Even though Zhang Chen was aware of Loong San's formidable abilities, he knew they were up against no ordinary foe.

With his jaw set, Zhang Chen bolted from the villa and settled into the Mercedes-Benz.

The vehicle took off at speed.

Fifteen minutes later, they reached the southern outskirts of the city.

The area was deserted, revealing an abandoned factory that loomed into view.

Zhang Chen's brow furrowed, a knot of anxiety forming in his chest.

Loong San steered the car into the woods to conceal it.

They exited the vehicle and edged closer to the factory.

Meanwhile, inside one of the factory's buildings, Lin Zhiqing was bound to a column.

Three men in snug outfits stood by her side.

The leader hung up the phone and scoffed, "Miss Lin, now that the call is finished, we'll release you once the five million is deposited."

Lin Zhiqing felt her heart lurch. The Lin family was already drowning in debt; where could they possibly find five million?

Her expression icy, Lin Zhiqing retorted, "You're not worried about us calling the police?"

The Eldest Brother smirked arrogantly, taunting, "You think we're scared?"

His demeanor sent a shiver through Lin Zhiqing.

Laoer, with a lecherous grin, sauntered over, eyeing Lin Zhiqing's striking figure with undisguised lust.

"Big brother, it's not often we come across such a fine woman! She's just a tool, after all. How about I have a little fun first?"

He licked his lips with a repulsive eagerness.

Lin Zhiqing's face tensed with alarm.

The Eldest Brother let out a sinister chuckle, "Go ahead."

Her eyes wide with terror, Lin Zhiqing could only watch as Laoer approached with a gleeful anticipation.

She fought desperately, but the ropes held her tight; she couldn't move.

But just as Laoer's hand was inches from grasping Lin Zhiqing, a sudden whoosh cut through the air.

Laoer's smile vanished as he reflexively snatched at the sound.

A stone was gripped tightly in his hand.

"Who's there?!"

Eldest Brother bellowed, his gaze piercing through to the outside of the factory.

Lin Zhiqing's eyes were wide with anticipation, shimmering with hopeful light.

As all eyes were fixed on the scene, a gaunt figure emerged slowly from the factory's shadow.

"Excuse the interruption, I'm here looking for someone," Zhang Chen said with an awkward grin.

He had planned a surprise attack, but they had detected him with ease.

The brows of the three men knitted together, a hint of confusion flickering in their eyes.

Lin Zhiqing was taken aback.

The joy in her gaze gradually waned, morphing into bewilderment, then longing, and finally settling into disappointment.

Zhang Chen had arrived, but to what avail?

Eldest Brother's eyes narrowed, his voice icy, "You're here for someone? And who might you be?"

Zhang Chen replied cheerfully, "I'm here for my wife. That woman inside, she's my wife. She wandered here by accident and caused you some trouble. I'll just take her off your hands now."

With that, he strode towards Lin Zhiqing, still smiling.

"Damn it! Are you playing games with me?"

Eldest Brother roared, fury blazing in his eyes.

He lunged forward, his hand shooting out towards Zhang Chen!

Zhang Chen's heart raced, his eyes bulging in alarm.

But then, the sound of something cutting through the air.

"Ah!"

Followed by Eldest Brother's agonized scream.

Zhang Chen froze.

He focused and saw Eldest Brother doubled over, his arm trembling fiercely!

On the ground lay a small stone.

The disparity was stark.

Zhang Chen inhaled sharply, his eyes awash with astonishment.

Soon after, Loong San's silhouette emerged with a steady pace.

Zhang Chen couldn't help but smirk; Loong San cut an imposing figure.

But there was no time for further thought.

Third Brother stepped forward, his voice icy, "We need to subdue him first! We can't afford any mistakes!"

Eldest Brother gave a curt nod, "Fine."

The trio charged at Loong San with alarming speed.

Zhang Chen's eyes blurred as he watched, anxiety gripping his heart.

Suddenly, the thud of their collision echoed through the air.

He watched as Third Brother was sent flying backward.
