After Maria left the room reluctantly, I looked at Scarlett who was now sleeping peacefully while her head was resting on my chest. From her face, she looked content and at ease.

I sighed, closing my eyes as I was thinking of a way to let them meet. Hunter growled at me suddenly at my thoughts.

" Don't make this difficult for me," I said to him. He didn't reply to me and went silent
