C24 Fighting the Flying Tiger!

A tiger's roar thundered through the air, silencing the cacophony of Spirit Beasts as if they had been struck mute. As the enormous shadow descended, Yang Chen finally caught sight of the massive creature before him—a tiger as white as snow, distinguished by a single, massive wing on its body.

A thick aura emanated from the Flying Tiger, intensified by the enveloping white fog and the oppressive force of White Tiger Mountain, making its presence even more formidable. It was then that Yang Chen realized why a multitude of A-class Ability Users had failed to subdue this beast.

Even Yang Chen felt his spiritual energy begin to roil within him. Thankfully, his robust Qi and blood were strong enough to quell the internal turbulence.

"So this is the Flying Tiger?" Yang Chen muttered, his gaze hardening as he took in the creature's colossal form. Among all the powerful beings he had encountered, this Flying Tiger was second only to a Grandmaster in strength.

"Middle Period of S class, my foot!" Yang Chen blurted out, swearing under his breath. This was no Middle Period—this beast was teetering on the brink of the S class peak!

Frustration bubbled within him; the intelligence had clearly indicated a Middle Period S class creature, yet here it was, at the peak of its power. Talk about being misled.

Meanwhile, in the No.98 Building, Chen Tianxin strolled up to Elder Wang, a smirk playing on his lips. "Do you think that kid will lose it when he realizes the Flying Tiger isn't as the dossier described?"

His expression was one of playful malice, mirroring the look Yang Chen had given the python earlier.

Elder Wang lifted his head, meeting Chen Tianxin's gaze with a smile. "You do love to stir the pot. That creature could give even the S class experts of No.98 a run for their money. The kid's in for a rough time."

"A little hardship isn't a bad thing. The kid's raw talent is like an uncut gem—it needs to be shaped and polished," Chen Tianxin remarked nonchalantly.

He valued Yang Chen's potential highly. If not for past events, he might have taken him on as a disciple. But now, even if that wasn't possible, he was content to help refine Yang Chen's abilities.

"Aren't you concerned he'll end up as a snack for that Flying Tiger?"

Elder Wang said with a teasing glint in his eye as he regarded Chen Tianxin.

"If the Flying Tiger can actually devour a grandmaster's body, then I'll eat this skyscraper! But make no mistake, that kid is in for a rough time."

Chen Tianxin replied.

"Well, since our guest has arrived, I won't waste brainpower on such matters. As long as you've got a handle on things, that's what counts."

Elder Wang shook his head, then reclined back on the ground, his eyelids drooping slightly.

Chen Tianxin paid no mind to Elder Wang's gesture, simply gazing towards the south with a hint of light flickering in his eyes.

Meanwhile, at White Tiger Mountain, Yang Chen stood before the Flying Tiger, speechless. He wasn't scared, but he was definitely annoyed.

Damn it, can't the intelligence folks get their act together? If I didn't have my strong cultivation, I might have actually met my end here!

This won't do. I'll need to have a serious talk with Elder Wang about No.98's shoddy intelligence work.

Useless!

The Flying Tiger's massive eyes locked onto Yang Chen. His aura wasn't particularly strong, but it was sufficiently irritating—just like the annoying pests it had encountered before.

And so, the Flying Tiger was agitated.

Roar!

A thunderous roar echoed as Yang Chen's silhouette was mirrored in the tiger's vast eyes. A fierce wind rose, shredding the scattered remains of a python across the ground.

Yang Chen's expression grew stern. Fearless as he was, an actual battle would still be a hassle.

The wind clawed at Yang Chen's form, but his grandmaster's physique was not so easily disturbed.

Even without his Spiritual Qi reaching the Master Stage, the sheer physical suppression he could exert was formidable.

"Break!"

Yang Chen focused, releasing waves of blood-red energy from within. His vital force swelled, the overwhelming pressure rolling out like a tidal wave toward the Flying Tiger.

Boom! Boom!

The gale was ripped asunder. In that moment, the surrounding mist thinned considerably, some dispersed by the wind's fury, and the rest shredded by the force of Yang Chen's vital energy.

In the eyes of the Flying Tiger, a glimmer of human-like emotion emerged—a look of hesitation. The little creature before it had previously exuded a feeble aura, but now, in a flash, it had become overwhelmingly powerful, even surpassing its own strength.

What in the world was happening?

The Flying Tiger, not known for its intelligence, was utterly baffled. But there was no time left for its confusion, as Yang Chen's fist was already hurtling toward it, wreathed in flames and venom.

Conventional wisdom would say that poison and fire are incompatible forces, yet both had been assimilated by Yang Chen, making them his own unique abilities, free from any conflict.

The combined might of these two forces was nothing short of terrifying!

With a swipe of its paw, the Flying Tiger unleashed the formidable power of a gale—a Gale Force ability documented in the records, and one that Yang Chen was well aware of. His punch wasn't intended to bring down the Flying Tiger, but rather to gauge its strength.

Boom!

The tiger's paw, which seemed soft at first, turned to steel upon impact. The fearsome power of both adversaries burst forth, ripping the air around them to shreds.

Yang Chen's gaze sharpened as he tangled with the Flying Tiger. The scene was almost harmonious: a diminutive figure leaping and dodging atop the colossal Flying Tiger, with flashes of green and red light twinkling like neon.

The Flying Tiger grew increasingly agitated. It had come lured by the scent of blood, hoping for an easy meal without a fight, only to encounter this troublesome opponent. Like a flea, it hopped about its body, which would have been tolerable had it not been for the surprisingly painful blows.

With a thunderous roar, the Flying Tiger summoned a gale that whipped through the heavens and earth. A tornado formed silently, drawing in a terrifying force.

The Flying Tiger charged into the heart of the tornado, left with no other option as Yang Chen clung to its back, out of reach. The beast hoped the tornado's sheer destructive power would shred Yang Chen to pieces.

But it had miscalculated one crucial detail: Yang Chen's physical form was incredibly resilient.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Explosions echoed all around, the tornado's vicious tearing force lashing at Yang Chen's face like blades. Yet Yang Chen remained unfazed. Despite the pain, he felt no real threat.

"Don't move!"

But Yang Chen's temper flared up under the provocation of the Flying Tiger. His fists, like a tempest, relentlessly pounded the beast's body, each blow making the Flying Tiger's flesh burst open.

Drops of red blood fell from the Flying Tiger's body.

Roar! Roar!

Overwhelmed by pain, the Flying Tiger flapped its massive wings and took to the skies. Yang Chen, caught off guard, found himself seated atop the beast.

Fortune was on Yang Chen's side as he managed to grab hold of the Flying Tiger's fur just in time, preventing a perilous fall.

The Flying Tiger, now seething with irritation, violently shook its body, its wings beating furiously in an attempt to dislodge Yang Chen. Yet, the tenacious young man clung to its fur, refusing to relent.

"You mangy beast, trying to throw me to my death? Pah!"

With a furious curse, Yang Chen unleashed a surge of dark energy that poured into the Flying Tiger's wounds and coursed through its body without resistance.

In a flash, a devastating force tore through the beast from within, and a small black hole emerged. A powerful suction from the hole began draining the Flying Tiger's spiritual energy and abilities, bit by bit.

Roar! Roar! Roar!

Panic gripped the Flying Tiger as it never imagined a black hole could form inside its body. This was sheer madness, defying all logic!

The essence of spiritual energy and the strength of the Flying Tiger's gale were siphoned into Yang Chen through the black hole.

"Ding! Congratulations, host, you've acquired a new ability: Gale Force!"

Yang Chen's pupils flickered, and the Gale Force erupted. A gentle breeze enveloped him, lifting his body effortlessly into the air.

"Holy smokes, I can actually fly!"

Yang Chen had assumed the Flying Tiger's flight was due to its enormous wings, but it appeared that the Gale Force was the true source of its aerial prowess.

Impressive, indeed!

Basking in the newfound stability of flight, Yang Chen finally released the Flying Tiger's fur.

The Flying Tiger's massive eyes met Yang Chen's with a bewildered gaze.

Hold on, why does that superpower feel so familiar?

That... isn't that my own ability? How did it end up with Yang Chen?

Damn, I didn't know you could do that!

The Flying Tiger's wide eyes brimmed with immense confusion.

What in the world is going on here?

The Flying Tiger was genuinely baffled.

Yang Chen rubbed his palms together, then flashed a vicious smile at the Flying Tiger. "You cur, trying to mess with me? I swear, if I don't beat the crap out of you, my name isn't Yang!"
