C21 Chapter 21- meeting Jennifer

Sebastian POV

I was awoken by the blurring sound of the alarm clock,I tapped my hand on the nightstand searching for the alarm clock to turn it off and I wondered where it went since my hands couldn't reach it.

Boom!!!

I heard and I jolted upright at the sound and I saw my alarm on the floor, seriously nice way to wake me up fully awake,you did a good job.

I picked up the alarm clock which I suspected might have gotten broken and dropped it on the nightstand as I stood up and flipped on the light switch as light shone into my room. It should be 6 am in the morning, that's when I always set my alarm to go off.

I headed into the shower and stopped in front of the washbasin and stared at the mirror as I turned on the tap and slashed water on my face.

it's been two weeks since my breakup with jennifer, slowly but surely I was getting over her.

I took a refreshing bath as I made breakfast, wore my suit and headed to the door.

I was humming happily as I got out of my house and shut the door.

"Fancy seeing you up so early". I heard and I turned to see the lady that brought me back that night I got drunk.

I didn't want to meet her today of all days.I didn't see her again after that night. She brought me home and I didn't want to see her.I didn't know how much I embarrassed myself in front of her when I was drunk.

Heck I didn't even remember a thing no matter how hard I tried to.

"Good morning I am heading off to work". I greeted nervously as I made my way to the elevator.

I had to meet her in the morning all the time.I heard footsteps behind me and I knew she was heading to the elevator as well. Now I feel stuck. I can't just go back into my apartment. It would be obvious that I was avoiding her.

We both got into the elevator and I was at a loss of words.I should thank her properly for taking me home last night,but knowing how she is, would she even agree?

What in goodness name was I even say I thought I was avoiding her by every possible means now I was looking for ways to thank her.

"Erm...well.... thank you for last time,I...well...I really appreciate it…. Would you like to maybe go for a drink so we could get to know each other better". I managed to say but I got no reply.

I glanced over to her and she had her hands crossed and was obviously not pleased that I was talking to her.

This was so awkward,I don't know if I made a mistake yesterday.

"You already know that my name is Sabastian. What is yours?"I asked since I was trying to be nice.

The elevator door opened and she walked out of the elevator ignoring my whole existence.

That's what I got for trying to thank someone,great .

Absolutely great.

I stepped out of the elevator before it closed.

"You could at least reply to what I asked". I half yelled and she stopped and turned slightly to me.

"Did I tell you I want to be your buddy?". She asked as she tilted her head to the side.

"You didn't but I was trying to be nice since you helped me out". I stated.

"Tsk….. if I knew you would be this annoying I would have let them rob you". She said,

"Thank you and let's not meet again". I said to her as she glanced over to me as a smirk formed in her face.

"So….who's Jenny?". She asked and my happy mood seemed to have vanished.

"Oh ... .did I say something I shouldn't have". The rude lady said as she used her hand to cover her mouth,the side of my lips twitched in anger.

How dare she remind me of something I had forgotten about.

Was she trying to make fun of me? She must have heard me calling Jennifer's name that night. I thought she wouldn't bring it up but I guess I was wrong. How did I expect such a rude lady to become a good woman overnight?

I took a deep breath to calm myself.

"Thank you". I told her one more time and with that she stared at me for a while and turned her back at me and waved then she left.

What is up with this strange woman?

Was she that inconsiderate!!

I shook my head at her behavior as I got into my car and drove off to work.

I have never met a lady as rude as this,the best she could have done was accept my thanks so I won't bother her anymore. Why did she have to bring up anything that related to Jenny? Was she just planning on ruining my day from the beginning?

As I got to work my phone rang.

It was Jennifer. What does she want?

I ended the call but she kept on calling me that I had to turn off my phone.

Why was she pestering me now after two weeks of silence? No explanation would be enough for what she did.

When I turned on my phone after work Jennifer's message popped up.

"Let's meet up at your house after you get off work, call me". Jennifer's message said but I couldn't care less.

I didn't want to see her and I wanted nothing to do with her.

I drove back home from work and I saw Jennifer waiting at my door immediately as I got off the elevator.

What in goodness name is she doing here?

I just stood there thinking about what to do next.

She saw me and was waiting for me to make a move but my legs were glued to the spot in front of the elevator.

I stood there just staring at her for close to five minutes as both of us didn't make any move to come to the other.

I didn't even know when the elevator door opened.

"Get out of my damn way, freak!!". I heard someone yell as I was pushed,who was that?

I staggered a bit and then I turned to look at who pushed me.

It was the lady from earlier,why's she back here? Of all times she had to come now.

But with her here a plan formed in my head.

"Hi.....". I greeted with a smile as she furrowed her brows in confusion.

I didn't know her name so I don't know how to address her.

This was me being desperate,what would I even say to her??

"Are you talking to me?". She asked. "Yes". I confirmed.

I hope that this doesn't backfire because this lady doesn't seem like she wants me talking to her.
