C42 I Won't Warn You Twice!

"Uncle, I'm really tired. I just want to... No! I don't want to! I'm not tired at all!"

When Chenyu's large hand moved further down Geyao's back, she was almost scared out of her mind.

"Little one, I don't like repeating my warnings."

Chenyu's voice was cold. As he lifted his head from her shoulder, she could only see his icy gaze. The shameless words and wicked smile still lingered on his lips, yet at this moment, he was utterly cold.

Geyao felt a bit panicked, realizing she had upset him. This man was used to being revered, not just outside where people treated him like a god, but even within the family, he was someone everyone sought to please. A person like him would never tolerate having his dignity challenged.

She had privately refused him countless times, and perhaps he could tolerate it. But if she continued to do so publicly, he would surely make her regret it. Filled with anxiety, Geyao had no choice but to keep dancing with him.

One dance after another, until her legs were so weak she could barely stand. Only then did Chenyu lead her off the dance floor. As soon as they stepped off, Geyao discreetly slipped out of his grasp and quickly walked back to her seat.

Fortunately, this time Chenyu didn't stop him and allowed him to leave. Shen Geyao sat down next to Xinghao. The people nearby had been chatting, and Xinghao occasionally glanced at the dance floor. It was a bit strange that his uncle, who usually avoided women, ended up dancing with Shen Geyao. However, it seemed like his uncle was dragged onto the dance floor by some women, and maybe he used Yao to get rid of them, which wasn't a bad idea.

Sure enough, as soon as Chenyu sat down, he smiled faintly and said, "This girl is pretty clever. If you ever want to avoid socializing, you could borrow your little girl here." Everyone immediately understood; that was indeed the reason. But wasn't he always the type who was too cool and aloof to force himself into social situations? Why did he need someone else now to fend off those persistent admirers?

Shen Geyao almost choked on her drink! This jerk could come up with such a lame excuse so easily. The frustrating part was that everyone at the table seemed willing to believe him. The elderly lady looked at Shen Geyao's flushed face with concern, "Look at this child, she must be exhausted from dancing so long." Shen Geyao nodded quickly, her big, bright eyes blinking, "I am a bit tired."

"Laojiu, look at what you've done to the little girl. Shouldn't you make it up to her?"

"Of course, I'd be happy to personally take you back to rest."

"Oops!" Geyao nearly spit out her juice all over the table.

"What happened?" Xinghao quickly grabbed a napkin and handed it to her.

"N-nothing." Geyao took the napkin, wiped her mouth, and quickly said, "I'm not tired, Grandma. Not at all. I still want to hang out for a while."

There was no way she was letting Chenyu take her back to rest. That devil was definitely up to no good! If he took her back to her room, something was bound to happen!

Chenyu put down his wine glass and picked up a napkin to wipe his hands. "You don't look too well. Are you sure you don't want to go rest?"

"N-no need." Geyao's breathing was a bit erratic, and she gave him a flustered smile. "Thanks, Uncle, but I'm fine."

"Laojiu, it's rare for us to gather like this. Don't keep thinking about going back to rest."

The Third Master had some bottles of red wine brought over and personally poured a glass for Chenyu. "Come on, let's not leave until we're drunk tonight."

The Eldest Master also poured him a drink. "Have some more."

Later, the old man escorted the old lady back to rest, and the gentlemen, along with the young masters Zixu and Xinghao, kept their glasses full the entire time.

As soon as they finished their drinks, the staff quickly refilled their glasses. Eventually, they didn't even need help; they poured their own drinks. Among them, Chenyu drank the most. His friends took turns toasting him, and even the younger folks from other tables joined in. The young ladies of the family also took their turns, eager not to miss out on the chance to toast their charming uncle.

Meanwhile, Geyao sat quietly in her seat, sipping her drink. Occasionally, when she glanced up, she couldn't help but notice Chenyu sitting across from her. Maybe it was the alcohol, but his lips, touched by the wine, glistened with an enticing sheen. His lips were so perfectly shaped and colored that even women would envy them. His features were incredibly refined, handsome, and striking.

Geyao wasn't sure what she was thinking, but for a moment, she found herself staring at Chenyu, captivated by his looks. He was truly handsome, wearing a deep black shirt that was understated yet elegant, and black dress pants that accentuated his long, striking legs. In her eighteen years, she had never seen a man as attractive as him; no one else could compare. He was utterly captivating, especially now.

He sat there quietly, as if he owned the entire room. Everyone's eyes were drawn to him, unable to look away. A natural leader, the most dazzling presence in the world.

Suddenly, his cold yet captivating gaze shifted over.

Shen Geyao was startled, quickly lowering her head and gripping her cup tightly, not daring to look up. She hadn't meant to stare; she just couldn't help but glance a few times. After all, who doesn't appreciate beauty? He was undeniably handsome, impossible to ignore.

But when she thought about how he behaved in private, that unpleasant side of him, she wasn't so captivated by his looks anymore. So wicked—she refused to be charmed by him! His current elegance and grace were just a facade, a complete illusion!

"Yao, go toast Uncle," Liang Xinghao said, taking a glass of red wine from a servant and handing it to Shen Geyao.

Though reluctant, Shen Geyao accepted the glass and stood up. Looking at Liang Chenyu across from her, she tried to maintain her composure. "Uncle, I toast to you."

Leaning back in his chair, it was clear Liang Chenyu had had too much to drink. His deep, starry eyes shimmered with a hint of intoxication, flickering in a way that was truly captivating.

Shen Geyao found herself staring a bit too intently, lost in thought. When she realized, her cheeks flushed, and she quickly lowered her head to avoid his gaze.

Liang Chenyu remained reclined in his chair, making no move, just watching her. This behavior left everyone at the table puzzled—was he refusing the toast?

Feeling a bit awkward, Shen Geyao glanced at Liang Xinghao, who was seated beside her. Xinghao immediately stepped in with a smile to ease the tension, "Looks like my uncle has had a bit too much to drink. I'll take this one for him."
