C5 Liar

"There was one. He seemed to be waiting for someone. After waiting for a long time, no one appeared, so he left." The shop assistant told him.

Nick immediately took out his phone and pressed the unlock button. However, the screen had already turned black. The battery was low, so it automatically shut down.

He had just taken off his white coat and was about to come over to deliver the phone when the head nurse rushed over to stop him. Winnie rushed out from the office next door.

"It's a large-scale car accident. We need to go to the emergency room immediately. We need to operate on him immediately." Winnie pulled him and told him the situation.

It was too urgent. All of his thoughts were on the patient. The most serious injury was to the heart. He immediately arranged for surgery.

As the chief doctor of the Cardiology Department, he had just arrived and was already on the first surgery.

The surgery lasted for a long time. When he finished, he went to the meeting again. Then, he remembered that he had made an appointment with someone to deliver the phone. When he went out the door, he saw that it was already dark. He rushed to the milk tea shop, but the person had already left.

Nick could not think of any way to contact him.

He could only give up and turn around to leave the milk tea shop.

When Nick returned to the apartment that the hospital had arranged for him, he looked for his phone charger. He realized that it was not compatible. He thought that he could charge the phone when he had time. If the owner wanted to find it, he would definitely call him.

However, she did not expect him to not have any spare time these past two days.

After Allie had lost her phone for a few days, she did not call her number. Adelaide spread her net and posted a search启事 on her WeChat Moments and Weibo. However, no one cared.

She had really met a swindler. That person did not intend to return her phone.

Her sadness could not escape.

She had slept in a rented house in Adelaide for a night. The next day, she returned to her workplace, the clinic in Chahbridge, which was known as a godforsaken place. After she graduated from the Medical Science University, she chose to work there.

The sunset shrouded the village. It was filled with colorful hues. The clinic was located halfway up the mountain. A hundred-year-old tree stood at the entrance. Red ribbons waved in the wind.

Allie sat on the threshold and stared at the scene in front of her.

An old man came out of the clinic behind her. He was wearing a white coat and asked, "From the moment you came back from the city, you have been absent-minded. If you lost your phone, then you lost it. When my grandson comes, I'll ask him to buy you a new one."

They all felt that she was sad because she had lost her phone. She was sad because she had lost her secret, but no one knew.

"Dr. Delgado, it's fine."

"Then be happy. I can't stand seeing you worried."

Allie nodded. She did not want to make the old man worry.

The old doctor was the owner of the clinic, Clement. When he was young, he was a military doctor in the army. After he retired, he had a doctor's license and came here to open a clinic. After a while, he settled down here and did not want to go back to the city.

Clement pushed his glasses up and said, "That grandson of mine said that he would come to the hospital in the next two days, but he couldn't get out of the hospital. He didn't even put me, the grandpa, in his eyes."

"Dr. Delgado, a doctor's heart is benevolent. Didn't you say that in his eyes, the patient is always the most important?" Allie chuckled.

"In the future, no one will be able to take care of him. It will be difficult to even find a wife. He's almost thirty years old, yet he doesn't even have a good attitude." Clement and Allie ridiculed their grandson who had just returned to the country.
