C19 BRAVE ME

Martha and Rita followed her as they kept calling but she just went on anyway, ignoring them. With a few more steps ahead, she finally made a halt which allowed them to close upon her.

" What's the rush for?... we always go home together, why are you leaving without us?" Martha asked with a sad look of which Vicky opted for an apology as she turned to them.

" Sorry guys, cheer up~ I'll make it up to you...what do you say about a treat". Vicky smiled and both Martha and Rita cheerfully chorused. " Yes ...., Yes...." with a hug which made her chuckle.

" Okay, then, let's go get some snacks and ice cream. " With this, they proceeded out of campus to their favorite snack and ice cream pub. A few minutes later, they arrived of which they spontaneously settled by an empty table outside the pub. Vicky bought some snacks and ice cream for Martha and Rita to which they retired for chitchat.

" How can that .... Aimscious, embarrass us in front of the whole school~ Who does she think she is?" Rita raised the topic and Vicky smirked.

" Don't worry Rita, she does not know what she's coming for? ~ She's playing with fire and she'll get to know how it hurts." A mischievous smile swept through her face.

" She had bitten more than she can chew this time and will soon live to regret " Martha chortled.

Taking a stroll back home from school, Aims and Mart kept chatting along ~ with a bright smile, he glimpsed at her.

" I'm really glad you were able to stand up for yourself. You were like a wounded lion over time". He complimented which made her flushed, shy~ her lips curved in a smile.

" I guess this is the brave me now...Thanks for encouraging me to focus on getting the sparkles of my destiny~ I discovered I can only push through when I'm brave enough to stand for myself ". She uttered and he chuckled as he patted her head with a smile.

" I'm happy you took my advice. Always be who you are destined to be no matter what, huh? ". He advised and she nodded, her eyes fixed on his face as it glittered with smiles.

" No matter what or how people try to destroy my sparkles, I'll always have them because I'm destined with it. " Her subconscious thoughts echoed. Just then, Mart's voice cut through her thoughts, hitting her back to consciousness.

" How is mum doing now "? He asked.

" She's good.... least I forget, never tell her anything about my bruises neither what happened today, okay? ". She cautioned with a worried look which drew Mart's gaze into a skeptical one.

" Why ?" His brows furrowed with displeasure. " Why don't you want her to know, she can take actions against it".

" No, please...Have you forgotten what the doctor said?~ I don't want to lose her, please" She pleaded. Hesitating to a decision for a while, he agreed with a nod.

" Alright, I'll do it just this once" He stated. By then, they had gotten to the destination of which they had to part ways and continue their individual walk home. " See you tomorrow, then. I call you in the evening" He added and she nodded with a smile after which they both dash off their separate route.

VICKY'S HOUSE

It was well past 7 pm and the evening was still young; Vicky had retired to her room after a brief meeting with her mother. As she sunk into her bed, she reached for her phone and began surfing through with flickering eyes. Flipping through a few contacts, she made a dial.

buzz..... buzz..... buzz......, it rang from the other end, and with a few rings, a voice answered of which she echoed back.

" Hey there, Li, hope all is well"

" Yes... Vicky, I'm good~ so what's up?... Any good news from what I asked of you?" Lilia asked.

"Yes," She started, narrating all the happenings and the incident of the afternoon which didn't dive down so well for Lilia. With fury, she barked.

"How dare her?.... She had the gust to attack, question, and even threaten you?"

" Yes, Li, you can say that again. She embarrassed me in front of the whole school". Vicky angrily added.

" No problem, just relax, if she thinks she is tougher, we will show her that we are the toughest," Lilia stated, her voice laced with mischief. " So now, we need another plan. I want you to get her kidnapped and killed ".

" Are you sure about this, Lilia" Vicky's brow furrowed with disbelief and uncertainty. " Can we not go this far?"

" That's if you still want to be her pet which she tosses around the school" Vicky's face instinctively grew cold with the sound of that.

" Call it done~ I'll allow her"

" Great, now we're talking... I'll get back to you later with all you got to know." With this, both lines went dead. Vicky's lips curved with a sinister smile.

" Let's see how long you gonna go with your attitude" She growled.
