C3 The True Face of My Husband

From her reaction, he figured it was definitely her first time, but her lifeless demeanor was a real buzzkill.

Not only did he lack any tenderness, but his mouth was also annoyingly sharp. Ann Xiaomin gritted her teeth in anger, forcing a few words through clenched teeth.

"None of your damn business."

Gu Junbai, surprisingly unfazed, leaned down to her ear and said mischievously, "Not my damn business."

He emphasized the word "damn" deliberately. So shameless.

Still, his voice was incredibly pleasant, and he seemed to have a decent physique, though his face was a bit intimidating.

Ugh... she was going crazy, what was she even thinking?

Since she couldn't resist, Ann Xiaomin simply closed her eyes and let him do as he pleased.

The woman beneath him had the solemn, heroic look of someone ready to face their fate, which made Gu Junbai's lips curl into a slight smile, and his actions became unconsciously gentler.

Outside, the night was deep.

When Gu Junbai got up, Ann Xiaomin had already passed out. He grabbed his slacks, slipped them on, buttoned his shirt, and glanced at the sleeping, delicate woman on the bed. With a slight lift of one corner of his lips, he turned and left.

Steward Ning was pressing his ear to the door, trying to listen in, and nearly fell forward when Gu Junbai suddenly opened it. He managed to steady himself just in time, but was startled by Gu Junbai's intimidating face, taking a moment to adjust.

"Young Master."

Gu Junbai's deep, inscrutable eyes turned icy cold in an instant. "Did you enjoy listening in?"

Steward Ning shuddered, bowing as low as he could. "Young Master, please forgive me. The Master insisted that I ensure you complete the wedding night, to help the family line continue. I had no choice."

Gu Junbai let out a cold snort. "I'll spare you this time, but don't let it happen again."

Steward Ning followed behind Gu Junbai, hesitating as he recalled the woman's pitiful screams from earlier.

"Young Master, you might have gone too far tonight. You promised the Master that if Miss Xu was willing to marry you despite the rumors of your disfigurement and paralysis, you would treat her well."

Thinking of Gu Hong gave Gu Junbai a headache. He had no desire to marry a woman he hadn't even met, yet here he was, married and all.

"Steward Ning, you better hope you had nothing to do with drugging me, or else..."

"Drugging? Young Master, I truly know nothing about that!"

Judging by Steward Ning's reaction and Gu Junbai's understanding of him, it seemed he really was unaware.

"You wouldn't have the guts anyway. Alright, you can go."

Gu Junbai dismissed Steward Ning and returned to his bedroom, heading straight to the bathroom. Standing at the sink, he reached up to peel off the soft mask from his face, revealing his true appearance.

This is a face that could make any woman scream with excitement—flawless, strikingly handsome, and beyond criticism. His cool, almond-shaped eyes have a slight upward tilt, deep and clear. A nose as prominent as a peak, lips thin and beautifully red, and a chin that's both strong and charming. Every feature is perfect, and it's no exaggeration to say he could turn the world upside down.

Ann Xiaomin woke up in the morning sprawled out on the bed, silently processing the events of last night. After what felt like ages, she dragged her sore body to the shower, got dressed, and put on her makeup before leaving the room.

Outside, a servant was already waiting. After greeting her politely, they led her downstairs for breakfast. Ann looked at the lavish spread on the table and muttered to herself about the wastefulness of the rich, then started to devour the food. Noticing the surprised glances from the two servants standing nearby, Ann had to restrain her natural instincts and eat more gracefully, mindful of protecting Hsu Yaying's reputation.

As for her new husband? Ann couldn't care less about his whereabouts. She wished he would disappear forever.
