C16 Level a Ability User, Xueh Tu!!
"Well, if it isn't the Grade A Ability User, Wild Wolf!"
A voice laced with sarcasm pierced the air, catching the attention of Yang Chen and his companions.
Yang Chen's brow furrowed as he turned toward the source of the sound.
A burly middle-aged man emerged, his companion a pale, gaunt youth who looked as though he hadn't seen a good meal in ages.
The drowsy elder trailing behind Wild Wolf perked up, his eyes gleaming with a flicker of interest.
But upon setting his gaze on Yang Chen, the elder's eyes sharpened with a hint of surprise, though his reaction was so subtle, it went unnoticed.
Yang Chen, on the other hand, seemed to have an inkling of what was happening. He subtly shifted his stance and watched the imposing figure with a keen eye.
The middle-aged man's face bore a ghastly scar, slashing from his forehead down to his mouth, giving him a menacing appearance.
A faint, metallic scent of blood emanated from him, while the pale young man behind him maintained a sinister grin.
"Xueh Tu!"
Wild Wolf's face darkened at the sight of him, his expression turning sour.
Wang Teng, too, seemed to recognize the intimidating figure, his face contorting with distaste.
Xueh Tu's lips curled into a sneer as he eyed Wild Wolf's companions, his gaze dripping with scorn.
"Did you bring your two disciples to Jiangnan City to make a statement, Wild Wolf? Seems like your judgment is slipping!"
Wild Wolf paused, glancing at Yang Chen with a bemused expression. Was this guy mistaking Yang Chen for his disciple?
"It's none of your concern!"
Wild Wolf retorted sharply.
At his words, Xueh Tu's face twisted in anger, and a blood-red aura exploded from him, rippling through the room like a tidal wave.
The elder behind the counter flicked his finger, and a burst of spiritual energy shot forth, compressing the menacing aura to a mere ten-meter radius.
"Keep it down! Any damages and you owe me tenfold," the elder's voice floated through the hall, light yet commanding.
Xueh Tu's face twitched, but he quickly recovered with a chuckle.
"Elder Moo, I wouldn't dream of breaking the rules," he replied, his voice smooth but edged with tension.
The hall buzzed with the energy of the gathered Ability Users, their attention fixed on the unfolding drama.
"Is that A-class Ability User, Xueh Tu? Who's dared to cross him?"
Whispers of intrigue spread among the onlookers. But when their eyes landed on Wild Wolf, understanding dawned.
"Ah, it's Wild Wolf. These two are notorious rivals! We're in for a treat—a clash of A-class Ability Users is always a spectacle!"
The murmurs grew louder as anticipation built.
Wild Wolf, his expression grim, faced Xueh Tu. He had come to introduce Yang Chen to the chief supervisor, not to stir up trouble. Yet, fate had thrown him into Xueh Tu's path.
It was clear that avoiding confrontation was no longer an option.
"Mr. Yang, please excuse me for a moment. Once I've handled this, I'll take you to Grandmaster Chen," Wild Wolf murmured to Yang Chen.
Yang Chen gave a slight nod and turned his attention to Xueh Tu.
The ability that Xueh Tu had unleashed was potent; Yang Chen could feel his own spiritual energy thickening, slowing its flow within him.
"Domain-specific ability, huh?" Yang Chen's eyebrows quirked up, a flicker of interest in his eyes.
Wild Wolf, having delivered his message to Yang Chen, let a ferocious grin spread across his face. His arm transformed into metal, glinting with a silver radiance that flickered in the onlookers' gaze.
"I swear, if I don't leave you crippled today, I'll take your surname!" Wild Wolf's torso bulged dramatically, his clothes shredding to reveal rock-solid muscles.
Boom! Spiritual energy burst forth, sending a terrifying shockwave rippling through the air—the unmistakable might of an A-class Ability User.
Wild Wolf's form blurred slightly before he launched himself forward like a human cannonball, his fist rocketing towards Xueh Tu.
Xueh Tu's face tightened with concentration. Both he and Wild Wolf were A-class Ability Users, but while Wild Wolf's power lay in brute strength, Xueh Tu's abilities leaned towards manipulation and control. In a straight-up brawl, he was at a disadvantage.
"Blood Domain!" Xueh Tu's roar echoed as a ten-meter radius around him filled with a dense aura of blood. To those peering in from outside, the area turned a deep crimson.
Wild Wolf's advance slowed perceptibly, but the proximity of the two combatants left little room for pause. His punch flew out with unstoppable momentum!
Bang! Xueh Tu caught the blow, yet the sheer force behind it sent shockwaves through the air.
Xueh Tu's frame shook as he let out a furious bellow, "Back off!"
His veins pulsed with power, a brilliant red glow erupting around him. The surrounding space became saturated with his energy, which then surged into his arm and exploded outward.
Swoosh! A streak of crimson light struck Wild Wolf squarely in the chest.
But Wild Wolf, a veteran of countless battles, was prepared. As Xueh Tu made his move, a shimmering silver light had already enveloped Wild Wolf's chest.
Metalization! An A-class Ability User could cloak themselves in their power, and Wild Wolf was no exception.
Clang! The sound of metal rang out as Wild Wolf's other arm, now a blade of steel, swung through the air, cutting through the blood mist to land a heavy blow on Xueh Tu's face.
Thud! Xueh Tu was hurled back, crashing into the door. But just as he collided, a gentle spiritual energy cushioned his fall, holding him aloft.
"Cough, cough, that door's not cheap—try not to smash it," came an aged voice, resonant and clear.
Wild Wolf's demeanor shifted to one of respect as he turned and offered a bow to the elder behind the counter.
"Yes, Elder Moo!"
Yang Chen's gaze flickered with recognition as he observed the old man, realizing he couldn't discern the depth of his cultivation. This meant the elder was surely beyond S-class—a humbling revelation.
Yang Chen marveled inwardly. Even a mere counter attendant here wielded such formidable power.
In the midst of this, the pale-faced youth sprang into action. Shadows flickered across the hall until he materialized beside Wang Teng, a sly smile playing on his lips.
Wang Teng's instincts screamed, his body tensing as a premonition of danger washed over him.
"If your master strikes mine, then it's only fair I take you down," the youth whispered, his voice a soft menace in Wang Teng's ear.
With a subtle lift of his hand, a dark apparition emerged—a spectral warrior donned in a samurai garb and a ghostly mask, brandishing a katana.
As the youth's hand descended, the shadowy figure mimicked the motion, its blade slicing through the air towards Wang Teng.
"You're asking for it!"
Wild Wolf's eyes blazed with unbridled fury, a tempest of rage swirling within his pupils.
To think that Xueh Tu's disciple would dare to strike at his own and even attempt murder!
But Wild Wolf's reaction was a tad too slow; by the time the youth's hand came down, it was already too late to intervene.
Elder Moo, perched behind the counter, narrowed his eyes, ready to step in, but a voice whispered in his ear, urging restraint. So he held back.
After all, to commit murder under his watch would require the audacity of a Grandmaster!
And while Xueh Tu's disciple was formidable, he was not yet at the Grandmaster Level.
Wang Teng's mind reeled with confusion. Facing such a daunting adversary for the first time, he felt overwhelmed, his C-class Ability User status offering little comfort against this superior force.
The other Ability Users in the vicinity were equally shocked. This was, after all, the headquarters of No.98 Ability User in Jiangnan!
To dare such an act here was tantamount to suicide. How could this pale-faced young man be so bold?
Even Xueh Tu's face paled at the audacity.
The feud between him and Wild Wolf was significant, but it had never escalated to murder!
For a moment, even Xueh Tu found his disciple's actions inscrutable.
"Cease!" Xueh Tu's voice rang out, commanding a halt.
If his disciple committed murder, the consequences would be dire for both of them.
But the young man seemed deaf to his master's call, his face twisted in a maniacal grin as the warrior phantom behind him quickened its strike, aiming for Wang Teng's neck.
In an instant, however, the young man's expression shifted.
He felt an overwhelming force seize his arm—or rather, the phantom's arm—gripping it with an ironclad hold that rendered him powerless to complete the strike.
Lifting his head abruptly, the young man locked eyes with a gaze as vast as the cosmos itself, within which lurked an elusive black hole.
"Thinking of killing me? You seem to have forgotten who I am," a scornful voice boomed in the young man's ears.
