C133 He Was so Happy!!

A hundred million?

A hundred million!

They've all lost their minds!

Hee Jiahua couldn't suppress his growing concern.

The stakes were now astronomically high!

Yet, the sight of Zhang Chen's smug grin reignited the flames of rage within Hee Jiahua.

What gives you the right, you worthless fool?

Blinded by fury, his eyes blazed with intensity.

With a scornful laugh, Hee Jiahua retorted, "Why wouldn't I dare? You think you, a nobody, can challenge me?"

"Raise it!"

At his command, the bodyguard swiftly lifted the bidding paddle.

A look of sheer arrogance swept across Hee Jiahua's face.

His demeanor radiated contempt.

The auctioneer, barely containing his excitement and nearly dropping the microphone—a percentage of the sale was his commission, after all—announced, "Young Master Hee from the Earth Room bids 190 million!"

A collective gasp rippled through the crowd.

The bid was now six to seven times the mansion's original value!

Murmurs and chatter broke out everywhere.

But Hee Jiahua wore a smug look, his voice icy as he challenged, "Your move!"

Silence came from Zhang Chen's end.

The auctioneer called out, "190 million for the first time!"

Hee Jiahua, taken aback, demanded, "Bid, will you!"

All eyes, filled with confusion, turned to Wang Yunan.

Caught off guard, she blushed with embarrassment.

"190 million for the second time!" the auctioneer announced.

Unable to contain himself, Hee Jiahua bellowed, "Bid already! Weren't you competing with me?"

Then, Zhang Chen spoke.

Echoing him, Wang Yunan cheerfully conceded, "Young Master Hee, you're far too formidable. I humbly admit defeat. The building is yours."

Her mimicry of Zhang Chen was spot-on.

Her words left the crowd stunned.

Hee Jiahua's eyes bulged in disbelief.

And then, laughter erupted throughout the room.

Only then did it dawn on them—Wang Yunan had no intention of bidding further. She simply wanted Hee Jiahua to dig deeper into his pockets!

Admiring gazes converged on Wang Yunan in an instant!

Ruthless!

Her single statement was valued at a whopping 100 million!

Hee Jiahua finally snapped out of it, his heart brimming with remorse!

But before he could process further, the host's voice, charged with excitement, rang out, "One hundred and ninety million for the third time, sold!"

The gavel came down, and the host had even managed to break the wooden hammer!

Hee Jiahua struggled to swallow, only now realizing he'd been played!

Rage surged within him in an instant!

Wang Yunan couldn't help but snicker to herself, giving Zhang Chen a covert thumbs-up.

She was truly impressed by Zhang Chen!

Only Lin Zhiqing, watching from below, had a complex glint in her eyes.

Could it be that he was planning to seek a partnership with Hee Jiahua?

This thought left Lin Zhiqing feeling conflicted.

But Hee Jiahua was too consumed with emotion to ponder further. His fists clenched, his body shaking with intense fury!

One hundred million!

He had lost a full one hundred million!

Ah!

Hee Jiahua was seething with anger, the rage in his eyes nearly spilling over!

Yet, ultimately, he had to suppress it.

The host announced with fervor, "Alright, ladies and gentlemen, that concludes our auction! Please welcome Vice President Zhu to the stage!"

Applause erupted from the audience.

Hee Jiahua shot Zhang Chen a venomous glance but resigned himself to restraint.

After all, he had outplayed Zhang Chen!

A smirk crept onto Zhang Chen's face.

He might not have secured the property, but the thrill of the moment was undeniable!

Promptly, Vice President Zhu ascended the stage, cleared his throat, and declared, "Now, I invite all winners of the auction items to come up and sign the agreement, followed by payment."

The room buzzed again as those called made their way to the stage to settle their payments.

Typically, by this point, the less significant attendees would have departed.

But today, not a soul stirred; everyone was eager to witness Hee Jiahua's moment on stage.

Before long, all the winners had completed their transactions and returned to their seats with their acquisitions.

President Zhu then proceeded, "Next, I invite the new owner of the property, Hee Jiahua, to come forward and sign the agreement, and make the payment."

All eyes instantly zeroed in on Hee Jiahua, their gazes gleaming with amusement.

With the crowd watching, Hee Jiahua approached with a dark scowl on his face. Zhang Chen watched him with a keen interest.

Hee Jiahua shot a cold glance at Wang Yunan's spot and sneered, "Some people are just too poor to be flaunting anything. Understand?"

He angrily grabbed the pen, but before he could sign, President Zhu interjected, "Hold on, Young Master Hee. I'm afraid you might have missed something."

"Just a reminder: this property won't be ready for another four years, and the renovations are still incomplete."

At that, the pen in Hee Jiahua's hand came to an abrupt halt.

"Four years?" Hee Jiahua echoed, stunned. "Since when?"

The crowd was equally bewildered.

Zhang Chen's interest was piqued, and he watched silently.

With a courteous smile, President Zhu added, "It's all stated on the detail page."

He glanced at the big screen, which once again displayed the property's details.

After a thorough search, the audience finally spotted the fine print in the bottom right corner—the condition that the property would only be delivered after four years. But the font was so obscure, blending into the background—how could anyone have noticed?

Laughter rippled through the audience.

Four years? With one hundred and ninety million at stake, how much would the interest amount to in four years?

Hee Jiahua's body shook with fury.

"This is a scam!" he bellowed, outraged.

Yet, as the event was hosted by the Dafu Group, he restrained himself from going too far.

President Zhu, still smiling, chided, "Careful, Young Master Hee. We did mark it clearly. You just didn't see it—even after I pointed it out to you."

"I..." Hee Jiahua faltered, at a loss for words.

The audience was in stitches, but Lin Zhiqing was fraught with concern.

Now, she might have lost even the slimmest chance of collaboration.

Without missing a beat, President Zhu added, "If you're having second thoughts, you're free to cancel your reservation."

Excitement sparked in Hee Jiahua's eyes as he asked anxiously, "Is that true?"

"Fine, I'm out!"

He had already forked over an additional 100 million. Having already shamed Zhang Chen, he saw no point in pursuing the purchase of the property any longer!

With a grin, President Zhu chimed in, "Certainly, but please remember our auction has specific terms. To cancel your bid, you'll need to forfeit 30% of your deposit as a penalty."

The crowd was stunned.

What's 30% of 190 million?

That's 57 million!
