Mr Cedric had instructed the top three students to visit the students under observation.

The top students could tutor the Observatory students during their free time, in order to avoid expulsion.

Lily, Eva, Sofie, Reed, Lucas, Ava, Tristan and three sophomore students walked into the class.

The observatory students were studying and doing some pop quiz amongst themselves.

The top students took their seats and began checking out their works, in order to avoid expulsion.

"No Luke! The answer is Chemosynthesis and not photosynthesis" Lily corrected.

"Okay... Thanks Lily!" Luke said, staring at Lily. His gaze shifted to Reed and he found Reed glaring at him. He gulped hard.

"Eva, can you explain these maths equations?" Se-ri requested.

"The first one is quadratic equation. The formula for solving quadratic equations is:

x = (-b ± √(b² - 4ac)) / 2a

Where:

• x is the variable

• a is the coefficient of x²

• b is the coefficient of x

• c is the constant term

For Example:

(1) Solve x² + 5x + 6 = 0

a = 1, b = 5, c = 6

The second one is Algebraic equation. The formula for solving algebraic equation: ax+b=c" Eva explained as Se-ri nodded.

"Senior Reed, how do I solve this physics questions" Yoon asked, whilst flipping through her book.

"Let me have a look" Reed said and pursed his lips into a thin line.

"This topic is Machines. To get the mechanical advantage (M.A), you have to divide load by effort (l/e). As for Efficiency, you'll divide mechanical advantage by velocity ratio, multiplying it by hundred percent (M.A/V.R×100%)" Reed smartly explained.

"Ohh! I get it now" Yoon grinned.

"Senior Lucas, I need help with foreign language" Ceres said as Lucas moved up to her table.

"It's Spanish! Can you translate these words to English?" She requested.

"Sure. Buenos días familia means Good morning family in English" Lucas translated fluently.

"Wow! You're really good at this" Ceres smiled.

The place was rowdy and noisy; students located empty seats to feast on their meals. Lily carried her tray and eye searched for her friends.

She moved towards their seat and sat with them, Lucas was also eating there.

"Hey cutie" Lucas waved.

"Hi Lulu... I haven't seen you in ages, I missed you" Lily whined as her friends laughed, including Lucas.

"Girl, you just saw him this morning" Sofie said, still laughing.

"And after that, we were separated for four periods" Lily groaned as Lucas patted her hair.

"We're together now, isn't that what matters?" Lucas asked cupping her cheeks as she nodded cutely.

"You were really good though, with your Spanish and Japanese accent" Sofie commended.

"Oh! that... It's just one of my super powers" Lucas smirked.

His gaze fell on Eva and he noticed that she'd been quiet.

"Hey Eva! Are you okay?" Lucas inquired.

"Mn! I'm fine" Eva said, looking away.

"I'll be leaving to transferring to Seoul High next section" Lucas dropped the bombshell.

Lily and Eva gasped.

"See? Lulu, you're leaving me. And lemme guess you'll travel abroad for your college education" Lily pouted cutely.

"You're right, I'll be leaving South Korea to Europe" Lucas said.

"I'll miss you Lucas" Eva cooed as Lily and Sofie turned their gazes to her.

"Are you guys a thing now?" Sofie asked.

"Almost" Lucas said with a smirk.

Eva placed her head on his shoulder, whilst pouting cutely.

"Wow! I'm impressed. Eva, you broke the girls code for him" Lily said unbelievably.

"What's girls code?" Lucas asked curiously.

"Girls code- Eva ain't allowed to fall in love or date my male best friend" Lily explained.

"Ohh! But she already did" Lucas chuckled.

Reed got to the food counter, he ordered his food, picked up his tray and eye searched for Lily.

*Senior Reed is eating in the cafeteria today?*

Reed placed his meal on the table before taking his seat. His gaze turn cold when he saw Lucas seated there.

He stood up and was about leaving when Lily caught hold of his wrist.

"Please stay!" Lily said with cute puppy dog eyes as he sat down again. She snuggled up closer to him.

Ava and Danielle stood up from their seats and catwalk to the middle of the cafeteria.

"Announcement! Announcement!! Announcement!!!" They said in unison.

Lily and Lucas moved towards the school's tap to fetch some warm water with their water bottles.

"Do you think Eva is Pearl?" Lily asked further.

"I don't know! It feels like a mystery to me. I feel like they have a connection to each other" Lucas said in a daze.

"Hmm! Did you notice any differences between them?" Lily inquired.

"Not really. Oh! The first day pearl came to school. She possessed an outspoken and talkative character, really extrovertic. And few weeks into the section, she became shy and innocent looking. She looked fragile like she'd break if she was touched" Lucas narrated.

"Ohh!" Lily said, gently biting her lips.

"The character switch... Could it be that Pearl had a twin sister?" Lily continued.

"Maybe" Lucas said, a hint of uncertainty in his voice.

"Mom! I don't like my new school" Pearl whined.

"It's okay baby, you're sounding this way because your twin sister isn't there with you right?" Mrs Choi asked.

"Hmph! The students are boring too momma" Pearl said grumpily.

"Your sister is still recovering, just stay in your new school for a few weeks more. When she recovers then both of you can swap schools" Mrs Choi said softly.

"That's better! Thanks Mom, you're the best... After Eva of course" Pearl grinned and ran off as her mom chuckled.

Lily bent down to fetch some water into her water bottle. She also refilled Lucas' own.

Reed walked towards them. He glared at Lucas as Lily shifted from him, Lucas looked at her in shock.

Reed smiled at Lily, winking at her. He wore his headphones, whilst walking away.

"Lulu, you'll be leaving Luxe High soon. Don't you think it's time to resolve your past differences with Reed?" Lily asked curiously.

"Mn! You're right. We've held this war and grief for way too long" Lucas concurred, facing her.

"Timeout guys" Ethan called out. He brushed his hair backwards with his fingers as the female students went gaga.

"Senior Ethan" Ceres called out, running up to him.

She stumbled against her leg and was about falling but someone caught her mid air.

Ceres eyes slowly fluttered open. She blinked repeatedly as her gaze landed on Ethan's face. She gasped, palming her lips cutely.

Ethan chuckled at her reaction and helped her stand erect.

"Are you okay? You should watch where you're going" Ethan cautioned as she bit her lips guiltily.

"I'll be more careful from now on" Ceres smiled as her gaze met his.

"Senior Ethan, I got you some water to cool off after your game section" Ceres grinned. He accepted the water bottle, uncorked it and gulped down its content.

"Thanks!" Ethan appreciated.

"Senior, would you be free by weekend?" Ceres asked.

"No! I've got a party to attend" Ethan simply said.

"Oh! Senior Ava's party" Ceres said sadly, taking her lower lip into her mouth.

"Thanks for saving me again" Ceres smiled, taking hold of his hand.

Ethan's gaze wandered around the arena as he eye searched for Ava. His gaze finally landed on her.

Ava looked at him, disbelief evident in her eyes. Her eyes held visible tears in them. She got fed up and ran off.

Ethan noticed her movement and pulled away from Ceres.

"Are you going somewhere?" Ceres asked, pulling him backwards.

"Yeah!" Ethan said and ran out of the arena.

➳ 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐌.

Ava ran into the restroom. Tears freely flowed from her eyes; she couldn't even fathom why she was crying.

It's not like Ethan was hers or something, why does she feel hurt about that?

She rushed to the tap, swiftly turning it on and washing off the traces of tears from her face.

Ethan barged into the restroom, gasping hard. It was obvious that he had ran all the way just to catch up with him her.

Ava tried leaving the bathroom but Ethan was fast to block her path.

"Ethan, let me go!" Ava said almost in tears.

"I won't!" Ethan blurted.

"You were flirting and frolicking with Ceres down there" Ava said tearfully.

"It wasn't like that, I only caught her from falling" Ethan tried to explain.

"And then what? The fuck! You're not even mine and I'm..." Ava was still saying when...

Ethan cut off the rest of her words with a warm hug. Her eyes widened in utter shock.

"I'm sorry, Ava" Ethan apologized after they parted.

Ava finally got off his hold. She ran out of the restroom without saying any other word.

Ethan stood there, staring at Ava's retreating back. He ruffled his hair in frustration.

➳ 𝐋𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐒𝐈𝐃𝐄

Eva took in deep breaths. It's been four years since she visited this place. Her favourite place.

The water had soft ripples on its surface. The atmosphere had a soothing and calm touch. She could spot some beautiful water lilies which floated on the blue waters.

She slowly unpacked her hair, allowing it to flow freely to the rhythm of the gentle breeze.

This place holds a lot of memories from her past. The place where Pearl taught her how to swim, her happy place where she'd come to clear her head.

She walked down the wooden aisle. Her uniform shirt, swaying to the direction of the wind.

She'd forgotten her worries and drifted off to escape reality.

Finally, she sat down at the edge of the aisle, gently dipping her legs into the lake.

"Hah!" She breath, whilst closing her eyes.

•𝐅𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊•

12 years ago...

Pearl ran after Eva, holding a stick of cotton candy. They were identical twins and only 6 years old. Their hairs were packed into two ponytails.

They wore matching outfits and tied matching ribbons on the hairs.

"Whoa!" Eva gasped when she caught sight of the lake. It was beautifully accentuated with colourful flowers.

Pearl caught up with Eva, grinning.

"Gotcha!" Pearl squealed. She followed the directions of Eva's eyes and gasped when she saw the lake too.

The lake looked untouched and really captivating.

Eva stepped closer to the lake, alongside pearl. Their eyes, filled with curiosity of the lake they'd just behold.

"Eva! Pearl" Mrs Choi called out as they giggled.

"Where did these girls run off to" Mrs Choi contemplated.

"Shh! This is our secret happy place from now on, got it?" Pearl asked in a low voice.

Eva simply nodded.

Mrs Choi finally spotted them.

"C'mon babies, it's time to go home" Mrs Choi announced as they ran up to her.

"Momma, we found a beautiful lake" Eva announced as Pearl palmed her forehead.

"Oh really? That's good" Mrs Choi smiled, taking hold of their little hands.

"What did I say about secret?" Pearl shook her head.

It felt like yesterday. The first day, She'd spotted this lake.

Her fingers brushed her silky hair backwards. Her soft pink lips puckered up in absolute subtlety and relaxation.

4 years ago...

"Freeze" Lucas said from behind. The trio were a game of 'police catch the thief' around the lake side.

Eva froze, her breath hitched.

"Pearl, run now before he catches up with you" Reed half yelled as Eva took to her heels.

"You cannot catch us" Reed grinned, he had never been happier.

Lucas chased Eva; she jumped into the lake, she swam up to the surface.

Her hair and clothes got drenched. To her surprise, Lucas jumped into the pool too.

"Get back here... You!" Lucas said, swimming towards her.

"No! Get away from me" She screamed playfully, swimming as fast as she could.

Reed laughed his lungs out as the drama unfolded.

Lucas finally caught up with her. He wrapped one of his arms around her petite waist, drawing her close to himself.

Her gaze met his and she found him staring. He leaned closer to her and was at the verge of kissing her when...

"Watch out guys!" Reed said, taking off his shirt and jumping into the lake, separating Eva from Lucas.

Reed grinned at them. In the next minute, he moved around in the water as the water made sploshing sounds; he was being a third wheel and he loved it.

Eva splashed water on Reed and he returned the same energy. Soon, the trio were splashing water on each other's bodies playfully.

The guys paused for a moment when they noticed that Eva was completely drenched and her clothes had gotten transparent, exposing her peaches curves and perky nipples.

"Enough now, Pearl, you need to get changed. Luckily I brought extra clothes" Lucas said as Eva smiled.

Since Eva swapped school with Pearl, the students called her 'PEARL' and she got used to it.

Eva was still lost in a daze when a familiar voice called out to her.

"Eva?" Lucas called out in shock.

Eva's eyes slowly fluttered open as she drifted back into reality. She turned to face Lucas.

"What- what are you doing here? How did you know about this place?" Lucas asked at once, moving towards her.

He sat down beside her, also dipping his legs into the lake. He slowly intertwined their hands as their gazes met.

"This is my happy place" Eva breath.

Those words sounded familiar, like he had heard it somewhere before.

"This way guys" Eva directed Lucas and Reed.

"Whoa! This place is beautiful" Reed and Lucas said in unison as they grinned.

"It's my happy place" Eva smiled shyly.

"Wow!" Lucas gasped.

"Welcome to my peaceful paradise" Eva finally said.

"It was you all along" Lucas said drifting back into reality.

"Who?" Eva asked in a daze.

"You're pearl from four years ago?" Lucas asked for confirmation.

"No" Eva said and pursed her lips into a thin line.

"I'm Eva... The girl you and Reed fell in love with four years ago" Eva blurted, shocking Lucas to the core.

"What!! How?" Lucas asked in total confusion.

"Hah" Eva sighed.

"Pearl and I are twin sisters. I was sick when she attended the same Junior High as you and Reed- Junwha Junior High school (𝐉𝐉𝐇𝐒).

She got bored of the school and my mom asked me to swap school with her when I recovered and we did.

I got to class on my first day and before I could introduce myself publicly, I was being addressed as Pearl by everyone.

I didn't know how to tell the students that I wasn't pearl. As time went by, I got used to the name.

And then we became friends. I can vividly remember our hangouts, our favorite spots in Junior High, How we played here.

Though, I don't remember everything that happened in the past completely.

The day you confessed your feelings to me. I was overjoyed but later on, Reed confessed his feelings too; I got confused, unable to choose between either of you and that was when that fight between both of you occured" Eva paused her explanation to catch her breath.

"I was already in the third stage of congestive heart failure and needed a heart transplant but that fight... That fight triggered the heart attack and led to my black out.

Pearl... She gave up her heart just to save me. The dead girl that was reeled away from the ward was Pearl and not me.

She loved me so much that she sacrificed her life just to save mine" Eva said as tears flowed down her cheeks.

Lucas was also in tears. Finally, the grief he'd held unto for over four years had been alleviated, Felt like he gained his lost breath.

"How come you're my junior now in school?" Lucas inquired.

"I was sent abroad for further treatment after the surgery and I spent a year there. I experienced a long term memory loss, forgetting Pearl, you and even Reed.

I could clearly remember my parents but most of my memories were blur.

I recently regained my memories but not all. I returned to South Korea and entered Sophomore class (9th grade).

That was when I saw you for the first time in two years. You were already in Junior class (10th grade)" Eva explained. Her tears flowed profusely from her eyes.

Lucas pulled her into his warm embrace, patting her hair gently. They slowly parted as he tucked some strands of her hair behind her ear.

"I missed you alot Eva. I felt like dying too. I thought I'd lost you" Lucas said and kissed her forehead.

"I missed you too" Eva cooed, whilst wiping off her tears.

"How about a swim to cheer us up?" Lucas requested, standing up and walking away from where she sat.

He briskly unbuttoned his uniform top, revealing his full muscular chest and abs.

Eva got up and gasped when she turned to face him. Her eyes got glued to his chest as she moved closer to him.

"Can I touch it?" Eva asked softly and Lucas simply nodded.

Her fingers etched closer and gently landed on his chest. He took in sharp breaths as her fingers slowly grazed through his skin.

Her fingers trailed downwards as she touched his abs. Her fingers surveyed his skin and finally got wrapped around his neck.

Felt like she was intentionally making him crave more and she was really reaching his last straw of restraint.

"Let's swim" She said, taking off her uniform. She was only clad in a bra, which cupped her soft breasts, and a skin-tight.

Lucas dived into the lake. He swam for a while and reached out to Eva, carrying her into the water.

The moment her body entered the water, she hugged Lucas tightly as her soft peaches pressed hard against his chest.

"Eva, I'm glad we got reunited again. I've always wanted to say this but didn't know how to. Saranghae, Eva Lovia Choi- (I love you, Eva Lovia Choi)" Lucas cooed with a smile.

Eva's cheeks flushed bright red. She palmed her face cutely.

"Nado Saranghae, Lucas Kaizen Kyung- (I love you too, Lucas Kaizen Kyung)" Eva cooed.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" Lucas finally asked the long awaited question.

"Yes! Yes!!" Eva gushed.

In split seconds, Lucas captured her soft lips. Her hands instinctively got wrapped around his neck as they made out hotly.

Their tongues collided and danced in a perfect symphony. His fingers captured her soft mounds, squeezing it gently.

"Ouch!" She moaned into his mouth.

"So it's official now! We're dating" Lucas grinned as Eva giggled.

The girls carefully placed their shopping bags into the boot.

"Drop me off at Tristan's place and take them to wherever they wanna go" Sofie grinned.

"Yassssss!" Lily squealed.

"As our personal Chaffeur, be a good boy and drive safely" Sofie grinned.

"Yes Ma'am" Liam said as they laughed.
