C1 Challenge

Today marked Yang Chuxia's third day at the Flying Eagle Combat Group Base on the desolate Planet No Mi. Devoid of water and air, the planet's temperature plummeted to a frigid -80 degrees Celsius. Venturing outside the base required donning a spacesuit, and only Mecha Soldiers clad in their Mecha suits could brave the harsh environment.

The base of the Flying Eagle Combat Group stood like a colossal dome nestled in the northeast of Planet No Mi, sheltering all its inhabitants within.

Yang Chuxia traversed the lengthy metallic corridor to reach the Fighting Field in the new recruits' training area. At the heart of the hall lay a circular Fighting Platform, sprawling across 300 square meters, where numerous soldiers engaged in vigorous sparring.

Selecting a spot at a comfortable distance from the action, Yang Chuxia settled in to observe. Since reporting to her immediate superior on her first day at the base, she had spent her time exploring every corner of the facility.

Among the combatants, a female soldier caught her eye. She wasn't particularly tall, but her striking features and robust physique stood out. She was locked in combat with a towering male soldier, his body a mass of muscle. Yet, he was steadily losing ground to her relentless assault.

Yang Chuxia found herself fascinated by this warrior named Yag. Over the past two days, she had devoted most of her time to watching Yag's bouts. Her strikes were swift, fierce, and precise, with a ferocity that targeted her opponents' vulnerabilities without mercy.

The Fighting Field erupted into a buzz of excitement when Yag sent the male soldier flying with a whirlwind kick. A collective gasp filled the air as someone shouted, "Oh my god! Admiral Edi is here!"

Soldiers around the Fighting Field, including those in the midst of combat, snapped to attention, heels together, saluting the imposing figure of Admiral Edi as he strode in confidently.

Yang Chuxia joined in the salute, her respect for the Supreme Commander of the Flying Eagle Combat Group, a name she had revered long before her arrival, unwavering.

Admiral Edi was a figure of legend. The Flying Eagle Combat Group, known for its surprise assault tactics, rarely engaged in frontline battles. They were deployed on missions to execute stealth attacks or to aid in the rescue of other combat groups.

Under Edi's leadership, the Flying Eagle Combat Group boasted an unblemished record of success. Not only was the group a paragon within the Alliance forces, but Edi himself was a general with an unbroken streak of victories. It was rumored that since his days as a recruit, no one had yet surpassed his military training scores.

Not only was he the top-ranking officer in the Flying Eagle Combat Group, but his combat skills were also unmatched within the group.

After lowering her hand from the salute, Yang Chuxia, like the soldiers around her, stood at attention for their esteemed Supreme Commander!

At 29 years old, General Edi was a commanding presence at around six feet tall with a muscular build. He moved with the grace and power of a leopard prowling through the jungle, exuding a dynamic sense of strength.

His features were strikingly handsome, with a chiseled appearance that was almost sculptural. His thick black hair framed deep blue eyes that were as profound as the ocean, and his prominent nose sat above thin, sharply defined lips that seemed too alluring to resist. His appearance gave off an air of cool detachment that was hard to penetrate.

Yang Chuxia found herself captivated by those sensuous lips, losing herself for several seconds before being brought back to reality by the thunderous cheers around her.

General Edi had come to assess the combat readiness of the new recruits. After just three days of training, his presence at the Fighting Field was a testament to his decisive nature.

Dressed in the same black, form-fitting short-sleeved shirt and long military trousers as the soldiers, General Edi stepped into the center of the Fighting Platform, surveying the troops gathered around.

A hush fell over the Fighting Field as everyone held their breath in anticipation, hoping to be the lucky one chosen by General Edi to spar with.

It didn't take long for General Edi to point directly at Yang Chuxia, beckoning her with a command, "You, come down and fight with me."

Caught in the envious stares of hundreds of soldiers, Yang Chuxia's mind briefly stalled. She glanced around in confusion, only to see all eyes on her. She pointed to her own nose and silently mouthed to General Edi, "Me?"

Standing at the center of the Fighting Platform, General Edi nodded affirmatively, "Yes, you."

The soldiers around Yang Chuxia buzzed with excitement, thinking she was the one chosen by General Edi. They nudged and encouraged her to step forward quickly.

With nerves on edge, Yang Chuxia approached General Edi on the Fighting Platform. She swallowed hard, looked up at him, and respectfully saluted, addressing him with a tentative, "General!"

Laughter erupted from beneath the Fighting Platform as the height disparity between the two was comically large!

Yang Chuxia stood at most 1.60 meters, while Edi towered nearly half a body taller than her. Side by side, they presented the most charming height mismatch, reminiscent of a tall father standing next to his 12 or 13-year-old daughter.

General Edi was taken aback. He had only noticed the exceptionally petite female soldier among the taller ones after approaching the Fighting Platform. Intrigued, he had called her up, not expecting her to be quite so small.

The Alliance Army enforced strict standards for the height, weight, and health of its recruits. The minimum height for female soldiers was set at 1.65 meters. By all accounts, Yang Chuxia's stature should have precluded her from enlisting unless she possessed unique technical skills that warranted an exception.

Reflecting on the new recruit files he had reviewed, Edi could not recall any female technicians among them.

This suggested that the woman before him had likely used connections to infiltrate his unit. Furthermore, it seemed probable that her motivation for joining was less about defending peace and more about a personal agenda.

General Edi wasn't being conceited. Over the years, numerous women had found creative ways to join the Flying Eagle Combat Group, all with the aim of winning over the Alliance Army's most eligible bachelor, Edi Bebe. Yet, he had dismissed each one with various reasons and excuses.

After observing Yang Chuxia in silence for several seconds, General Edi's expression turned stern as he commanded, "Dismissed!"
