C6 future ensured

Sheryl doesn't think she has had this much peace of mind in such a long time. Seeing the kids play around happily is enough for her to beam with a smile.

The Starlight Pack has been nothing but a blessing in disguise to Sheryl. She no longer has to dread waking up or being seen. She has lived a life in fear and now, she has a taste of what peace of mind feels like. Still sitting down, she kept thinking of how to build a life here and forget the life of misery that she had lived.

"Bye, mama," Phoebe tells me running out of the house happily.

"I'll get you candy from the candy man mama," Phoenix tells her smiling and following her sister to play.

"Wait Phoenix, where's your sister?" She asks Phoenix surprised Lenny isn't going out with them.

"She said she doesn't want to go out."

"Why?"

"I don't know."

Phoenix tells her mother and runs off before she can say anything else. This is unlike Lenny. They always go everywhere together but her wanting to stay behind is a cause for worry.

Sheryl immediately stood up to go check on Lenny to be sure she was fine. As she entered the house, she saw her curled up on the floor which made it evident that something was wrong with her. She walked to her and lay down beside her, cuddling her.

She wanted her to feel safe before asking what was wrong and why she wouldn't go out to play. Lenny has always been the calmer one but not one to stay behind. She would rather go out and sit down watching them than stay behind alone.

"P baby. Wanna talk to mama?" She asks her.

"No mama" she replies coldly. Sheryl was shocked.

"Oh, boo. Mama's gon' be sad if you do not talk to her. Talk to me cupcake."

She turns to face her mother and smiles a little before talking.

"Mama" she calls out

"Yes p baby,"

"I don't want to leave you alone"

Sheryl becomes confused trying to understand what Lenny means.

"You are just going to play a while. Mama's gon 'be fine" She tells her daughter softly.

"But what if he comes around?" She asked, which made her confused.

"He?"

"Yes. That man keeps disturbing you. The one you don't like that keeps coming back." She stressed which makes Sheryl understand she's just scared about her mother getting hurt.

"He can't hurt Mama okay? And Mama will be fine as you go play with your friends and your sisters."

"But he is creepy," she tells Sheryl which makes her understand why she thinks her mother is not safe.

"Hey baby" she replied to her, holding her face. "You do not have to be scared okay? You can go have fun and Mama will be okay so run along alright..."

"Are you sure?" She asked, still not convinced that her mother would be fine.

"I'm fine baby. Mamma will be okay; go have fun okay? up up"

Her face begins to brighten up as she stands up to go have fun. Sheryl arranges her daughter's clothes properly, pecks her on the forehead, and tells her to run along. She waves to her and runs out of the house happily. Seeing her happy feels good and knowing she worries about her mother is so cute too, Sheryl thought.

Thinking back to when she found out she was pregnant, it felt like her world was about to crumble. The cause of the pregnancy, the father of the girls, and also not knowing anything about motherhood made her scared to death.

Just somehow, the children came and they been such a blessing. Every day, she wakes up with joy; happy that she has three cute girls to take care of.

They are the reason she wants to be alive. Still in her thoughts, she heard a sound at the back of the house which made her a little bit frightened. Her heart began to race as she wondered who it could be at the back of her house. If it is a visitor, then he'd use the front door.

A person who goes through the back doesn't want to be seen. She stood up as quietly as she could so that whoever it was would not hear the sound of her footsteps. She moves to pick up anything for self-defense. She holds what she picked very tight so that it will not be easily snatched from her. She began to move to the back quietly trying to see who it was, but she still couldn't see anyone.

She kept moving forward quietly and then raised her hand to hit the person, immediately she saw a figure but the person held her hand still.

Fear grips Sheryl as the person holds her hand up. Her worst fear flashed through her mind. She thought they had found her. Her eyes shut still as she heard someone talk to her.

"A spoon? A spoon?" The person asked her laughing, she felt upset immediately when she heard the familiar voice.

She snatched her hand back from him and rolled her eyes The nerve of this man came to her house through the back door.

"You must be insane!!!" She snapped at him.

"Yes baby" he smiled stupidly. "insane for you" he teased knowing fully well how much she disliked him or anything that had to do with him.

"Get out of my house " Sheryl shouted at him wanting him to leave immediately.

"Leave right this instant, your face is a nightmare"

"With all pleasure baby, if that is where you get to see me then I will gladly be there," he tells her smiling

"You must be mad." She replied to him with so much disgust.

In as much as she is enjoying the Starlight Pack, it is her only problem right here. He keeps coming to her house unannounced, following her in strange ways.

He stalks her in ways that make her feel unsafe; and now, her daughters already know about it which makes it unsafe for them.
