C16

Rosie blushed. "Nathan, you are so shameless!"

"Just by looking at you, you are already so shameless?" The man seemed to be in a good mood. "With how you look now, who knows how many men you have seduced? If you don't have my protection, do you believe that as long as you walk out of the Garner family's door, you will be swallowed alive?"

She pursed her lips and ignored his more and more unruly words.

What gentleman, infatuation, and dedication? They were all lies. Only now did she know how despicable he was.

"Embarrassed?"

He stared at the girl's red cheeks. His Adam's apple slid down his throat. The girl that his grandfather had chosen was not a complete fool. At least, no matter what, she would always look pleasing to the eye.

Women were like flowers. They could make him happy when they were annoyed.

"Mr. Garner, blushing doesn't mean that you are shy. I was born like this. It's your fault that you are so infatuated."

Why did she have to be shy with Nathan? She was not stupid!

Nathan was not angry at all. Although she always picked the most annoying topic, he only felt that it was fun to listen to her.

The girl's voice was very pleasant to listen to. It was soft and gentle. Hearing her speak made him feel as if he had drunk a bowl of sugar雪梨 water. It was refreshing and relaxing. Of course, the premise was that she was not spouting nonsense.

When they returned to the villa, Rosie was still angry at him for teasing her on the car. She was angry all the way back. Her unhappiness was written all over her face.

Nathan was a man of few words. Ever since he was a child, he had never met a girl before. He was not good at dealing with girls, so he kept his distance from them.

As they walked into the hall, Rosie kicked off her shoes. Her shoes were in a mess, with one shoe on the left and the other on the right.

Nathan frowned. "Put your shoes on."

The girl who had put on her slippers was stunned. She raised her chin and gave him a cold stare. She then walked into the living room.

She had planned to put her shoes back on, but he had ordered her to not do so.

Nathan stood where he was and stared at the girl's reckless back. He was angry, but he calmed down after a few seconds. He bent down and picked up her shoes.

Rosie did not go to the living room. She went straight back to her room, while Nathan went to the study room.

At dinner time, the two of them went downstairs to eat together.

There was only her and him at the dining table. It was true that she was not a reserved person, but she had never treated herself poorly when it came to eating. She was just enjoying her food.

Nathan glanced at her. The girl did not look shy at all. She looked like a child. She was a young lady who did not know the world. She was in her twenties, and she looked no different from a child.

A child...

Heh.

A man who was already thirty years old was in his prime. He had such power, and he could have any woman he wanted. Why did he feel guilty?

He couldn't help but stare at the girl's clear eyes. The water was so shallow, but somehow, it had a seductive luster to it.

Nathan's mind was filled with the words 'old cow eating young grass'.

He was already a mature man at the age of ten, but she was just a stubborn little girl even though she had experienced a family change.

A little girl?

Nathan put down his chopsticks and laughed at himself.

"What are you laughing at?"

She asked casually.

"Nothing. Can I smoke a cigarette?"

The man asked in a gentlemanly manner.

"It's your freedom to smoke, and this is your house. But if you ask for my opinion, I hope you don't smoke in the dining room. That will affect my appetite."

The smoke was very choking, but she didn't dislike men smoking, but she didn't like it at the dining table.

Nathan smiled and got up to leave the dining table. He went out to smoke, which could calm him down.
