C20 Chapter 20- Best friend.
Sebastian Pov
I got to my room and headed to the bathroom to take a shower.I reeked of alcohol and I needed to get rid of that repulsive smell of alcohol.
I struggled to get out of my clothes even though it was something I wear everything,I was so freaking tired.
After successfully getting rid of my clothes I got into the shower as l I turned on the shower and the warm water touched my body.
I just let it flow down freely because I didn't have the strength to bathe, after bathing I brushed my teeth.
After stepping out of the bathroom I got dressed ready to go out. When I took my phone I saw missed calls from Jennifer. Why was she still calling me? Aren't we over already?
I didn't want anything to do with her right now I just wanted to go get wasted.
As if it was on cue my doorbell rang and I wondered who it was,I wasn't expecting anyone and I never had visitors except for Jennifer.
I checked who it was and it was and it was Lucas.
What's he doing here? He had to visit now of all times, would he ever let me hear the end of this if I told him I got dumped.
I opened the door for him and the look on his face told me he knew what was going on. Thank goodness I didn't need to say anything about Jennifer to him.
We exchanged greetings as he came in and sat down on the couch.
"Going somewhere you are all dressed up?". Lucas my friend asked
"I..I..i was but I think I changed my mind". I replied as I sat beside him.
I was going to get drunk again but I knew there was no need for that since it was such a stupid idea,I don't want to lose my wallet.
"Jennifer called me and told me she couldn't reach you. I thought something happened to you,so I came to check up on you". Lucas explained.
Jennifer was still bothering herself with my personal life as if it mattered to her.
"A...am fine". I muttered as I relaxed on the couch.
"You found out didn't you?". Lucas asked and I raised an eyebrow at his question, what does he mean ?
"That she had a fiance". Lucas added and I sat upright. He knew about it.
"Don't even start blaming me because I warned you and you didn't listen". Lucas added.
I wasn't going to blame him since I knew he warned me about innocent looking Jennifer who couldn't kill a fly but I was so enchanted by her naiveness that I didn't listen.
"You warned me I know I'm not going to push any blame on anyone, but how did you find out?". I asked.
I...well…". Lucas was finding it hard answering my question.
"Well…". Lucas scratched the back of his neck and I raised an eyebrow at that.
"I saw it posted online two days ago and…". Lucas glanced over to me as he sighed.
What was up with him?
"I was just trying to see how I would approach you with it... but knowing who you are and how much you loved her I just wanted to wait till weekend till I tell you but I guess it went south .'' Lucas finally explained.
He must have been too busy with his lady friends that he forgot to tell me about this, but getting angry at him didn't have a point because there was nothing I could do, Jennifer was already engaged.
"Jennifer's fiance is an heir or something like that so you understand why she did it if she hasn't explained". Lucas scoffed.
"She isn't…". I paused in my words as I remembered I was trying to defend her,she told me I couldn't give her the future she wanted and deep down it hurt me,it made my heart fill with rage as to why she would do this for money. I can't jump into conclusions yet I needed to hear her say it. But what was the point of it?
"I hope you didn't do anything stupid last night?'. Lucas asked.
"Stupid like get myself drunk and pass out and then wake up in my house,no I didn't do anything stupid". I replied.
Now that I remembered what happened I felt so stupid, how could I just get myself drunk like that.
"Who took you home then?". Lucas asked as I shook my head and got up from the couch.
"It's a long story I will tell you on our way to the mini mall". I replied as I made my way to the door .
"Mini mall?". Lucas asked and he followed behind me.
"Yes I have to buy groceries, my fridge is practically empty". I replied as we walked out the door and to the garage where we got into my car and drove to a nearby mini mall.
Lucas helped me out by buying the groceries and we went back to watch a football match. I told him of the crazy lady who took me home.
"You mean a total stranger took you home and slept in your house?" . Lucas asked, surprised.
"I was surprised as well ,I expected myself to wake up along the road or something like that". I explained.
I was still surprised at her actions because I took her as crazy and plain rude.I don't know what touched her heart to take me home.
"You are saying a woman took you home?". Lucas asked again and I nodded.
"You ain't missing any money in your wallet or at home?". He asked.
"Everything is in place besides she doesn't look like a thief". I explained.
That lady looked nothing like a thief,if anything she looked well off. That's the reason she's so rude.
"Wow, I got to meet this lady, the last time I got drunk at a bar I woke up with my wallet and credit cards missing,it hasn't been recovered till today". Lucas explained.
"That's because you are a womanizer". I said.
All he does is take women out clubbing and drinking. I won't be surprised if he was robbed.
"Well what can I say the ladies love me". Lucas said and I was tempted to laugh.
I seemed to have forgotten all that was happening.
I was glad he was keeping me company and not prying too much into the matter. He is a good friend.
"Welcome to the bachelor club". Lucas said and I rolled my eyes at him.
"Are you single as well?". I asked.
"Did I tell you I had a lover". Lucas countered and I shook my head.
Lucas can be unbelievable sometimes.I thought he introduced me to his girlfriend three months ago.I don't even know what to ask what happened to their relationship because I have two guesses.
Either he lied to her or he got tired of her.
I was now single but somewhere deep down in my heart it hurts.
Jason slept over at my house and left the next morning after cheering me up. It wasn't the end of the world but the end of a relationship.
