C45 I will Protect You
A man with black hair and blue eyes stepped through the doorway, forcefully pushing the door open. He announced, "Hello! Miss Yang Chuxia, we're from the Security Bureau. We need to speak with you. Please accompany us."
Yang Chuxia stepped back, her brow furrowed. "What does the Security Bureau want with me?"
The man with black hair and blue eyes reached out to press on Yang Chuxia's shoulder, insisting, "Miss Yang, if you come with us, you'll understand what this is about."
Realizing they intended to take her by force, Yang Chuxia's heart sank. She pushed the man's hand away and responded icily, "I'm sorry! I belong to the Flying Eagle Combat Group. Without General Edi's orders, I won't go with anyone. Have you received his consent? If not, I suggest you contact him first."
It was clear to Yang Chuxia that these men had done their homework; they knew she was the one they were looking for. Most likely, they were aware that Edi and the others were absent and had timed their visit accordingly. Yang Chuxia was determined not to go with them.
The three men outside followed the black-haired, blue-eyed man inside, encircling Yang Chuxia.
The man with black hair and blue eyes spoke sternly, "Miss Yang, it would be in your best interest to cooperate and come with us. It would be unfortunate if you were to get hurt."
Yang Chuxia smiled, cocking her head to one side, and queried, "So if I refuse to cooperate, are you planning to use force to subdue me and take me away?"
A man with brown hair and green eyes interjected impatiently, "Let's just take her back already. We're wasting time."
The black-haired, blue-eyed man gestured politely to Yang Chuxia, saying, "Miss Yang, there's no point in resisting. Please come with us."
Meanwhile, the other three men drew their standard-issue handguns and aimed them at Yang Chuxia. The brown-haired, green-eyed man barked, "Move it!"
Yang Chuxia felt a heavy sense of dread. She wasn't afraid of these men, but rather the person pulling the strings behind the scenes. But since Edi had assured her he had everything under control, she felt no need to go with them.
Yang Chuxia sprang into action, crouching low and unleashing a fierce 365-degree sweeping kick that sent four men tumbling to the ground.
She then leaped up with incredible speed, her elbows striking the wrists of the two men in front of her simultaneously, causing their guns to clatter to the floor. With her hands open, she grasped their wrists, twisting and yanking to dislocate their arms.
Behind her, as if she had eyes in the back of her head, she lifted her right leg and kicked the guns from the hands of the two men behind her. She then delivered powerful kicks to their chests, left and right. With two resounding thuds, the men were sent flying, crashing heavily onto the ground in front of the kitchen door.
Her movements were too swift for the four men to even react before they were outmaneuvered. The two with dislocated wrists screamed in agony, like pigs being slaughtered!
The other two men on the ground experienced such intense chest pain that their vision darkened, leaving them struggling to get up. All four were utterly stunned.
Yang Chuxia approached the two men she had knocked down and, with a few swift movements, dislocated their limbs. Trained in martial arts and medicine, she had an intimate knowledge of the human body, and her technique was exceptionally practiced.
The two men writhed in pain, their bodies breaking out in cold sweat, as they spat out curses in frustration.
Yang Chuxia coolly removed their ties and used them to gag their mouths. She then dealt with the remaining two men in the same manner, tossing them all into a heap in the yard. Dusting off her hands, she turned and walked back to the dining room, resuming her meal of noodles as if nothing had transpired.
The man with black hair and blue eyes at the top of the pile managed to spit out his gag. Gritting his teeth against the pain, he called out, "Dr. Yang, you are openly defying the Security Bureau and assaulting its officers. This is a blatant disregard for the law. If you do not respect the laws of our alliance, you will face severe legal repercussions!"
Yang Chuxia chuckled and replied, "Haha, without General Edi's consent, you attempted to take me by force. That's a violation of military law and a disrespect to General Edi himself. Prepare to face my severe punishment."
While talking, she glanced around the dining room and then strode into the kitchen to grab a large cucumber. With a swift motion, she hurled it, effectively plugging his mouth. "Unless you want me to gag you with a rag, keep it down," she said, before resuming her meal of noodles.
The four men had never experienced such humiliation in their lives. Yang Chuxia had dislocated their arms and legs; otherwise, they would have leaped up and blown her head off with a gun. They writhed on the courtyard ground, emitting muffled groans.
Yang Chuxia went back to the kitchen to wash vegetables and prepare dinner.
Edi and Sean burst through the door. Upon seeing the four men lying on the ground, they were at a loss for words.
Yang Chuxia had finished cooking and brought the dishes out from the kitchen.
Seeing them return, she set the greens she was carrying onto the table, wiped her hands on her apron, and cheerfully greeted them, "Hi! Perfect timing, I've just finished cooking. Come and have dinner."
If not for the people lying in the yard, groaning in pain, Edi would have felt the tranquility of a peaceful, warm home. Approaching the four men, he frowned and asked, "Are you from the Security Bureau?"
The men nodded frantically.
Sean stepped forward, removed the cucumbers and ties from their mouths, and then silently stepped aside.
Edi gave the men a brief, cool look, sending a shiver down their spines and silencing their whimpers.
Turning toward the dining hall, Edi saw Yang Chuxia, dressed in Lafite pajamas, leaning back in her chair like a harmless little creature, her smile radiant. He couldn't resist patting her head, his eyes twinkling with amusement as he complimented, "Well done!"
The man with black hair and blue eyes called out loudly, "General Edi, please release us!"
Edi nodded at Yang Chuxia, signaling her to help the men set their limbs right. Yang Chuxia pouted and retrieved the men's pistols from the dining hall's small cabinet.
Edi's gaze grew stern as he pulled out a chair and sat down, inquiring, "Did they point their guns at you?"
Yang Chuxia nodded in agreement.
Edi's demeanor relaxed as he said nonchalantly, "Just set their feet right."
After nodding, Yang Chuxia stepped outside. Sean, standing in the courtyard, gave her a concerned glance, seemingly inquiring if she was injured.
She shook her head and proceeded to expertly realign the legs of the four men.
Having overheard Edi's command, they remained utterly silent throughout, scrambling out the door as soon as she finished.
The trio then settled down for a meal together.
While eating, Edi mentioned, "We'll head back to the base after we're done here."
Yang Chuxia nodded, then hesitated before asking, "Um, is it really okay to handle it this way?"
Edi responded with a calm assurance, "It's fine. They won't dare to bother you again."
