C13 Being Scolded

Adelaide was successfully recruited by the pediatrics department of the city hospital the next day.

She was assigned to the department of a chief physician in the pediatrics department. Early in the morning, she adhered to the rule of arriving at the hospital fifteen minutes earlier than usual and appeared at the door of the senior's office.

However, she had not arrived at the appointed time.

Adelaide looked at the nurse's desk and asked, "May I ask when he will come over?"

"It's Dr. Tyler. He's already here. However, Dr. Tyler usually goes to the inpatient department to see patients first. So, he'll definitely be late if he comes back after a round. He won't be operating today, so he won't know when he'll come over." The nurse told her.

The young nurse looked Adelaide up and down.

What was going on in the department recently? She had heard that the Cardiology Department's Doctor Winnie was chasing after Doctor Nick, and now a high school girl was looking for Dr. Tyler.

Had the male doctors in their hospital been targeted?

"Hello, I'm a pediatric doctor who came to report to Dr. Tyler. I'm Adelaide. May I ask how to get to the inpatient department?" Since the senior was not around, she went to look for him.

"Adelaide, I'll take you there." The young nurse immediately took her to the ward when she heard that she was not a family member.

The ward in the Pediatrics Department was on the twelfth floor. They took the elevator and went upstairs. "I didn't expect that Adelaide would be so young."

"Really? I'm already twenty-five years old. I'm much older than you."

"You're young."

"What about Dr. Tyler? Is Dr. Tyler in a hurry?" Adelaide asked.

The young nurse smiled and said, "There's no need to rush. Dr. Tyler is very young, and he doesn't look like he's in his thirties at all."

Adelaide was very envious of this leader. After all, he was already a chief physician when he was thirty years old. When she was thirty years old, she didn't know what rank she had reached.

When they arrived at the ward, the nurse called Malcolm.

The man who was gently interacting with the patient on the bed in a white coat had already turned around and was sizing up the newcomer. Adelaide stood in front of him. She was dressed in a girl's style and looked like a neighbor's daughter. When Adelaide saw the smile on his face disappear, she immediately held her skirt and bowed respectfully, "Hello, I'm Adelaide, a new doctor."

Malcolm moved the checklist in his hand in front of her.

"Follow me," he said with a cold face.

This was what he said to Adelaide, because the two interns behind him followed closely behind him. Adelaide was still standing there without moving.

Adelaide followed him and started to accompany him for the ward rounds. She had done this before during her internship, but she knew that she would need to check on so many patients, so she would not wear a pair of high heels. She was in so much pain that she could only grit her teeth.

After the ward round, he returned to his office.

This was the office of Malcolm, the department director of Adeline's pediatrics department. There were two interns outside, and now, there was an additional position for Adeline.

"As a doctor, you should pay attention to your appearance. A white coat is a sign of respect to the patient and yourself. At the same time, I don't like late colleagues." Malcolm emphasized as he looked at her dress.

What the hell? She was waiting for him here, but she did not know that he had broken the rules. She was assigned to his department, but that did not mean that she could accept his unfair treatment.

"I'm not wearing a white coat because Dr. Tyler has yet to assign me. I should have a record of when I came to the hospital. If Dr. Tyler doesn't believe me, you can check the record." Adelaide raised her eyes and went straight back.
