C7 A Smart Character
He sneered, his eyes and brows filled with cold mockery and disdain. Sunn Yuanhann believed that the women in bars were usually smart enough to know how to handle situations like this. But clearly, the one in front of him was nothing like he imagined.
Staring at the money thrown in front of her, Soong Qian's eyes widened in disbelief, her lips slightly parted as she murmured, "You're giving me money?"
"What?" Yuanhann narrowed his long, deep-set eyes, looking at her coldly. The smirk on his lips was like that of a king who looked down on the world, while Soong Qian seemed like nothing more than an ant meant to grovel at his feet. "Is it not enough for you?"
Seeing his disdainful expression, Soong Qian suddenly felt breathless. She sprang up from the ground, her face a mix of anger and humiliation as she glared at Sunn Yuanhann, her white teeth biting down hard on her lip, her face pale under the sunlight.
Yuanhann's mocking gaze made Soong Qian's already unstable emotions boil over. With a buzzing in her head, she raised her hand and slapped him across the face.
Yuanhann's head snapped to the side from the blow, his eyes instantly darkening with a mix of fury and disbelief, a chill and murderous intent flashing in their depths.
After Soong Qian finished what she was doing, instead of feeling relieved, her anger only intensified. She grabbed the money from the table and shoved it into Sunn Yuanhann's arms, then opened the door and pushed him out forcefully. Without a second thought, she shouted "Get out!" and slammed the door shut with a loud bang, nearly hitting Sunn's nose.
The man standing outside was clearly at his boiling point, his features radiating a fierce intensity. The hallway was bright and silent, with a few seconds of deadly quiet, broken only by Sunn's angry but controlled breathing. He stood there, his entire being wrapped in a dark aura, looking as cold as the Grim Reaper himself. His eyes were fixed on the door, as if trying to see through it to the woman inside.
Suddenly, his phone vibrated in his pocket. Instinctively, he shifted his gaze from the door, took out his phone, and answered, "What is it?"
"Director Sunn, where are you right now? There's a company meeting at ten, and your attendance is required," said his personal secretary on the other end, her voice serious and formal, revealing her strict adherence to protocol.
Sunn Yuanhann quickly descended the stairs, his expression slightly grim. Once downstairs, he glanced around and picked a prominent building to address the person on the other end of the call.
There was a brief pause on the line, as if in disbelief. "Director Sunn, that's near the outskirts. What are you doing there?"
Yuanhann's face suddenly darkened, a cold smirk playing on his lips. "Come pick me up."
"Yes, sir."
Yuanhann's voice remained icy throughout, exuding a sense of aloofness and chill that was almost inhuman. His eyes, like ghostly orbs in the dark, shone with a ruthless gleam.
Before long, his secretary's car arrived downstairs.
Soong Qian stood by the window, watching as Yuanhann gracefully got into a Rolls-Royce. She couldn't help but feel a twinge of irritation.
