As soon as Zhang Chen spoke, the pair was caught off guard, their attention riveted on him in an instant. Zhang Chen gave them a quick once-over.

Standing at the desk was a middle-aged man clad in a suit and tie, his figure on the plump side and looking rather slick. Before him stood a young girl in a white dress. Her attire was modest, her face lightly made up. Though not tall, her figure was remarkably balanced. Her round face was animated by her large, expressive eyes. She was the picture of innocence, which explained Governor Chen's disgraceful behavior.
