C18 Humiliation

The car suddenly sped off, startling Soong Qian so much that she nearly jumped out of her seat. The man sitting next to her narrowed his eyes slightly, a subtle smile playing at the corners of his mouth.

As she drove home, she muttered under her breath, "Ugh, running into you today was just my luck. Last time, you kissed me out of nowhere in the bar restroom, and after I pushed you away, you passed out drunk on the floor. I took you home out of kindness, and you ended up throwing up all over my bed. Then you had the nerve to insult me with money when you woke up."

Her lips moved in a quiet grumble, her white teeth biting down on her red lips in frustration. She shot a glare at the man in the passenger seat, her pout evident. "Ever since I met you, nothing has gone right. You're such a troublemaker, a jinx."

Lost in her own complaints, Soong Qian didn't notice the man's eyebrows furrow sharply at the word "jinx," a flash of anger crossing his eyes. It was the first time someone had cursed him like that, blaming him and calling him a jinx. In the business world, he was known for his power and influence, with people constantly seeking his favor. No one had ever dared to call him a jinx before.

He admitted that this time it was his fault. He was intrigued by the escort's singing and pretended to be drunk to see what she was up to. However, he didn't expect to hear such a conversation. Could it be that he really misunderstood her last time?

Soon enough, amidst Soong Qian's mumbling and Sunn Yuanhann's pondering, they arrived at Soong Qian's small apartment. After parking the car, Soong Qian helped Sunn Yuanhann upstairs and dropped him onto her bed, which now had new sky-blue sheets.

Just as she settled Sunn Yuanhann in, worrying whether he would throw up on her bed again tonight, there was a knock at the door. A menacing voice from outside called, "Soong Qian, I know you're in there. Open the door."

The harsh voice startled Soong Qian, making her jump as if the floor was on fire. Her face scrunched up like she had bitten into a bitter melon. Meanwhile, Sunn Yuanhann, lying on the bed with his eyes half-closed, took in the scene, and a subtle, charming smile gradually appeared on his lips.

Not daring to delay, Soong Qian quickly went to open the door.

The Bear strode in with two of his henchmen, immediately grabbing the cup from the coffee table and smashing it to the floor. The glass shattered into countless pieces, glinting under the light, each shard reflecting Soong Qian's bewildered and frightened face.

"You've got some nerve, kid, trying to mess with us," The Bear sneered at Soong Qian, his eyes filled with anger.

Soong Qian took a timid step back, her face turning as pale as a sheet, looking utterly pitiful. Her voice was soft, almost inviting trouble. "I don't know what you're talking about," she said.

"Don't know? Are you playing games with me?" The Bear chuckled darkly, his expression suddenly turning grim. He planted a foot on Soong Qian's couch, leaving a large, dirty mark on the pristine white cushion.
