C15 Intentionally Making Things Difficult

Almost simultaneously, Tang Yan looked up, staring intently.

After receiving confirmation from the department head, Tang Li confidently stated, "I've reviewed the project details and find it quite interesting. I'm sure everyone is curious about my capabilities, so why not let me take over this project? It'll be a good opportunity for me to get some practice."

All eyes immediately turned to Tang Yan.

Everyone knew that the Kachi brand project was handled by Tang Yan's team, and she was particularly invested in it. But with the vice director making such a statement, could Tang Yan really refuse?

Ignoring the curious glances from others, Tang Yan looked at Tang Li and caught a hint of mockery in her eyes. She was certain that Tang Li was doing this on purpose.

This project wasn't the company's most important one, but Tang Li, having just arrived, insisted on taking over the project Tang Yan was managing. If that wasn't targeting her, what was?

"The Kachi brand jewelry design? I remember this project was under Tang Yan's team."

The department head called her name and directly announced, "Tang Yan, the project you're handling will temporarily be handed over to Vice Director Tang. Coordinate with her and make sure everything goes smoothly!"

See, that's the advantage of having power.

Despite all the effort and thought she put into securing this project, Tang Li could easily take everything away with just a word, leaving Tang Yan without even a chance to argue.

Tang Yan was naturally unwilling to accept it. However, she was rational enough to know that making a fuss now would only embarrass her further and wouldn't win back the project. It was better to let Tang Li have it.

"Alright, Director, I'll coordinate with the Vice President," Tang Yan said, swallowing her frustration.

Seeing her restrained anger, Tang Li chuckled softly and strutted out of the conference room in her high heels, with everyone watching.

"Team Leader, are you okay?" Lee Weiwei cautiously approached Tang Yan, clearly trying to comfort her.

Tang Yan shook her head slightly. She wasn't going to let a minor setback like this get to her.

Another team member, Chen Tao, was puzzled. "Why did the new Vice President take an interest in our project? It's not even the company's top priority. It's such a shame; all those design drafts you did, Team Leader, might just go to waste—ouch! Why'd you step on me?"

Lee Weiwei shot him a furious glare. "Watch what you say!"

Couldn't he see the team leader was already upset?

What they didn't know was that Tang Li's interest in the project wasn't about gaining experience or proving her capability. It was simply to take something away from Tang Yan.

"I'm fine. Let's get back to work," Tang Yan said.

A little while later, Tang Li called Tang Yan into the office under the pretense of handing over the project. Tang Yan wasn't surprised at all, as if she had anticipated this move.

"Vice Director Tang, here are the previous jewelry designs and company philosophy for the Kachi brand that we compiled earlier. These are my initial drafts and design sketches for you to review."

Tang Yan's expression remained calm and indifferent, her tone devoid of any emotion, as if she truly regarded the person in front of her as just her superior. This demeanor left Tang Li, who was waiting to find fault, slightly dissatisfied.

The woman with the meticulously applied makeup lifted her chin, her gaze slowly sweeping over Tang Yan's face. Not seeing the anticipated despair or defeat, Tang Li felt a twinge of irritation.
