C16 Fallen

She was not a certain someone, so she was not blind.

In the afternoon, there were a lot of things to do in the department. After looking through the medical records in the ward, Malcolm was surprised to see that she was able to quickly get into her work mode.

At first, she thought that a girl like her was just playing around in her heart, and she was very unruly.

It was daytime, and Adelaid was working at the hospital. When the intern left, Malcolm tidied up his desk. He glanced at the table and saw that Adelaid was still making notes.

"It's time to get off work," Malcolm said.

He reckoned that his great and solemn image had already been established. Even if he didn't say anything, Adelaide wouldn't dare to leave.

Adelaide said, "Dr. Tyler, take care."

"You... don't want to go back?" Malcolm asked hesitantly.

"I still need to look up more information on the 18th bed." Before she could raise her head, she had already informed Malcolm. Malcolm shrugged, "Remember to lock the door."

Malcolm hesitated for a moment, then looked at the person on the roof and went to the 23rd floor.

The surgery for Nick had just ended.

Right now, his surgery schedule was very tight.

"After work, let's go for a drink?" Malcolm asked.

"Okay." Nick relaxed a little. He opened the drawer and found that the phone was still in his drawer. She said that she would come back to ask for it. It had been a few days since she came back, so he thought that he could bring it to her next time.

After all, it was quite inconvenient to not have a mobile phone in the modern society.

Malcolm was surprised. "Oh wow, you didn't reject me. You didn't have a date?"

"Do I have a date?"

"The new doctor is still working overtime. I thought she was waiting for you. It seems that she is a little slow in chasing you. She was scared off by your words in the afternoon." Malcolm was confused.

Nick recalled that the doctor who had asked him about his girlfriend was wearing a large white coat. He did not have any special impression of her.

"Not interested."

"Why is there a new target?" Malcolm's mind was filled with thoughts.

Nick closed the drawer, took off his white coat, and said after tidying it up, "If you don't leave now, I will change my mind and stay to work overtime."

"Go, let's go now." Since they had known each other for so many years, it was impossible for him to get anything out of Nick's mouth, unless he took the initiative to tell him.

The two of them were about the same height. After taking off their white coats, they were definitely comparable to the current trend of young and handsome men.

It was almost 6:30 in the evening when she finally called Allie.

"I saw someone." Adelaide reported to Allie with a high-pitched voice.

Hearing Allie's nervous voice, Adelaide said, "You better hurry up. In this hospital, everyone is looking at him like a mouse staring at cheese, waiting to be bitten at any time."

"Della... tell me about his appearance in the hospital. I really want to know about him..."

"So, you want me to help you find out about the military situation. How dare you!"

In the world of love, being in love with someone was a matter of pride. One would be careful to hide their feelings, but they would not be able to resist the urge to know everything about him, even if it was just to know if he was smiling today.

"Della..."

"Don't even think about it. I still want to dig you back from the mountains. If you want to find out about the military intelligence, then come by yourself. This is Winnie, Miles, and Adelaide. If you keep on blocking him, he might open his eyes one day and fall into the trap." Adelaide said to Allie deliberately.

In the medical department, if she could be considered as a school bully, then Allie must be a god of learning. She was the child of others in the teacher's mouth, so she did not need to worry at all.

However, this person had a screw loose. After graduating, he did not go to the hospital to work, but instead ran to the small medical clinic in the mountain village. It was a waste of a good road, and even his mentor felt pity for him.

"Then I will wait for him to fall." Allie was immersed in her own world, unable to extricate herself from it. She was completely unmoved by Adelaide's persuasion. She had no choice but to follow Nick.

"Stupid, I have to take a leave of absence the day after tomorrow. Come and find me. I will treat you to a big meal. I will call Elva over. This guy is about to get married. Why are we so bitter? We don't even have a man?" Adelaide pouted in dissatisfaction.

Allie laughed, "Hurry up and catch one on the street."

"You're so bad!"

The friendship between a girl and her best friend was often a phone call that could make her heart melt.
