C22 A Demon Beside Him!

Chenyu ran a hand through his hair, a faint, almost imperceptible smile of resignation playing on his lips. He couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of the girl beneath him, her face a mix of panic and barely daring to breathe.

For a moment, Geyao was captivated. His deep, starry eyes were mesmerizing, pulling her in. But the reality of the situation snapped her back to her senses. She felt like a fish on a chopping board, her fate entirely in his hands—whether she'd be set free or devoured depended on his whim.

What should she do?

Suddenly, a drop of sweat fell from Chenyu's chin, landing on her face, almost searing her skin. Despair washed over Geyao. She hadn't realized how much he was holding back. He seemed like a lone wolf, starving, and her chances of being released seemed slim.

She was just a young girl, clueless about what a man looks like when he desires a woman. But the heat radiating from him and the intensity in his eyes revealed an urgency and impulse that made her heart race.

It's over!

"I... I'm not feeling well," Geyao stammered, deciding to try reasoning with him before resorting to desperate resistance. Her voice was so soft she could barely hear it herself.

"When will it be ready?"

To her surprise, the excuse she had hastily concocted was actually believed by the Ninth Master. He didn't devour her in one bite, and his raspy voice was incredibly magnetic. It had a sensual quality that could rival the best voice actors, making her ears almost want to swoon.

This man wasn't just powerful; he was extraordinarily handsome, with a physique that could make international models feel inadequate. Now, even his voice was flawless... It seemed unfair that someone could be so perfect.

Shen Geyao turned her head away, trying not to be swayed by his striking appearance, determined not to let her mind succumb to his allure. She was nearly consumed by his charm, almost becoming infatuated.

Thankfully, Shen Geyao quickly regained her composure and took control of the situation.

"Um, I... I think, at least... I need a good night's rest..."

Before she could finish, Liang Chenyu's eyes darkened, and Shen Geyao felt her breath catch. She decided to go all in, saying, "Ninth Master, I... I'm really not feeling well. Tomorrow, at least tomorrow..."

Yet, he continued to lean in, his strong hands firmly pinning her down.

The overwhelming force nearly drove Shen Geyao to the brink of collapse. What a brute! She had already said she wasn't feeling well, yet he still insisted. Do men only care about their own satisfaction, completely ignoring a woman's feelings and physical state? And to think he was once her idol—his behavior was utterly despicable.

No way! She couldn't let him have his way!

Just as Shen Geyao was about to fiercely resist, Liang Chenyu unexpectedly released his grip. While she was momentarily stunned, he rolled off her and lay beside her, casually pulling her back into his arms.

Was he going to devour her?

Shen Geyao's face turned pale with fear, and she struggled briefly, only to hear a hoarse, impatient voice behind her, "Don't move! Get some rest. You'll need your energy when you feel better tomorrow..."

Hearing this, Shen Geyao inexplicably felt a wave of relief. At least for tonight, she had dodged a bullet. As for tomorrow? Well, who knows if tomorrow will even come?

Shen Geyao stayed still in bed, fully aware that being "obedient" was the only way to lower his guard. After all, she wasn't sure if this man had a moment of weakness or if he was plotting for better service tomorrow. Clearly, the latter seemed more likely, as he didn't strike her as someone who would easily soften.

Shen Geyao didn't dare to actually fall asleep in Chenyu's arms. She feared he might suddenly change his mind, and before she could even react, she'd be in deep trouble. But as she waited, his breathing seemed to become more even. Was he... asleep?

Her eyes lit up. This was her chance. Shen Geyao glanced around, searching for the remote control to the door, hoping to make her escape. But soon, frustration bubbled up inside her.

'That jerk, he doesn't trust me at all?'

The remote was clutched tightly in his hand, giving her no opportunity. If she tried to yank it away, she might wake him up, and he could get angry enough to really make her regret it. Shen Geyao didn't want to take that risk, so she lay there, bored, staring at the ceiling while nestled in his arms.

Realizing escape was impossible and feeling exhausted from the earlier chaos, her eyelids grew heavy. Within half an hour, she drifted off to sleep. Falling asleep next to someone like him felt... strangely unsettling.

The next morning, Shen Geyao woke up almost gasping for air. Opening her eyes, she found herself entangled with him, like a koala clinging to a tree, making it nearly impossible for her to breathe.

Shen Geyao's small fist clenched instinctively, swinging toward the face of the person beside her. Thankfully, she snapped back to reality just in time and stopped herself. Goodness, she almost punched this devil right in the face.

Her expression was a mix of shock and uncertainty. She genuinely wanted to land that punch, but if she had, he might have woken up and made her pay for it. Shen Geyao wasn't about to risk her safety, so she quickly dismissed the idea.

She tried to smooth her hair, only to realize she couldn't move her arms or legs. The anger she had just managed to suppress flared up again. What was this jerk thinking, using her as a body pillow? And what was with this bear-like sleeping position?

No one would believe that the Ninth Master, who was so cool and dignified in public, slept like this! His strong arms held her tightly, and his long legs were wrapped around her. No wonder she dreamt of drowning and could hardly breathe—it was all his fault!

If she weren't sure he was still sound asleep, she'd think he was doing it on purpose. He slept deeply, his breathing steady, long, and powerful.

"Huh?"

Suddenly, Geyao noticed the remote control for the door, which had been tightly held by the man all night, was now released and lay not far from her.

"Thank goodness!"

Geyao carefully took his hand, slowly, very slowly, and with great effort, she quietly slipped out of Chenyu's embrace.

She breathed a sigh of relief, but before she could celebrate, the man on the bed furrowed his brow, as if sensing the emptiness in his arms.

He turned over, reaching out to pull her back.

Without thinking, Geyao quickly grabbed a pillow and stuffed it into his arms.

Feeling the fullness again, the man finally drifted back to sleep.

"That was close!"

Only then did Geyao realize her forehead and back were damp with sweat.

Picking up the remote, she tiptoed out of the room and gently closed the door behind her.

After taking just a few steps, she saw a male servant approaching, holding some clothes.

Geyao quickly composed herself, feigning indifference. "Just give me the clothes."

"Yes, ma'am," the servant replied respectfully, handing over the clothes without question.

She was the first woman the Ninth Master had ever brought back, something that had never happened before. Her status must be quite distinguished. The male servant bowed his head respectfully and left.

After sending the servant away, Shen Geyao returned to the room to make sure he was still asleep. She quickly changed into her clothes and quietly left.

...

When Liang Chenyu woke up, the room was filled with his anger. She had run off! That girl had run off again! She had promised that after a nap, she would... and now, once again, she had deceived him! In just two days, he had been tricked twice! What was even more infuriating was that he had slept so soundly last night, he hadn't even noticed her slipping away right beside him!

"Sir..." Seeing Liang Chenyu come downstairs with a face full of rage, Chen Xuan felt a chill run down his spine and said nervously, "The servants said Miss Shen left early this morning."

"The plants around the villa haven't been trimmed in ages!" Liang Chenyu spoke lazily, but the anger in his voice was unmistakable.

Chen Xuan felt a pang of frustration; hadn't they just hired someone to trim those plants the day before yesterday? Nonetheless, he quickly straightened up and said, "I'll have someone... uh, no, I'll personally take care of it right away!"
