“Ibk, what did you just say? Artists are jobless people?” Nifemi yelled after her but Ibukun banged the door instead.

“You shouldn’t have spoken like that. You know how much she likes him” Tolu said with a small smile.

‘I know that’s why I spoke to her like that. Someone needs to snap her out of her fantasy and stupid imagination” Nifemi replied and Tolu frowned.

‘That’s what she just said. She’s not you, you are not her. She the right to love whatever she wants. You as well have the right to love whatever you want but you do not have the right to criticise someone else because of what they love” Tolu said.

“Besides what’s the big deal in liking a musician and a sensible one at that?” Tolu asked as she shook her head.

“But that didn’t give her the right to call artists jobless people. Does she even have an idea who an artist is?” Nifemi asked angry and Tolu laughed.

“She did the same thing you did to her back to you. you criticized her hobby and she criticized yours. So what?” Tolu asked.

“You know if she goes to twitter or Instagram and post the statement she made, she’ll garner a lot of hate and comments but if you dare go to any social media and say that liking Lashe is a stupid hobby and fantasy, permit me to say you won’t be able to take it” Tolu said as she snickered.

‘If they find out who are you and where you live, I doubt if you’ll survive it” Tolu said as she looked at the food in front of her.

“I suddenly lost my appetite” Tolu said as she stood up.

‘Mommy won’t let you go scot free for wasting her food, so if swallowing works for you. start swallowing your food” Tosinmile said.

Tolu sighed and laughed at Tosinmile’s words before she sat down, washed her hands and started eating.

“Apologise to her when she comes her later” Tosinmile said to Nifemi who pursed her lips and nodded.

Ibukun wiped her tears as she stared into space. One of Lashe’s music was playing softly in the background. She picked her phone and clicked on Lashe’s photo album on her phone. She started scrolling through the pictures as more tears ran down her cheeks.

Her room door opened and Ibukun didn’t bother to check who it was. The person dropped her tray of food on the table and sat beside her.

“He’s quite cute” Nifemi said and Ibukun turned to her and Nifemi managed to wear a small smile.

“I’m sorry. Very sorry” Nifemi said and she watched as Ibukun sniffed her tears and didn’t reply.

‘I was wrong” Nifemi said and Ibukun slowly nodded.

“About the artists, that came out wrong. I just said that out of anger. Artists are the ones who show us how beautiful in world is pen and colours. A musician is also an artist and musicians are definitely not jobless” Ibk said and Nifemi smiled.

“Or you wanted to say Lashe is not jobless” Nifemi said and Ibukun nodded.

“Yeah, Lashe is not jobless” Ibukun said as Nifemi reached out and wiped her tears.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t know it would make you cry” Nifemi apologised again and Ibukun nodded as she adjusted her seating position.

“But do you not like Lashe, he’s very cool you know” Ibukun said and Nifemi laughed.

‘When did I say I didn’t like him? If I didn’t like him, do you think I will agree to keep watch for you while you went for those night concerts?” Nifemi asked and Ibukun smiled as Nifemi unlocked her phone and went to her music list.

She turned and showed Ibukun “I have about five of his songs” She said and Ibukun smiled as Nifmei pulled her into a hug.

“I’m sorry for saying such hurtful words knowing how much you liked him” Nifemi said as she rubbed Ibukun’s back.

‘It’s okay Sister Nifemi. I knew you didn’t mean it” Ibukun replied.

“Do you think they’ll easily make up?” Tolu asked and Tosinmile glanced at her and shrugged.

“That’s a given. Nife probably just got sensitive” Tosinmile said and Tolu played with her fingers.

“Don’t you think I went overboard with my words?” Tolu asked and Tosinmile picked the remote as she changed it to a music channel.

“She’s still my elder sister after all, in the middle of supporting Ibukun, don’t you think I talked too harshly or too coldly to her?” Tolu asked and Tosinmile yawned.

“No I don’t so. You were correcting her, at that moment; the hierarchy didn’t matter. She did something wrong and someone needed to make her realise it” Tosinmile replied and Tolu nodded still playing with her fingers.

“Besides, I don’t think Nifemi would take it to heart. You didn’t talk rudely so, there’s no big deal” Tosinmile added as the music channel started showing an MV of Lashe’s song and Tosinmile burst into laughter.

“This guy ehn. Shey I should report him that he’s disturbing the peace of my home?” Tosinmile asked and Tolu burst into laughter.

“He’s quite the dancer though” Tolu said watching the MV.

“Ibukun only emphasised on his singing skills” Tolu added and Tosinmile nodded.

‘He’s skilled at both though” Tosinmile said Tolu nodded.

“He’s actually really cute” Tolu said with a small smile.

‘You need to see the way the departmental registration office became crowded when a girl saw him and recognised him. He had even passed by me two times and all that was on my mind was that; he’s a really cute guy until someone recognised him and called him by his name. The place just scattered” Tolu added and Tosinmile laughed.

“Girl, he has over 3 million followers on Twitter. He has foreign fans as well” Tosinmile said with a short laugh.

“The guy is a popstar. A big celebrity” Tosinmile added.
