C14 Vice President
Tang Yan immediately understood the situation—it was just the boss's daughter coming down to get a feel for the place. No big deal.
Watching Lee Weiwei and Chen Tao huddled together, discussing whether the boss's daughter would be easy to deal with, Tang Yan cleared her throat and tapped her fingers lightly on the table.
"Alright, can the new assistant manager help you complete your team tasks?"
The two immediately fell silent, and Tang Yan chuckled softly. "The design plans are due by the end of the month. I already have some ideas, so you can go back to your work."
Not daring to gossip any further, they returned to their desks. Tang Yan wasn't concerned about the new assistant manager as long as her projects weren't disrupted.
She turned on her computer and skillfully opened her design software to start drafting. Tang Yan was working on a promising project, and if the final product was impressive, she'd have the chance to make a name for herself in the industry.
With this in mind, she was very focused on the project. Closing her eyes, inspiration flooded her mind, and she quickly sketched lines on the screen.
Just as she was halfway through, the department head walked in and clapped his hands.
"Everyone, pause your work for a moment. The assistant manager from the main office is here, and we're having a meeting. Remember to show some respect."
Lee Weiwei and Chen Tao exchanged glances with Tang Yan. The earlier rumors were true—judging by the department head's eagerness, it was likely the big boss's daughter!
Tang Yan couldn't understand their gossip and followed the group into the conference room, immediately noticing the woman in the center. Her steps halted abruptly.
Today, Tang Li was dressed in a tailored women's business suit, exuding elegance and sophistication. The diamond necklace around her neck was equally impressive, hinting at her distinguished background.
However, what caught Tang Yan's attention wasn't Tang Li's expensive attire, but rather why she was here.
The department head quickly provided the answer—
"This is Miss Tang Li, sent from headquarters to oversee our operations as the new Vice Director. Let's give her a warm welcome!"
The room erupted in applause, with everyone clearly curious about the new arrival. Many colleagues, aware of her background, were already trying to ingratiate themselves.
Tang Li wore a confident smile and addressed the room gracefully. "I'll be the Vice Director here from now on. If you have any work-related questions, feel free to ask me. I'm happy to help."
Her words were met with another round of compliments.
While everyone's attention was on Tang Li, Tang Yan quietly took a seat, pulling out her phone to research the company she worked for. To her surprise, she discovered it was indeed a subsidiary of the Tang family. No wonder Tang Li had been assigned here as Vice Director—it was all orchestrated by their father.
Tang Yan was starting to regret her decision. She should have researched the company more thoroughly before sending in her resume. Working at the same company as Tang Li, who was now her boss, was definitely not ideal for her.
As the new manager, Tang Li naturally kicked things off with an enthusiastic speech. After finishing, her gaze shifted and landed on Tang Yan, who had been keeping her head down. A mysterious smile played on her lips.
"I heard the company recently took on the design project for Kachi's spring limited edition jewelry. Is that right?"
