over to my house unannounced at times she even has a spare key so I saw no reason why I couldn't go over to hers.

I never went to her house often because I was so busy and always tired during weekends but she understood.

I was the first to leave the office when work ended as I dashed into my car and drove to her house. It was 7:21 when I got there. She lived in an apartment near to her work place. I brought flowers on my way to her house.

Every step I took towards her apartment door got my heart heating fast,I just hope what I was thinking was the case.

I used my hand to brush my hair backwards as I came to a stop in front of her door and I tossed a mint into my mouth and then I pressed the doorbell.

After two minutes the door opened revealing a shirtless man in just shorts,his hair looked unkempt and I raised a brow at that.

Who's this?

I practically know of Jennifer's brothers and relatives so whose this?

"Who are you?". The man asked and I recomposed myself. I was expecting Jennifer to answer the door so this was awkward. The man sounded like the voice I heard earlier today so he must be her friend.

"I want to see Jennifer, is she in?". I asked.

The man scowled as he saw the flowers in my hand and what he said next punched a hole in my heart and made my feet wobble.

"What business do you have with my fiance?". The man asked.

His face showed he was annoyed at my presence,but I felt as if my would just ended.

"Did you just say fiancee?". I was unable to comprehend what he was saying.

"Yes fiancee". He confirmed raising his left hand showing me the ring on his hand.

"I want to see Jennifer". I said.

I needed to see her and confirm this before jumping into conclusions. Maybe she relocated and didn't tell me about it or this was a joke.

"Why?". He asked.

"It's important". I said.

"Babe, who's at the door?". Jennifer asked, coming into my view,she was watering a night gown and her eyes widened when she saw me.

"Jennifer, can we have a word?'' I said.

"Do you know him?". The man asked Jennifer who shook her head.

"He's my ex, please close the door". Jennifer said and turned her back at me.

"Ex?". I asked disbelievingly trying to process what she was saying but my mind was blank.

"I think you should leave''. The man tried to close the door but I held onto it.

"I am her boyfriend, not my ex . I need to talk to her!". I yelled at the manas we both pushed the door.

Jennifer's fiance was trying so hard to close the door but I was pushing it as if my life depended on it.

"Open this door!". I yelled.

"You better leave now that I'm asking nicely!". Her fiance yelled as I pushed the door open and he fell to the ground as I walked into the apartment and Jennifer finally turned to me.

"Jennifer, call the police!". Her fiance yelled.

"Sebastian leave we ate over there's nothing between us don't ruin my life". Jennifer said tears at the corners of her life.

"What are you saying Jennifer? I just saw you last week. How can you tell me that we are over today when I spoke to you yesterday? Was he the man I heard his voice in the background yesterday!". I yelled at her.

Her fiance called the police as I couldn't even process what was going on here ,why did this happen? Why did I come here?

"We are done with what I mean, move on with your life and stop pestering me!". Jennifer yelled back ,tears spilling down her face.

Her voice that I only knew to be soft and calm yelled at me.

"I can't believe that four years meant nothing to you". I said sadly.

"The police are on their way, I suggest you leave". Her fiance said but I made my way towards her and she took steps back as her fiance came to her aid,I understood I was the intruder.

"I can't believe a man would be so stuck on one woman". Her fiance snarled at me.

I know I was acting like a fool in front of them even after Jennifer called me her ex.
