C4 You Missed It!

She had been thinking about bad things. Maybe it wasn't that bad. She wiped her tears and ran to the telephone booth in front of her. She wanted to try her luck. There should still be good people in this world.

Allie dialed her phone number with trembling fingers.

The phone rang twice before it was quickly connected. The light of hope lit up once again. There really were good people.

Normally, when someone was picked up, they wouldn't answer the phone or turn it off.

"Hello, did you pick up my phone? My phone is very important to me. Can you give it back to me?" Allie held the receiver of the phone tightly and begged in a low voice.

"Sure. Where are you? I'll get it for you."

When she heard the reply, Allie broke into a smile. "I'm at the bus station of the Bright Light. There's a milk tea shop here where I met you. I'll wait for you inside. I'm wearing a white shirt. Thank you so much. My phone is very important to me."

The person who picked up her phone had pulled her from hell back to heaven.

Life was always full of surprises.

In the end, Allie waited until eight o'clock in the evening, but no one appeared in front of her.

The person who picked up her phone was definitely a liar. The hope of waiting had been extinguished, and all that was left was an empty joy. She had lost her phone.

In the dark street, she walked out of the milk tea shop. She had no direction, so she could only ask for help.

Twenty minutes later, a taxi stopped in front of Allie. A girl walked out from the passenger seat. She had a doll-like face and two dimples on her cheeks. She wore a polo shirt with a 100-fold miniskirt. She had a ponytail and a baseball cap. She looked cute and charming. She looked like a high school student.

That person was Adelaid; she was Allie's best friend from university. After graduating, she stayed in the city hospital to intern and work.

She ran up to Allie and hugged her, comforting her, "Be good, don't cry anymore."

"Della, I'm really useless. I lost my phone. I..." Her voice trembled.

"I know, I know... Let's go back with me. I'll definitely think of a way to get you back." Adelaide pulled her and took her to the taxi.

Allie had tears on her face. She felt sorry for her.

"I called a man over, but no one answered. He then turned off his phone. He must be a liar." Along the way, Adelaide analyzed the situation.

Allie was very curious. "That's impossible. If he was a scammer, he would have turned off the phone. Why did he agree to give me his phone?"

"Maybe he forgot and turned off the phone when he reacted."

"There's something very important in my phone. He's in the phone!" Allie waved her fingers. Her fingertips were white and it hurt.

"I know he is very important to you. I want to think of a way. Otherwise, I will call the police. Or, you can think about it. Did you meet someone just now? Could it be that someone stole him from the bus?" Adelaide asked her to recall.

Allie closed her eyes and thought about it carefully. She had only met him once.

"I saw him."

"Who?"

"Him."

"See you later," Allie said, rubbing her forehead. "You're not dreaming, are you? Didn't you go to America? Why are you here in Blupron?"

Allie would never mistake him. Some people could remember him for the rest of their lives. Allie had seen him like this, so she said, "It can't be wrong."

"Then you should hold onto him tightly. How can you let him escape?"

"I didn't have time."

"Then even if you lose your phone, it's worth it. The world is so big, and we can still meet again. It's fate!" Adelaide consoled her.

Allie was still immersed in the feeling of seeing him and losing her phone. She leaned on Adelaide's shoulder and drove towards the endless night.

When Nick arrived at the milk tea shop, the door was about to close. He went up and asked, "Did a girl come here before? She was wearing a white shirt."
